Although I have treats at home, I was craving donuts this Valentines Day and this spot was the only spot in the area that a) remained open after my fosters vet appt and b) was seemingly locally-owned offering breakfast tacos, donuts, and coffee via drive-thru (dog transport life). So, I pulled up to the little window, attached to the gas station and gave them a shot. I ordered a Cortado, and two breakfast tacos. The shop closes at 2:30pm, so when I arrived around 12 noon they were complete out of donuts apart from donut holes. They were also out of all of the breakfast tacos apart from the two bacon, egg, and cheese tacos mentioned above. I was a bit surprised and concerned when asked if I would prefer a 12 or 16oz Cortado, but I kept it pushing. While the Cortado was non traditional, it was a welcomed variation, stronger than a latte but far sweeter compared to a flat white or more traditional Cortado. It was moreso a drink of its own. The breakfast tacos were a gift to my husband. He didn't give them great reviews but we figured 1. They'd been sitting for a while before we ever received them and 2. I had to make a few unplanned stops along the way back, which didn't really give them a fair shot. He'll have to try them another day, and if we choose to return we'll definitely plan to do so i the morning to try the item they're named for-donuts! read more

Kolaches are light and fluffy, as well as the donuts. Owners were very attentive and nice.

I use to love this place. I have been coming here for 5 years. Today they sold me expired orange juice. I said something to the lady when she handed it to me and she said no no, it's Dec 29, not Oct 29. Well it's clearly labeled OCT 29. Sold on 11/11/24. Stuff like this gives me the ick. If they sold me expired orange juice, I wonder what else is expired that they are selling to people. I couldn't even finish the food I was grossed out. read more

I happen upon this place one morning & I'm glad I gave them a try. The donuts were airy & fluffy. I had the glaze donuts. I also had sausage kolaches. Their donut holes will put a smile on for those non-morning people (which includes me). On this particular morning (when it was also my day off), I had to wake up bright and early and I found myself extremely hungry as well. Sleepy and hungry, what a double whammy. But I was so happy Morning Donut Cafe has a drive-thru because there was nothing better for me on this morning (well, maybe breakfast in bed or sleeping in) than ordering food from the comfort of your own car. Besides their delicious donut holes, I also ordered a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant. Though I finished it, I don't think I will order it again because the croissant wasn't my definition of a croissant. I wanted it to be more flaky and more buttery (call me Anna Deen). The very 1st time I ate here I had the mini kolaches, glazed donuts and a boudin kolache. It was pretty good that I wanted to go a 2nd time. The 2nd time glazed donuts wasn't ready and there were no mini kolaches yet. So we got sausage with bacon and boudin kolaches. I didn't enjoy the bacon and wished I had got a plain sausage kolache. Have to update my previous review. I've given this place multiple tries and I just have one thing to say: if I buy a sausage and jalapeño kolache, I expect there to be at least one jalapeño slice inside and some spicy heat to it. There were no jalapeños inside at all. Kolaches Factory is much better, they have a lot of jalapeños in their sausage and jalapeño kolaches. Sad that this place went downhill this much. read more

I compared the donuts to Shipley's and let me tell you, Morning Donuts Cafe were 10 time better in taste, texture and fluffy Size!! The only way I could describe Shipley's donuts were as too grease, chewy, flat, and too sugary. I ran in to grab a coffee during a gas stop and was greeted promptly. There were a lot of pastry options, but I just wanted coffee. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was super sweet. I went a few weeks ago and purchased a kolache with bacon and I wanted to go back and slap the owner because it was sooo good. But not only was the food good the hospitality the owner showed was beautiful. I went back today and I received the same service and so did the customer before me! In a conversation with her he offered her husband a free donut for how beautiful his wife looked the customer went to her car and asked her husband to come in and the owner kept his word!!! I'm in town visiting and I decided to try this place out. Given the name, I though it was a good place for donuts but this was not the case, luckily the crowd I bought for wanted kolache's. I bought about $24 worth of Kolache's and a donut twist. I got 2 boudain kolache's, 2 jalapeño bacon kolache's and 4 regular kolache's. We enjoyed the boudain Kolache the most, best we've ever had! My sister said the jalapeño bacon was a winner as well! However I was very disappointed in the donut. I went to go break a piece off my twist and I could not. The donut was so tough and stale! I finally did break a piece off and the taste was just as bad as the texture. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to check out this new breakfast place since they opened, and this morning we had the opportunity. I can't give this place enough praise. The breakfast sandwich biscuits we had were very tasty, and the apple fitter and the donut twist we got to go with them were over the top good.
