5 stars down to 2 stars with new owner. Bagels are no longer boiled and baked, and now are just baked. Which means they are no longer soft and chewy, but taste like Italian bread. Prices have gone way UP, plus they added a tip jar. Used to have very nice napkins, and now they have cheap thin dinner style napkins. Not going back anymore. read more

Dirty food prep and cross contamination. So the bagels are delicious. But don't be surprised if you get sick or COVID. The owner takes the money and credit cards then proceeds to clean off the knives and preparation area with his dirty hands. No gloves. Not once did he wash his hands in the sink next to the prep station. I watched him make multiple cream cheese bagels for people without washing his hands or gloves. Then went back to the dirty register ringing people up, taking money making change and taking credit cards. I said something to him after he rung me up and responded with that doesn't make sense. It's called "Safe Food Preparation." I would like to come here because the bagels are delicious but not worth getting sick over. read more

Bottom Line: they boil their bagel like a bagel is supposed to be! When I visit my brother we come here almost everyday (he pretty much comes here everyday all year ;-). I've had a bacon, egg and cheeses on a bagel and it's good. But mostly I just get buttered or cream cheese bagels. These bagels are chewy the way a bagel is supposed to be (because they are boiled!). They put plenty of toppings on the specialty bagels. My favorite is the Everything Bagel. They are always fresh. Funny side note - when I first moved to Florida and I would order a bagel someplace and they would ask me if I wanted it toasted - I would look at them surprised and say "Why? Is it stale?!?!" The people behind the counter are efficient and know how to hustle the morning crowds in and out. Their coffee is kind of weak and I wish they had bialys - but other than that - I come for the bagels and I'm always happy with what I get. Bottom Line: I wish I could get one airmailed everyday - even if I had to toast it it would be better than any bagel I can get locally! read more

Worst deli experience so far. Asked for the birthday cake smoothie without the birthday cake protein powder (due to an allergy to anything dairy), and was asked if I was sure I wanted that. I was sure, and was told they could do it without. Received my shake with protein powder in it regardless. They brought out the manager when I simply asked if there was protein powder in my drink and was told that it's the only way they make it because that's how it is, in a very rude manner. I journeyed on Sunday morning with one mission: to find a decent New York bagel. I found it here at Bagel Deli. Their bagels were so hot that the guy filling my bag with 12 delicious bagels could barely hold them for even a few seconds. Jackpot. Along with being a full service deli, including newspapers, meats and other deli offerings, Bagel Deli also had a variety of different flavored cream cheeses - including bacon and olives. This is why I miss living in New York. My only gripe is that they didn't automatically put the everything bagels in a separate bag than the rest of the bagels....but then a gain, I didn't ask them to. read more

Worst deli experience. They have six young people working and everyone was confused about what menu items were available. After substituting about half the items I ordered (all of which should be avail at any deli) they still messed up the entire order. The girl was very nice and even wrote the order down. Not sure how they're in business at all. Need supervision and experience. Driving further to another place from now on. read more

I was in a rush so I handed them cash and didn't count my change until I left- but the kid who made my sandwich apparently doubled the price of my whole order instead of doubling the price for my two coffees. Additionally one person is apparently responsible for making your entire order, even though there's about 6 other counter workers just standing around staring into space. The result? Your order takes infinitely longer than you should have to wait for two simple cold cut sandwiches. After all this, my turkey sandwich had literally FOUR slices of meat on it. The rest was 95% lettuce. Save your money and go LITERALLY anywhere else for a better experience and better sandwich. This place needs an experienced manager asap. read more

For decades I just dealt with the fact that the service is mediocre as it is considered a "main street staple" and is the most local place to eat, but a recent experience has led me to realize that they've doubled down their blatant disregard for the customer. After a series of wrong orders (I'm talking every. single. time.) and dramatically overpriced items, I went in to ask for an everything bagel cut horizontally - thats it. No butter, no eggs, just cut horizontally. You know, the most simple thing you could ask for. It wasn't a busy time of day mind you, just me and some people already eating. The kid cut *just the top* of the bagel, so that there was a thin sheet of seasoning and then just a whole, unseasoned bagel. I shit you not, they screwed up CUTTING A BAGEL. HOW. HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP?! How do you not go "wow this is a new low during my tenure here, surely I will get the customer another, more reasonably sliced bagel as this is the ONLY thing they ordered, and plus this is just a preposterous thing to hand somebody." I had to get home to find this out, and I'm not gonna lie this was the last straw. I can't begin to describe to you the swell of rage that came over me when I realized what I had unwrapped. I've had whole sandwiches not included in orders and I've looked past it and just went back and asked for the sandwich I paid for. I've had entire orders where every persons' sandwich had something missing, and I said "ah well must've been busy." I've paid more than $7 for an egg sandwich. But this? You can't cut the bagel? Why? What did the people of this town do to you that you so cantankerously treat them like a frothing pack of wild animals and not the patrons who feed you an unending supply of stupid money? Or better yet, you can't FIND someone who can cut a bagel and pay them enough to do it correctly? You had to get 2002 Michael Cera to shear off THE BEST PART OF THE BAGEL like a flavor-concentrated sheet of papyrus because he's being paid in nickels and doesn't understand how a knife works? There's no one around to go "I can't believe you think that would be in any way acceptable, you're fired forever."? How about one of those little bagel slicers you buy at wall mart for like $2.50? You don't think that would be a good investment as long as three toddlers in an overcoat pretending to be an adult are working for you? BE BETTER. read more

Every time I come in to this place I want it to be a good experience, but most of the time it's not. Run by a bunch of super unfriendly high school kids, the wait time is ridiculous for a couple of bagels, and they've gotten my very simple orders wrong multiple times. Like how hard is it to remember to put bacon on my bagel!?! This has happened at least 4-5 times. The bagel sandwiches taste good, if they don't mess up your order first. I rarely give bad reviews because I like to give places the benefit of the doubt, but when this happens every single time, things have to be said for them to understand what they're doing wrong. I stop here every once and awhile because of family nearby and am always so happy when I do. They are fast, know what they are doing, and the quality is great. Bagels are what you should expect from a NY deli (fresh, doughy and tasty) and the prepared foods have always been fresh. They do AWESOME breakfast sandwiches, and also have some baked goods brought in, but I haven't tried those...yet. read more

Awesome bagels/rolls! If you are from the area you know everyone that lives in our small town.. I like to mix it up, usually Mondays I get a cinnamon raisin with butter, hump day is a poppy with cream cheese, and I save the best for last on Fridays with a BEC! (Bacon egg & cheese). The weekends everyone usually comes in around 8am-10am for a dozen bagels and they sometimes run out of the favorites (cinnamon raisin, poppy, sesame, onion). The staff is always fast and friendly. They recently just accepting credit/debit cards but yelp hasn't updated the store info yet! read more

My lunch came with a side of disappointment. The staff were rushy, later confirmed by the almost raw, un separated slices of bacon. It looked like they just took a chunk of slices and cooked the whole stack together for 60 seconds. My boyfriend's sandwich was slapped together with no sauce, that was described on the menu. $6.25 for a bacon egg and cheese?!?! We placed an order for 3 bacon egg and cheese at 9:27 right before 10 we go to pick up the order and immediately we were told that we ordered from the wrong Deli. My family and I have lived in this town for six Generations we fully understand which deli were ordering from but just to double-check that we didn't make a mistake we did Google and then call back and return to the location to understand why we were not provided with the breakfast that we paid for it. I called the deli to speak to the supervisor / manager Carmen who rudely decided to tell me that mistakes happen all the time there and that I called the wrong Deli even after explaining to her that I understood which deli I called and that we had to wait for our three sandwiches to be made all over again when we were not giving coffee juice or hash browns or any of the extra stuff that Carmen claims comes with a breakfast sandwich which they charge 625 for. These people are rude they consistently mess up orders they've got untrained people working behind the counter I've never spoken to such a rude more unprofessional person such as Carmen the supervisor ever in my life if I can give these people zero Stars I would. will not be returning would not suggest anybody to go there. read more

Best place in C-Mo to get a bagel! There's usually a line but it moves really quick and is worth it for the high quality bagels.

I am not one to complain about price, EVER.. but i went here and got 4 sandwiches, 3 iced teas and a small container of quinoa and was charged $63! Which i wasn't even upset over until i got home and found that 2 of the sandwiches were just plain deli meet on un-toasted white bread, and the wrap i had purchased was made with gross fatty dark meat chicken that i would only ever serve to a dog. Being that it took them 30 minutes to make us these sandwiches i expected much more. I will never go back to this deli and i will be sure to let everyone know of my terrible experience with them. read more

I have always gone to this bagel deli and am usually very satisfied with my order but it appears as though some of the new staff simply lack regard for their job. My order came out incomplete and incorrect. I said something to the young girl who rung me up as I suspected that part of it was missing and she did not check to make sure my order was complete, which I should have done myself, and she also overcharged me clearly not knowing the menu or caring to check. I won't lie, the food at this deli is awesome. The bagels and the egg sandwiches are the best around, but the service is absolutely terrible. Orders are almost always messed up and the owner is extremely rude. They had us waiting for over an hour for our egg sandwiches one day, only to finally get them and they're completely wrong and cold. The owner then refused to speak with us about it. I used to hit this deli almost every day for two years but I haven't gone back since. Service is more important to me than their food. read more
