Our waitress only came to our table to take our order and then after our food was delivered, didn't check on us at all while we waited. We had to keep asking other servers for refills. We had ants crawling on the wall and on our table when we asked to be moved the lady said she was setting up a new table for more customers then walked away & did nothing about the ants. When we finally got our food my husband's French toast was cold & we asked for syrup the waitress looked at us weird & said that people don't normally ask for syrup for French toast. That was odd. Then at the end of our meal she tells us that the fryer isn't working and we can't have beignets, so frustrating because we were waiting 45min for beignets we never got! Just a couple of blocks down from Midtown is Morgans. I must admit I didn't know about this place until today. A friend decided to host her birthday brunch and we ended up here. So let's start with the positives! The food was good. I had three organic eggs sunny side up with wheat toast and hashed spuds. I was very happy my dish! The eggs were cooked perfectly which shouldn't be a surprise, but past experiences prove otherwise. One of my friends ordered the Voluptuous Grilled Cheese (Brie, gruyere and I can't remember the third cheese). She loved it and it was a very generous portion. The grilled cheese comes with the option of a salad, French fries or fruit. She opted for the salad which looked yummy. The other girls went with the chicken and waffle sandwich. They give you the option of a sriracha sauce which gave the sandwich a nice kick of flavor. We also ordered the sliders, cheese plate and beignets. The sliders were absolutely delicious! This is a great option is you're looking for a smaller meal. The beignets were good, but they don't compare to New Orleans. They are larger than any beignet I have ever seen. They come with a raspberry, chocolate or caramel sauce. The raspberry was a hit with our party! The sangria and mimosa were decent, but I have had better. The Moscow Mule on the other hand was on point! Refreshing and with just enough ginger. Overall a great spot for brunch which is served all day. The outdoor patio is quaint and beautifully decorated, and fortunately the weather was just perfect to enjoy our meal outdoors. The only real negative is that service is slow. GREAT SUNDAY FUNDAY BRUCH LOCATION!!! Brunch til 5 is great for sleeping in! Went with The BF this morning after a long saturday night. It was packed, but we were seated relatively quickly. We decided to go all out and order a carafe of mimosas. The BF had chicken and waffles (they smelled and tasted heavenly). I am a huge Eggs Benedict fan and these Eggs Benedict were amazing. I am going to have a hard time ordering something new the next time I visit. The only negative thing I have to say is that the service was pretty slow. We weren't in a rush and the mimosa's kept us entertained, but waiting 40 minutes for your breakfast to come out is pretty ridiculous. Horrible, slow and boring waitress. Literally took 10 minutes from the moment we sat down until a server came over, even though we were only 1 of 2 tables outside. Then when our waitress came over she had no personality and seemed we were a bother to her. I have to up my rating, simply because consistency is hard to find in Miami, and Morgan's consistently delivers great comfort food. The complementary cornbread they provide is one of the best I've had. It's got that homemade light fluffy feel, albeit very sweet. The Morgan's salad (mixed greens, roast beets, walnuts and goat cheese) is my favorite. Top it with salmon for an extra $9. I asked for my salad to be cooked medium and I got a nice 8 ounce filet that was perfectly moist and flaky. You'll want to leave room for dessert. Trust me on this one. Forget the carrot cake. Go straight for the beignets or bread pudding, or both if you have enough folks at your table. Their bread pudding is crave-worthy and the ultimate comfort food. The flavors change from chocolate to banana to pumpkin to raspberry, but it's always the perfect balance of a moist fluffy center with crunchy corners. They top it with freshly whipped cream and chocolate and caramel sauce. It's $10 but large enough to share between 2-3 people. I've had numerous brunch outings since my return to Miami in late August and perhaps it's for the best that Morgan's was my last stop before heading north for the winter; if I had tried it before, I'd never give another restaurant the chance to compete! While I'm still not too familiar with the area where Morgan's is located, once you're inside it's gates, it's hard to believe that the city of Miami is right outside. The huge parking lot, quiet atmosphere, and lounge/deck area could trick you into thinking that you're brunch-ing at someone's house in a quiet rural area. The atmosphere itself could be worth five stars, even if the food was terrible. But at Morgan's you don't have to compromise great taste for the atmosphere-- you really get both! I was able to try a few things on the menu as myself and a fellow diner split the omelete (choose your own ingredients) and the club sandwich. Both of these options were fantastic and filled me up for the remainder of the day (my favorite part of Sunday brunch!). I also got a chance to try the infamous grilled cheese, and, alas it's as good as the rest of the reviews claim-- and the french fries, which while outshined by the entrees are a delicious treat as well. Maybe there are other restaurants in Miami where you can get the ultimate brunch experience AND a hassle-free parking lot, but now that I've found Morgan's I'm not sure I need to look anywhere else! read more

Tip: You should drive here just to eat the French Toast because it is that amazing. I know French Toast seems really simple and basic but it is hands down the best I have had in my life. Topped with big, fat strawberries you can't go wrong. Breakfast is what these guys are known for. I came during Art Basel weekend so parking was a nightmare due to all the galleries and tents set up around Morgan's but normally parking isn't too big of a deal as they have a small parking lot. Just know that there is no valet. They make homemade cinnamon rolls and homemade sticky buns. If you need gluten free you can just order eggs. I'm sure the lunches are also tasty but we stuck with breakfast. During nice days (which are frequent in Miami) you can enjoy the outside patio which is beautiful. Went to Morgan's with a groupon deal and was not disappointed. Sat outside as the weather was breezy and cool. Not busy at all on a Wednesday nite. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I expected worse service based on the reviews I had read so it was a nice surprise. We were a party of 2 and ordered the cheese board ($15) that was huge...enough for at least 4 people. It included 3 or 4 cheeses, crostini, fig paste, grapes, cranberries and walnuts. For entrees we ordered the short rib ($26) which was served with mashed potaoes and baby carrots, and the meatloaf ($15) which came with mashed potatoes and green beans. Fine food, but if you're in Wynwood/Midtown/Downtown there's definitely better options with FAR better service. The staff here is so rude. Had brunch with some friends, we ordered full meals, a dessert, and a mimosa pitcher (and bloody mary for me). Despite all of this, they could not wait to rush us out the door. Both of my friends were asked multiple times (I'm talking 4-5x at minimum) if they were done when they clearly were not. After 2 hours since arriving, we were still enjoying mimosas, the manager actually asked us to leave claiming we'd been here for "like 3 hours" and were busy and needed the table. I've worked in hospitality and restaurants before and this is simply ridiculous especially for patrons who have spent $100+ not including a pretty generous tip. Overall, I understand restaurants and their staff can get overwhelmed with crowds, but when you host a Sunday brunch in Miami I think it's safe to say it will be busy but there is absolutely no need to be rude to paying customers. PSA to the restaurant owners: please teach your staff some manners, as you'll see all of the negative Yelp comments on this place are actually centered around your poor service. read more

Hidden freaking jewel! I just don't know where to begin or end! From a cursory view of Morgan's, there is nothing special. They don't even have a full bar! That said, they have some amazing chefs! It is very hard to explain the complex flavors that I had the opportunity to try. Having parking on site makes it a total bonus too! I ate the salmon special of the night, which turned out to be the last of the salmons they had on hand at night. My thoughts is that they ran short because I went on an Art Walk Saturday and they probably had higher than average traffic. I will need to check out their brunch / lunch options one day. My fiancé and I always like trying new and fun places. Wynwood always brings that for us and sure enough was the case with Morgan's. My fiancé had been here years ago and this was my first time. I was very happy to see the self-contained private parking lot that actually did have spaces when we pulled in, so already a huge plus! Haha! We were greeted promptly by the friendly staff and we opted to sit outside, which is unusual for us, but since it was cool out that night and very chilly inside, it just felt right. We used a Groupon on this visit, so we ran the table with options; to start, I had a Vegetable Blended Green Machine type of mixture and my fiancé had a Mojito of sorts. We then made our way to the Middle Eastern appetizer which was fantastic. Hummus, olives, cheese and bread sticks plus something else I know I am forgetting was a great way to start the evening right. As for the main course, I did not stray too far from the region as I had the Moroccan Inspired Stew. This was a great bowl of goodness, literally. It had chickpeas, tomato, onion, green and black olives, dried apricots, spices and couscous with a dollop of Greek yogurt! Wow! Just writing that makes me want to go back for more! I had plenty and surely enough for lunch the next afternoon. My fiancé had the brisket, which she admitted was not the best thing to have ordered that night as she typically likes that type of meat prepared differently, however the presentation and the polenta it came with, that I was able to try, was tasty. My only issue with this place was when they brought up plates so we could split some food 3 of the plates were very clearly unwashed which made me worried because of COVID. Otherwise this place is amazing! The French toast was the STAR! It wasn't just sweet which I appreciate. It had very complex flavors! Ugh it was so delicious my friends ordered a second! I had the eggs Benedict. They paid good homage to a classic! I loved the crispy English muffin. I do wish the potatoes that it came with were crispy. They were very well seasoned, but they were very soft. We were slightly weary of the friend chicken because of its soft color, but it's packing seasoning so don't fret! Could still use more color but as long as the flavor is there Im ok with it! The eggs were delicious and I wanted to dunk absolutely everything in the sauce on the plate! The Bellinis were so-so if I'm honest, but my friends felt it hit them so I guess that means they pack a punch which is worth the money haha. Not one month after my first visit to Morgan's, I found myself there again -- and it was even better the second time around. I was looking for a place to have a New Year's brunch with some of my closest and dearest friends, and I remembered how much I loved the place on my first visit, So, I naturally thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate the New Year. Apparently, so did everybody else. Morgan's clearly is a popular spot for brunch. We had to wait a bit (there were 7 of us and we wanted to sit outdoors), but we passed the time at the bar, downing mimosas and sharing NYE stories. Our server was super nice and funny. There was nothing specifically amazing about the eggs and the home fries were stale and old. My coffee was also stale and old which is unfortunate. The service however was energetic and happy. I can't believe this weekend was my first time here and it's just around the corner. I want to live at Morgan's and eat eggs benedict every day!! I usually don't go out for breakfast, since that's my culinary specialty, but now I'm ready to try everything on the menu. I had the eggs benedict florentine; Brent B. had the eggs benedict smoked salmon. Ok, so benedicts are not my specialty. The hollandaise sauce was perfect & light, as mentioned in numerous other Yelp reviews. The pitcher of mimosas is a great value and helped to bounce us back after a long night. Next on my list - the cheese plate. I watched longingly as it passed by my table several times - (one benefit of sitting inside by the kitchen). It is HUGE! Came here for dinner on a Saturday night... Excellent service. Ordered: -beef sliders: Comes with caramelized onions and cheddar. I ordered these medium rare, and at least one was cooked close to well done. They were average sliders, not something i'd necessarily look forward to ordering again. -melty turkey burger: This was probably the best dish we ordered, it was surprisingly good. It was extremely juicy and flavorful. The fries come thin and very crispy. The patty comes on a brioche bun and plenty of yummy gruyere cheese. -chicken & waffles: I felt a bit left down by this one. I actually chewed on a long piece of blond hair and had it taken back. The second chicken & waffles I ordered was better than the first though, it tasted fresher and juicier. The fried chicken on the first plate was a bit on the dry side. What you're getting with the chicken is really chicken tenders with waffles. It was alright, I'd say average. - bread pudding: I was wondering how good this bread pudding was for $10 but when it came out I was pleasantly surprised by the large portion, which justifies the $10 price tag. The bread pudding was a big plus in my dinner experience, very rich and flavorful. I'm picky with bread pudding bc some restaurants just can't deliver on bread pudding for some reason, Morgans did though. I recommend you leave some space to order the bread pudding for dessert. Overall I'm giving a 3 bc the experience was more average than anything. The best thing ordered was the bread pudding. The turkey sandwich was very good too but something that could be matched by most restaurants. We absolutely LOVED the breakfast burrito- it was so flavorful and loaded with goodies on the inside (2 Fried Eggs, Avocado, Rice & Beans, Fresh Salsa and Pulled Pork)! The burrito is HUGE so it's well more than enough food for anyone, even my husband who can eat was full. I had the fish tacos and they were very fresh and delicious! We sat upstairs, and had a nice table by the window. We ordered the stuffed for French toast, with raspberry filling. I strongly recommend it. It is nice and sweet, if you're feeling like dessert for breakfast. We also order the scrambled eggs with maple bacon, which is also delicious. Also, the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Like I said earlier, they are usually really busy so do not expect to eat and dash. Food Takes quite a while to arrive and so does the check. Ate here about two months ago and service was great! I wish I remembered my server's name so I could compliment his excellent service but I only vaguely remember that he wore glasses... Ambience is casual, outdoorsy, and what I would call "Wynwood for Grown-Up's." Service was fast especially considering that it was a Friday evening (we arrived around 6:45). The restaurant was relatively empty, however, so maybe I came at an opportune time. We had a Groupon for two and the server kindly reminded us that the included beverages could be alcoholic, something I found pleasantly surprising! We shared a cheese plate appetizer and complimented my mussels and white wine quite well, though I am admittedly not a sommelier. Mussels were good but I must say I've had them served in more savory sauce before. Everything else tasted great, however, so it was not enough of a setback to knock off a star.
