I haven't been to Morgan's for a long time, so definitely need to update my review. It used to be in a less populated area of Wynnwood, but the whole area just keeps growing. They have their own parking lot which is quite large. They said on the phone no reservation was needed. Marketing hint-we will squeeze you in sounds a bit better. They weren't empty but had plenty of space. I think they just had one waiter and one bus boy so both seemed very busy. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the steak and fries. We also ordered the side salad to share but our waiter told us it would be too much food! We shared both meals. I don't eat grits for breakfast but whatever they put in it made it heavenly. The steak was perfectly cooked, as were the fries. My only complaint would be that there was no veggies for a well balanced meal. How did we rectify that? Gulp...with the waffle, chocolate, whipped cream and vanilla dessert. Yum. Morgan's is cute with lots of plants and a rustic cozy atmosphere. Man for some reason NOWHERE in midtown area serves just good old fashioned waffles, so when I saw they had waffle OPTIONS already a huge green flag for me. Great flavors I had waffles and an omelet, huge portions for the price ( it's a little expensive but you're in midtown Miami, even McDonald's is $15+ for a simple combo lol) service was amazing our server was so nice and she was funny , cracking jokes with our table, there's indoor and outdoor seating. We were looking for some good breakfast around Wynwood and found this place. This gem was a 7 min walk from our Airbnb! I was so happy they served brunch all day every day. Brunch on a Monday? Mind-blown! We were seated quickly. We opted to sit on the patio since the weather was great. The staff was very friendly. Portion sizes were generous and the food came our quickly. The prices were reasonable as well. We ordered the fish tacos as a starter and I ordered an omelet, which came with toast and breakfast potatoes. Loved that they had a house made jam. Everything was delicious. It was so much food that we had to get to-go boxes. I highly recommend Morgan's and I hope to come back during my next trip at the end of this month. read more

Underwhelming would be an understatement I never like to knock restaurants but for the price of this place they have few issues I believe that need to be address. First the line . Waiting to getting sucked 30 mins of waiting in line like I was Disney world. There was not host/hosted but rather a frazzled employee would ask you how many . Grant I had 8 people with me so I expected a longer wait for a table . Once we got there, it was all down hill . The service was barley service. I'm sure our waiter was busy but he wouldn't even acknowledge you when you spoke to him . It was weird , half of our table got drinks and the other half got ours around 10-15 mins later. My girlfriends sangria tasted like how I would imagine a capri sun would taste if you left it in your hot car for a few weeks. My cold brew was pretty good and the free refill made the 7 dollar price tag worth while. The saving grace was the sticky bun I can describe to you how buttery and delicious that was 10/10 the rest of the food was meh and I had to return this chia pudding which was hands the most bland thick disgusting food item I have ever been served. It was very much Oliver Twist's grool but worse. The patio area was nice and it's in a pretty prime locale . I'm give 3 stars for the sticky bun And the patio everything else was 1 star. read more

One of the first brunch places I tried when living in Miami. We visited this past weekend and it was busy before noon with an hour wait. We ended up walking around yo past the time and came back. While waiting we grabbed a drink at the bar, note that if you're ordering from the bar it's cash only. We got the bloody Mary, which wasn't too special and my friend hit a mimosa, which was pretty large in size with a splash of oj. For brunch, I ordered the French toast per the recommendation of our server. I don't normally opt for sweet but this one was pretty tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet. It comes with a cinnamon butter and sliced strawberries. The other two dishes we tried was the chicken and waffle sandwich and the french man sandwich. The chicken and waffles comes weith cheese in the middle, I would normally think that it wouldn't go with syrup but it actually tasted pretty good. The French man comes with sliced potatoes and the sandwich has argula, egg, ham and cheese. Service was friendly and helpful even though it was crazy busy. Came here yesterday and the weather was perfect to sit outside. This place has a great ambiance, vibe and great food. I had the House cured salmon plate and my friend had the chicken and waffle sandwich. The Salmonn plate was delicious and fresh. My friend liked the chicken and waffle sandwich but could only eat one out of the four sandwiches as it was very filling! That can definitely be shared amongst a couple people. I also had a red sangria, it was fresh and delicious. This place has cute and trendy decor inside where you can take Instagram worthy pictures. Came here for brunch on a Sunday and we waited about one and a half hours. By the time we got in it was past morning, so I decided to go with an IPA brew. As far as the food goes it was really good, I got the French toast with mascarpone and it tasted really good. The cool part about the place is we were able to take our dog who just had a blast and got plenty of water. The service wasn't the best, I understand that it was packed but by the time we left there was nobody there and yet the service still seemed to lack. I never do bad reviews and if i do I always try to give it a second try but god this was bad. Firsy of all we ordered some sangrias I mean east drink to do well not here the sangrias were bitter and bad an after taste that was not good. We sent the sangrias back and i ordered a bellini well i got a glass of wine instead. My husband order a beer and I think that was the best of all the meal. For food we had the fried chicken , biscuits and gravy , chicken had ni flavor at all we had to just put hot sauce and did not even finish hald a plate and We also ordered the frittata it said that it came with sausage I dont know what type of sauce but it felt like they just got some hot dog and just made the frittata regarding taste , sane ee had to out hot sauce and salt because it did not taste as anything. Very disappointed, this place is super cute have outside setting and indoor is chic but foodwise not good. Giving 3 stars because of the service.!! My friend recommended this place while I was staying in Miami. We went there around 1-2pm on Sunday and it was really crowded - No parking space in the parking lot, long line of people. Fortunately we didn't have too wait too long since we made a reservation. We selected this place because of the reviews. We went on a Sunday morning for Brunch. We arrived about 1 and were told the wait was 45 - 90 minutes. We regretted not using the Yelp waitlist option. The wait turned out to be about 40 minutes. It's on a corner in Wynwood which is a cool area to walk around. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. I was hoping for something wonderful given the reviews. I ordered scrambled eggs with chicken sausage and asked to have Cornbread instead of toast. The cornbread arrived first. It was cool. Not cold, not warm, not room temperature. It was seriously sweet. So much so that I felt like I was eating sugar bread and not corn bread. The corn flavor really didn't come through and I LOVE cornbread. It also didn't have that nice cornbread crunch crispy top or sides. It was just soft, cool, sweet yellow bread. The eggs arrived WITH the toast, which I didn't eat and potatoes. It was just ok. The chicken sausage was ok, the eggs were ok and the potatoes were ok. Not awful and not anything that I would run back to have. My friend ordered an omelet with cheese. She didn't get any cheese. The waiter also arrived during our meal with a Cappuccino which we didn't order. He couldn't figure out who ordered it so he gave it to her. We were sitting near the bathroom which appeared to be a single occupancy bathroom, at least the men's was. I was facing the bathroom, which was my view during the meal. At one point I watched a man exit, which wasn't unusual, then shortly after a women (an employee) exited. Hmmmm....... So if you have no other options, or there's a short wait and just want a basic breakfast, then go. Will I make this a go to the next time I'm in Miami? Probably not. If you really want some good French toast, come to Morgan's! I was greeted very sweetly by the host and seated immediately. The waitress came over and asked me if I wanted a drink& I asked her for some water. When she came back with my water, I asked her for some recommendations because I have never been there before. She told me the most popular was the chicken and waffles sandwich, brioche French toast or breakfast burrito. I asked her if I could modify the French toast just a little. I asked for the Mascarpone French toast which costed $14 and add extra strawberries on top for $3.00. Over all, the taste of these scrumptious French toasts' were so delicious! It literally felt like heaven in my mouth. The price was spot on for the French toast. This looks amazing. I take a bite into my sandwich and almost died because it was soooooo damn dry. The flatbread was hard and not fresh. I accidentally dropped it and my friend thought it was my phone that's how loud it was. So I decided to forego the bread eat the inside. I had to ask for a dip to make this more palatable. I ask and I wait. And I wait. And then I get ahold of another individual who brings it out. Great. I douse it in the dip all is well. My friend had chicken and waffles. The food was good, but I wish there were more options on the menu for brunch. The service was not so great. Although the restaurant was empty, it took about 10 minutes after we were seated for our waitress to come greet us. She was also not very helpful with the menu when we had questions on a few of the items. It is my first time coming to this place and left with the worst experience ever... I am very disappointed, because I came to this spot with a couple of friends after someone recommended it to me. We came with very high expectations; the food was okay (5/10) but the service was VERY bad. I am not the confrontational type, but our server Monique was very rude, got our orders wrong and STILL wanted to argue with us with the "you said this, you said that" we are telling you our order was wrong, please own it and fix it, it is not a big deal...
