This was an incredibly upsetting and unnecessary way to handle a customer simply asking questions about the work she had paid for. The timelines also did not match what I was originally told, and throughout the alterations process I often felt unclear about what work was actually being completed on my dress. Ultimately, I felt significantly overcharged for the alterations that were performed. What made this especially frustrating was that the bridal boutique where I purchased my dress had actually quoted me less for alterations but recommended this seamstress to me. I chose to work with her based on that recommendation and expected a higher level of service, communication, and professionalism. For something as important and time-sensitive as a wedding dress, I expected clear communication, transparency about the work being performed, and a professional experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I would not recommend her.
