We enjoy this place for when we want a nice breakfast outside where our kids can be kids without judgement. We recently went on a Saturday morning as a group of 4 adults and 2 kids around 9:30am and the wait ended up being around 30min to order and then about 20 minutes for the food. we ordered breakfast tacos, montecristo, standard breakfast, and my specific order was the Japanese sweet potato with brisket and wow I felt that mine was the best meal in terms of uniqueness, flavor, and very filling. Also, the orange juice is some of the best I've had around! What I also enjoy about this spot is that before/after you enjoy a nice meal at one of their picnic tables you are free to walk about and enjoy their nice property with some yard games, grassy areas, the chicken coops, and even a little store for some cute goodies to take home.

Would not recommend for breakfast. The coffee options are minimal and only to be flavored with sugar packets. We ordered the chilaquiles and they were basically the store bought chips you get for the table and an egg on top. As soon as we got it, I knew I had ordered the wrong thing. Not sure if there are better items on the menu but the other item my date ordered was also mid. The best thing about it was probably the orange juice.

Such a cute spot in South Phoenix. This place is a casual outdoor farm-to-table brunch place located at The Farm at South Mountain. You order at the counter and seat yourself at a picnic table. I ordered the smoked salmon omelet, but next time I'll be getting the brisket because I tasted some and it was delish. The line was kinda long on the weekend but you can definitely spend a while here just eating and exploring parts of the farm like the gift shop and chicken coops. Good for groups when the weather is nice.

Located at the foothills of south mountain this is your go to place for a farm to table experience. Morning glory is located inside the farm and this place is exclusively for breakfast. The farm is huge and such a fun place for family and friends. There is ample parking space as well! We went around noon and ordered farm burrito, French toast, waffle and freshly squeezed orange juice. The juice was very refreshing and was fantastic. The food is great as well, loved the burrito and the fresh toast, great flavors, warm and perfect. Waffle wasn't the best felt it was over done. The pricing is a little expensive specially a glass of juice is $7, but can't complain on the taste. The service is quick and organized Everything was great and loved the whole vibe.

This is a the breakfast only spot that's in The Farm, a 10 acre event venue in South Mountain that hosts weddings as well as other events. The Farm also includes some Chickens and turkeys to look at as well as some veggies growing. Anyway, back to the Morning Glory Cafe, it's a popular breakfast spot as it's both Family Friendly as well as dog friendly. Seating is all outdoors picnic table style, but they also have large umbrellas you can activate for some shade. Food-wise, you line up and order/pay first while they make it, the they call your number to pick it up when it's ready. Food is decent, they have many choices. My favorites are chicken enchiladas as well as a salmon omelette. They focus on farm-to-table or at least their image, is of that, so don't be expecting some usual breakfast fare. Fresh squeezed OJ also featured but for a hefty $7 a cup. Also Coffee is drip coffee, there is no espresso machine. Overall, it's a great place if you go once every one or two months as a good change of pace from normal restaurants. I wouldn't go here more than that as some of the outdoor dining novelty may wear off.

Came here for breakfast to celebrate my niece's birthday a few weeks ago. What a beautiful setting. Having a meal surrounded by trees, flowers, and so much greenery was very nice. Service was not the best, it was a Saturday, but it took us at least 25 minutes just to get our drinks. Then about another 25 just to get our food. The food was already semi cold. I ordered the chilaquiles, which were honestly pretty bland and had no spice. I will say, I had the best fresh squeezed orange juice I've ever had in my life! It's 7 dollars for a pretty small cup, but I will say that was worth it taste wise. I will be coming back to give it another shot because I did love the ambiance. Hopefully it was just an off day.

I think people come here for the location :) The orange juice is amazing and the loaded Japanese sweet potato is unique but everything else is kind of lackluster. We did yoga then headed over for brunch afterwards. The line was non-existent when yoga started and I was watching hoards of people walking over I started having FOMO during class!! When we finished class, the line was probably 15-20 people long. After we finished eating, there must have been 50+ people in line!! It is a destination and cute farm. Love that there are so many outdoor tables.

My all time favorite brunch restaurant. I go every year during the winter to take advantage of the great Arizona weather. The Japanese sweet potato is usually my go-to order. The smoked salmon is also tasty.

The cutest cafe in the cutest location! We were in town for work and found this breakfast place on Yelp so we decided to pay a visit before exploring the area. It's located on a beautiful spacious farm with another eatery and small local shops. Service was friendly and pretty fast considering all food is made to order. I ordered the salmon omelette and only needed just a tad of salt and pepper, but still enjoyable. Definitely recommend to those looking for a picturesque breakfast/brunch place on a good weather day!

Breakfast of the year 2024. It truly can't get more farm-to-table then the Morning Glory Cafe. Ingredients are sourced by the farm on the property. Outdoor seating is plentiful and perfect for a weekend brunch. I ordered the cauliflower hash. Oh my. It was incredibly fresh and delicious. Everyone in my group loved their 'meal. And bonus that they serve press coffee.

5 refreshing drinks after a hike

We visited after a hike. Refreshing drinks among other things hit the spot. The place is little on the tiny side for us but otherwise a good experience. The wait server allowed us to snap a pic of our large drink order request. I would visit again.

This was the cutest place I've been in a while. Definitely loved the farm to table and how boldly is was in our face. The service was amazing and the ambiance is totally a vibe. We ordered the sweet potato with brisket which was absolutely yummy! The meat was so tender and full of flavor. I would love to go back and eat at the other restaurant on the property!

Can I walk around the farm after eating? Is there live music?

The farm is open and large. Eat outside at the picnic areas and even hold your wedding. They have chickens, turkeys, and ducks. Flowers and crops. Enjoy.

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

Yes! I brought my leashed dog and they even offered my dog a water bowl :)

Is seating Only outside? If yes are there heaters?

Hi James, Morning Glory Cafe is outside seating only. There are heaters when the weather becomes cooler.

Our visit started out poorly because we spent 30 minutes driving around looking for a place to park. The front desk sent us to a valet that didn't exist and we almost left. My husband got a cocktail. I wanted to order a mocktail but they didn't have a mocktail menu or any non alcoholic drinks anywhere. The waiter tried to describe them but that didn't work. Please get a menu. Ended up with lemonade bc I didn't know what to order. We ordered the tuna ceviche appetizer with plantain chips. I don't normally order things with chips but It was delicious! Great spicy kick and definitely the best thing I ate. Loved it. For dinner I ordered the lamb. I also really enjoyed this so much. The lamb was delicious (a bit unseasoned though). Also the garbanzo dish that came with it was unbelievably great! I was actually amazed that a side could be so good and I just wanted more of it. My husband ordered the seabass. Unfortunately it was underseasoned and way overcooked. The side wasn't great either. He ended up eating one of my lamb pieces. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Will return if I ever want to brave the parking situation again ! Side note for the business: the door on your last bathroom stall was installed backwards. I struggled inside bc there was no hook for my purse or sweater when I went in there. After I was done precariously balancing all my things on my lap, I found the hook outside the door (I checked and the other doors were installed correctly). Probably should fix that bc it was very annoying for women that need access to their purse in the bathroom.

We arrived in time for sunset, and it did not disappoint. Watching the sunset over the Phoenix skyline made for a beautiful evening, and the restaurant itself has a unique atmosphere. We had a 7:30 reservation and were checked in right on time, we were seated outside, but there was very little shade, and unfortunately it was a hot, humid, and windy evening, so it wasn't the most comfortable dining experience. Our server, Sergio, was friendly, but we had to ask several times for water refills. One of the highlights before the meal was the complimentary bread service. The bread and butter were delicious, and the staff member who brought it out took the time to explain each item on the board which was a nice touch. The food was good. The 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly and was the highlight of the meal, tender, flavorful, and worth ordering. We had enjoyed the desserts. The chocolate mousse was rich and creamy, and the Pavlova was light, fresh, and beautifully presented with berries. That said, the outdoor seating wasn't quite as relaxing as we expected. It was pretty windy the evening we visited, which made dining outside a little uncomfortable. The resort Pool is directly below the patio, and there happened to be a party going on, so there was quite a bit of noise. The restaurant also overlooks the freeway. Traffic wasn't heavy during our visit, but I imagine the road noise and air quality could be more noticeable during busier times. Overall, if you are looking for a scenic dinner with a memorable sunset, top of the rock is worth visiting. Just be prepared for the weather if you sit outside and know that the ambiance can depend on what's happening around the resort. The steak alone is reason enough to come back.

My girlfriend loved the views, but if I'm being honest, I was a bit underwhelmed. I'm from San Diego and I've seen far better. A view overlooking the freeway just isn't all that impressive to me personally. Still, I've passed this place on the freeway so many times and always wondered about it, so it felt special to finally check it off the list. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and I'll say the host that greeted us was a bit rude. We waited a few minutes before he took us back to our table. I will say there's an odd smell when you first walked in and I'm grateful that we sat outside. Once we sat down though, our waitress was attentive the entire night. We started with the charcuterie board, which honestly felt a little basic to me. The smoked Gouda was fine, but I would've preferred something sharper like an aged Gouda, and a more thoughtfully curated spread overall. The meats were okay, nothing that really stood out. On the drinks side, I tried two. The berry limeade was absolutely delicious, highly recommend that one! The traditional margarita though? Not it. Way too sweet for my taste. I don't think most Americans really know what a true margarita is supposed to be. I was hoping for something less sweet and more authentic. It is what it is, I drank it anyway (more because of the price than anything). But the entrées? Spot on. My girlfriend got the Miso Glazed Sea Bass served over potato purée with asparagus and a citrus beurre blanc. She said it was delicious. I had the Seasonal Ravioli with grana padano, white truffle oil, and added wild mushrooms on top. Incredible flavor, did not disappoint. I will say though, the ravioli plating wasn't all that appetizing. The sauce color came off bland and boring, and a little garnish like some micro greens on top could've gone a long way to elevate it. For a place like this (and the price), I expect the plating to be just as on point as the flavor. I'd say the same for the table setting, lighting and cleanliness of the table, I'd really rate that C level. Our waitress surprised us with complimentary champagne for the birthday, which was such a sweet touch. No clue what it was, but it was so good she ordered a second glass. They also brought us a small dessert that said Happy 40th Birthday for my girlfriend, which was really thoughtful. And the sunset? That part was genuinely beautiful. We got some great photos. All in all, a decent experience overall. It's pricey, and not somewhere I'd rush back to, but for a special occasion every now and then? Worth it to my GF and that's all that matters at the end of the day because it was her birthday celebration.

It was good and tasty. Just enough to get me through the day without feeling to heavy. I like this location. It isn't nearly as busy as their downtown Gilbert location so no complaints from me.

This place was SO fun for me and my ladies. We went here for my birthday and it was so fun. I made…read morea reservation on open table which I HIGHLY recommend. We had a party of 10 and it was so fun. We all had drinks a some people ordered food. Due to party size there was auto gratuity and only 4 cards max. The bar is in the basement of the hotel. When we got there though it wasnt very clear that it was there. We got there a little early but the accommodated us nicely. Originally there was going to be 9 people but I asked day of event if I could bring another person and they said yes. The drinks were so good. Th divine feminine tasted like Jamaica drink with the hibiscus. Then I had the happy birthday Mr. President. Oh. My. God. It didn't even taste like alcohol it tasted like vanilla ice cream I'm so serious. It was delicious. Then I had the siren drink. That one wasn't bad at all. We all had a great time and shared laughs and everything. I love the setting of it though. It's a bit dark so we had to use phone lights to see the menu. But it feels like stepping into a whole new world once you enter. I think it's perfect for hanging out. Date night. Anniversary dinner. All of it. Our server was nice. Very friendly. I think he could use a little more on his hospitality just because sometimes I feel like he didn't know what to say exactly. A little disappointed that there wasn't really anything special for a birthday though. Not even a little card on the table that said happy birthday. Just a thought. Other fine dining establishments I've been in did.

Rough Rider has been through some changes that I find disappointing. When we were seated, I asked…read moreour server if they still have happy hour and he said he wasn't sure if we were still within the happy hour window - it was 3:30 PM. He then confirmed we were still within the happy hour window and offered to bring us a menu. They used to have an extensive happy hour menu featuring several drinks and food items and now their "happy hour menu" consists of a cheeseburger for $22. Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries. I really wasn't impressed by the quality of the food, the portion size, the price, or the service. Unfortunately, I'll be taking Rough Rider off my list of regular places i frequent and restaurants I recommend to others.
