My only con the hot tea hasn't really been hot when I order it. I tried a few times and I didn't want to be fussy. I wonder if wherever the hot water is coming from is broken or just not super hot. But to be fair I didn't say anything and it didn't ruin the experience. We plan to return. read more

Morimori is a sushi restaurant with some Korean options as well tucked in the same shopping center as Publix in Mt. Juliet. From the entrance, there are a few tables in their bar area and to the right is their main dining area with a sushi bar and several tables. Each table has a bench seating on each side which is kind of odd for a sushi place. I felt like I was seated really far away from my boyfriend because the tables are wide as well. However, the restaurant is clean and the ambiance is nice. We ordered the following sushi rolls: -Spicy Tuna roll ($5.95)-I didn't try this one but my boyfriend was disappointed by this one because he said that he thought this roll had been premade, stuck in a refrigerator then pulled out again. He didn't finish this one. -Tiger Roll ($10.95)-My boyfriend ordered this one and said it kept falling apart on him making it difficult to eat. I tried a piece of this roll and it was okay but I agree that it did not stick together well. -Hot Night Roll ($11.95)-I ordered this roll which was definitely the best one. I was really happy with it and I loved the combination of the shrimp tempura, crabmeat and the spicy tuna on top. The sauce made it really good and it didn't need any soy sauce. Service was pretty spotty the whole night although the staff were nice when we asked for anything. We didn't have chopsticks or soy sauce bowls at our table and our server didn't seem to notice so my boyfriend ended up getting up to get the chopsticks so we could start eating when the food came. Towards the end of the evening (we were only there a little over an hour) our server disappeared completely and we never got an explanation that she was going on break or that someone else would be taking over our table. A different server cleared our plates and yet another server brought us our check. It felt disorderly and a bit confusing. Overall, I wanted to like Morimori more than I actually did. The service was lacking a bit and my boyfriend wasn't all that happy with his food. I'm hoping since this is a newer restaurant they get these kinks resolved as I would like to see this restaurant make improvements. If I did come back it would likely be to try a Korean food option. read more

The sushi here is good not great and every time we've ordered takeout it's never ready when they say it will be. Tonight I ordered 40 min in advance of the pickup time and my husband still had to wait over 30 minutes when he got there at the time I was told it would be ready. Morimori is Mt Juliet's first Korean option which is great. They also have a lot of sushi offerings as well. The restaurant used to be a more closed off Mexican restaurant, and they did well with the renovation opening it up by adding a sushi bar. For an app I ordered the tofu which has a tasty sauce. For my main meal I ordered the Korean ramen. It was pretty good. Not quite as authentic as a hole in the wall Korean restaurant in Antioch, but still pretty good. Most menu items are jazzed up to suit American tastes which is needed in the burbs. The wife ordered the beef bulgogi and liked it. That's usually the easiest pick for a new type of food. Overall Morimori exceeded suburban Korean/Sushi restaurant expectations for the suburbs of Tennessee. read more

Finally a good Korean place in Mount Juliet. My husband and I got to try this place on a date night and were pleasantly surprised by the food and the ambience and the drinks! Location: located near Publix in Providence and close to the movie theatre. Ambience : Quite nicely furnished with rustic farm tables and a nice sushi bar! They were playing Korean music projected on the wall which was nice. Drinks: The drink menu was quite fancy with exotic drinks, a good selection of local and international beers. They do have happy hours everyday! It is but one get one beer and $1 off wine and sake. I got the Tokyo Iced Tea which was very different yet tasty. Food: They do have Japanese, Korean food and Sushi! Loved their sushi rolls and they have a huge selection. We got the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, and Pork Bibimbap! Both were delicious! We also got the Sean's favorite roll which was amazing!! I will definitely be getting it again. Service: Service is fast and our waitress was very attentive. We tried this place on a Sunday after church on the advice of some friends. Upon our arrival, we were seated immediately but then told by the waitress to have patience because she was the only one working. What??? How does that happen? Where's the boss? There were 4 other tables being waited on, but our party of 4 decided to stay. Our orders were brought out one at a time. I assume because they were short staffed and they wanted the food to be served hot rather than wait on the other meals to get done. Regardless, the food was good. I ordered the smoked salmon. It could have been a little fresher, but it was ok. My other items were fine. Others in our party ordered the bento boxes and they liked them. It seemed other workers began to show up as we were eating. However, management has to do something about this issue if the business has any hope of success. Our waitress did a great job considering she had way too much to do by herself. There are too many restaurants in this area for a new place to mess up on a first visit. Being born and raised in Hawaii I love my sushi and sashimi, fresh fish is easy to get in Hawaii. In Tennessee for work and found morimori on yelp pix looked good, happy hour specials are nice. Fish is fresh and clean and TASTE AWSOME!!!!!! Yelp has a 10% off coupon I showed my waiter when I ordered but they "forgot" to take it off my bill. Went here on a double date, the boys got the chicken and my friend and i got sushi. we got the philadelphia roll, sweet crab roll, and tempura cali roll and all three were so so good. the chicken dinner though is not traditional in these types of restaurants, it was served fajita style without the tortillas and we weren't expecting that LOL but it was still good. Loved the atmosphere and decor immediately. Service was quick, courteous and professional. We played it semi safe and ordered the crunchy tuna, crunchy salmon and California roll for 16.99 along with a coup and salad. She even brought an extra soup and salad since we were sharing. We've been meaning to go back to this restaurant for a while now, and finally had the chance last night. Our first visit was a while back when they had just opened, and although you could see they had potential there was a lot to be worked out. The food was good, but timing is not so good. Entrees not arriving together and one sushi roll not coming ar all, it seemed to have gotten lost. It did eventually turn up after a remake, I want to know who ate the first one. The shashimi was nicely presented and tasted fresh, was cut evenly and just the right amount of each fish. The errant role, was tasty, but the way it was rolled left each piece a little big for the average mouth,not that I had a problem but I was sharing this one. I will go back for the shashimi and there were a few interesting looking rolls I need to check out. One minor gripe, the bench seats at some of the tables have bottom impressions carved out. I am not sure whose bottom they used as a model, butt it wasn't too comfy a fit, for my bony ass. read more

I ordered take out from MoriMori a couple of weeks ago. We tried the grilled teriyaki rice ball, steamed soft tofu, yellowtail & scallion roll, shiitake roll, and broccoli roll. Other than the broccoli roll (why have I never had tempura broccoli in a sushi roll before - and will I ever be ever to eat broccoli again if it's not tempura-fried?), nothing really stood out. The "grilled" teriyaki rice ball wasn't what I was expecting at all - it's a huge ball of rice that is deep-fried (hence my putting grilled in "") and sitting in a very sweet, sticky teriyaki sauce (I was picturing a more classic onigiri, somehow grilled, and with a touch of teriyaki); I wouldn't order it again. The steamed tofu wasn't great as take out (the sauce comes on the side), and it might be better if you eat it in (because then the tofu would have some time to sit in the sauce and get some flavor) - as take out, it was really bland. The yellowtail & scallion roll and the shiitake roll were both good - so the sushi was definitely the best part of the meal we ordered. Overall, the meal was good - but not great. Something I wouldn't mind eating again if I'm in the area - but I wouldn't go out of my way for it (except maybe for that broccoli roll - seriously). read more

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I'm going to just start listing the issues because otherwise this may become the longest review in Yelp history. Ordered hot sake - came room temperature like they poured it in the vessel and forgot to heat it, no sake cups were provided. We took my mom's iced tea straw and passed the "hot" sake around drinking it out of the straw. We asked for cups 3 separate times. No sake available on WHOLE menu (apparently we got the last of the hot sake available in our one order of a small vessel). I ordered a cold sake and was told they were out. I ordered a different cold sake and was told they were out. I asked, "okay can you tell me what you DO have?" And the waitress had no idea. So we asked for just another order of the hot sake. SHE SAID THEY WERE OUT. I then asked if they still had any sake cocktails available from their list and was told that they literally had zero sake at their sushi restaurant facility. I'm attaching a photo of their lengthy sake menu so you can see why this is just so absurd. No nigiri menu - I asked if they had this. The first waitress didn't know what nigiri was so I said "it's raw fish on top of rice" and tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. She said it was her second day and that she didn't eat sushi, so she's go ask. Another waitress came over and I asked for the same thing. She also didn't know what nigiri was and we asked if she eats sushi, and she said no. So 2 for 2, none of the employees at this sushi restaurant know what sushi is or have eaten it. Once the first part of our order arrived, there was no silverware or soy sauces dishes. We asked for these items and only got forks and chopsticks. I finally just got up and picked some soy sauce dishes off of another table. My mom ordered a soup and was still sitting there without a spoon, so we had to remind the waitress again. No check up to see how food was - not once. Missed an order of salmon, so we flagged the waitress over and she went back to place the order for the missed salmon. When the salmon finally came, it was lox (smoked salmon). We asked them to take it off of our check after I spit it out. They didn't, and instead tried to bring out more mystery salmon which we refused. The ONLY reason that I'm giving this place a 2-Star rating instead of 1-Star is because I've ordered delivery from them once and the food itself was really good... and the food tonight was good too. So at least they have that going for them... otherwise the service and customer experience at the sit down restaurant needs complete revision and improvement. read more

Wow! This place is a little hidden gem! Probably the best sushi I have had in my life. And I have had sushi all over the world. They have a great atmosphere woth a great bar selection but the food is hands down best in town for what they serve. You wouldn't think so from the outside of the old strip mall but walk inside and you'll be blown away. read more

Been here several times, and every time has been great. While most people seem to come here for the sushi, my wife and I visit for some of the best Korean food east of downtown Nashville, and close to home. The Korean ramen with seafood is my personal favorite as it warms the soul and is chock full of noodles, shrimp, clams, 2-3 dumplings, and vegetables. It's even better with an egg thrown in. Don't sit on your hands, Try It! The kimchi is amazing and makes a great appetizer, not to spicy or to sour. Looking for a cold item? The sashimi salad is another great option with a nice selection of seafood. Every time my wife and I have been here (all dinner service), the servers have been attentive and great with suggestions. Okay, now for a few minor cons: I wish they would bring back the K-pop tunes on the projector. They really are the cherry on top for the atmosphere and a unique addition that makes them stand out from other restaurants in the area. They really need a kid's menu, or at least kids potion of kid friendly dishes like tempura, fried rice, and ramen. With what they charge for sushi I wish they had some combos to pick from. Other than that, a great place and worth 4.5 stars. So be adventurous and try the Korean menu items. read more

This is a very clean and modern restaurant serving excellent Korean and Japanese food. I did not try the sushi; however, I can say that the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Bibimbab were delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. The vegetables were fresh and the rice was cooked perfectly. The flavors were spicy and well seasoned. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The décor is modern and cozy. They also have a few nice TV's by the sushi bar for viewing sports. Don't forget to try their excellent selection of Sake. read more

We devoured a California and Alaska role and took our waiter's recommendation to try the Heritage Roll which was had a really unique appearance and was rather yummy. Overall, the rolls were good sized and filling. Service was very personable but a little slow. Seating is a bit odd, but they were playing football which was a nice touch! This is definitely one of the worst regulated places I've seen. Gentlemen who seemed to be the manager went from smoking right outside the door to inside walking patrons with or without mask to tables. The patron he was smoking in front of the door with, walked in without a mask rubbing his belly under his shirt and then shook a sushi chefs' hand. Then there was a "hostess" who did not wear a mask at all. Our waiter, who said he'd been a waiter for three months there was just awful. He did not know a single sushi roll I asked him about nor about the yakisoba. How does staff not get trained on a menu? How are menus not cleaned and torn/falling apart between laminate and paper pages? I guess giving us a table in the middle in front of the door facing the door and sushi bar was not the best for the restaurant! The sushi roll which is very simple and usually at most Japanese restaurants wrapped in cucumber had minced tuna instead of tuna chunks and something mixed in it. It was not a pleasant taste at all. The yakisoba was so sweet. It literally tasted like a dessert and not a main dish. I was so excited to try this place and it turned out to be the worst Japanese place I've tried in the Nashville area. Too bad.... read more
