Good day to you Yelpers! Now, if you want breakfast or a delicious lunch!!! This is the for sure spot to dine at. Great customer service. Great food and great place. Seating is a little tight but made it work... loved the bar set up. This is a for sure spot to check out and I will definitely be back! You must try those margaritas. Thank you 5th Ave!!!

This cozy restaurant/bar has decent breakfast fare. I enjoyed having the three french toast breakfast with eggs bacon and fruit. The service was decent and I had the coffee refilled. Overall decent place for a quick breakfast.

Pot roast sandwich was good. Sorry--I ate all my onion rings before I took a picture.

Came to this cafe, which is directly across the street from St. Joseph's hospital, to grab lunch. The parking lot in front is tight, but there is a sign saying there is more parking in the back. It's a cute little mom and pop place with a couple of tables for larger groups, and a couple of rows of booths. You can also sit at the counter. They have paintings by local artists that you can purchase, and a little shop (kind of just a big alcove) off to the side with some cute clothes, shoes, and purses. There is a jazz theme, with a collection of musical instruments used as decor. The people who work there were very nice. I did not order ahead, but it took less than 10 minutes to get my lunch. I ordered the pot roast sandwich with onion rings. By the time I got back to the hospital with my lunch, everything was kind of room temperature, but still good. The onion rings were breaded in the crumb kind of breading, rather than the tempura-style batter. They were good. My sandwich was huge--a hoagie roll with shredded beef in brown beef gravy, with lettuce and tomato on the side. It was also good, and enough food to carry over into dinner. Overall it was a pretty good lunch. It is a decent option if you need to be at St Joseph's and just can't have one more hospital cafeteria meal.

This was a super cute hole-in-the-wall diner and I really wanted to like it. The jazz music and cozy interior was really welcoming, and there was ample seating when we went on a Friday at 9AM. However, that's about as much allure as this place has to it. We were directed to sit wherever we wanted, so we picked one of many open, clean booths. It took maybe 10 minutes for us to even get a menu and initial drink order in (including for just water). We ordered: top of the morning omelette w/ sourdough and crispy hashbrowns, a smaller portion w/ chicken and eggs sunny side up, an avocado toast (special), and a caramel coffee latte. Listen. I get that we are in the desert--I really do!--but why was the food here SO DRY?!? The bread for the toast was clearly dry, and it tasted nothing like sourdough. My omelette was dry. The chicken filet my friend had looked like chicken jerky. And of all the things avocado toast can be...the one at 5th Avenue Cafe ended up being bland and underwhelming. If only we had a solid latte to wash down the disappointment. Unfortunately, the latte took 40 minutes to arrive at our table, and it wasn't until we were done eating. As I write this, we finally received our check. We have been done eating for 20 minutes now. In total, we have been stuck in this cafe for about 90 minutes. 2 stars for the cutesy decor and warm vibes--it's an okay spot if you have all day to waste away in a cafe, and if you are eating just to eat (not for enjoyment).

It's advertised as Biscuits and Gravy.

The environment is great. Clean and inviting. Unfortunately the Biscuits and gravy are scary bad. You can make your own by purchasing a bag of precooked Biscuits from a gas station and a packet of gravy mix, then take the gravy packet to the restroom and mix a little warm tap water in.

Started by opening my bag to find a dirty napkin, yuck. Asked for cheese and onion in my eggs, got them dry. Small portion. Then I asked for salt and she wouldn't give me anymore than when came in the utensils, small thing but the bland food could've used it. Also updated menu upload as the prices are definitely higher than the old ones that have been previously posted.

Had some out of town family staying nearby this place and wanted to get together for breakfast before they left, so we picked this place as it had decent reviews..... Fun atmosphere, VERY good service and the Food was too! I had the special, Chorizo Crepes, something that you would not normally think of doing, but it was excellent. And the 'regular fare' did not disappoint either. They even has raisin bread, which I had not had in a LONG time!! Stop by if you are anywhere near here!!!

Super cute cafe/diner. The staff is always so incredibly welcoming and attentive. They have tasty breakfast eats and an amazing menu for lunch and dinner. Its a neighborhood staple

Fairly good sized place that appeared clean. Upon entering, i was immediately greeted by the staff. It was still early (only 1/2 hour after opening for the day) so the place was not packed, but did start to fill up after about 8:30 AM. Our waitress was fairly attentive and took our orders. I opted for the vegetable omelet w/cottage cheese as my side and sourdough toast. They food was prepared fairly quickly. It was a good size portion and judging by my other friends' plates, you won't go away hungry. Generally, the staff is friendly and courteous.

Came in for the first time today to meet a new colleague for food. There's ample parking in back. It's a quaint restaurant & the music playing in the background is relaxing. Kind of like a low key soundtrack for life. LOL. I was able to grab a booth & then waited for my colleague & her hubby to join me. I ordered chicken chilaquiles with an extra egg since it "only" comes with 2. My dining companions ordered the French toast & a burrito of some sort. I forgot which one. It seemed like ages for our food to come. Like seriously, a long time for our food. I don't know if it was my food or theirs but it did seem as though a few people who were seated after us got their food before us. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was a while, I know for sure. The food arrived & it took a few times for the syrup to be requested for it to be delivered. Seemed odd since it's a standard French toast & the syrup should have come out before or at the same time. I won't speak to their food beyond the syrup because I forget to ask but I can speak to what I ordered. The eggs were scrambled a bit harder than I would have liked. Their wasn't as much cheese as I had hoped. Those things aside the verde sauce was good, a little baby kick but good. I did enjoy this dish & would come back & order it again. I'd probably be mindful & ask for the eggs to be cooked a little less hard & more cheese. I would say go on down & check it out.

Jazz motif still strong, spund systew upgraded, music more contemporary, food and prices good indeed.

I started with a blueberry mule mocktail and it was perfection and then I had the small side salad made with carrots, cucumbers, and spring mix and lemon vinaigrette, and it was my favorite I've ever had and then I finished with the Bolognese that has a cream sauce that is to die for. Best Bolognese in town in my opinion. The staff was more than accommodating. I showed up in my work attire, definitely not dressed for this restaurant and from the hostess all the way to my server and bartender and everyone treated me with the upmost respect. They moved me to a better table, and for the inconvenience gave me another mocktail. This is absolutely my favorite absolutely 100% amazing. The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.

Came here with my family after my graduation from ASU! Such a cute place to definitely check out. I…read morelike how dark it is inside, it feels very intimate. My family and I ordered family style so we can try everything. For starters, we ordered the milk bread, fire roasted bone marrow, spicy peanut and tomato salad, and the tuna pineapple ceviche. I might say this multiple times in my review, but the food was very delicious and the description of the food was very interesting however it all blended so good in my mouth. The milk bread was topped with a miso tomato butter with almond and kalamata. Sounds interesting right? But when you actually tasted it, it was delicious! Who knew to bring such ingredients together to make this?! The softness of the bread and the saltiness from the butter complimented it so well! The fire roasted bone marrow was served with sourdough toast with a jalapeno marmalade with demi sauce. I never had bone marrow, however I met people who either liked it or choose not to try it, but this time I decided to try it. Who knew how soft and buttery bone marrow was?! The spicy peanut and tomato salad was very refreshing, however I wished it was a little bigger in size. The dressing was a peanut dressing, similar to a thai peanut dressing salad. The tuna pineapple ceviche had pineapple with tuna served with plantain chips. It was hot in Arizona and this dish kept it very refreshing to eat. For entrees, my family and I ordered the lemongrass half chicken, campfire seabass, ancho chili glazed pork chop, and the bone in ribeye. The lemon grass chicken was served with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with jalapeno jam. The chicken was so juicy and you can taste the lemon grass marinated in the chicken. Again, jalapeno jam? What a genius! The campfire seabass was in this chorizo broth along with couscous and vegetables. I honestly can not review much regarding the campfire seabass because I didn't taste, but per my grandma she said it was really good haha! The ancho chili glazed pork chop was surprisingly not dry! I don't really eat pork chops, but our server recommended it and she did not disappoint! The bone in ribeye was delicious!! Super juicy and flavorful! It was served with baby potatoes, arugula, and chimichurri. Filthy animal is definitely a fun spot, the decor inside made the whole ambiance very intimate.

Our visit started out poorly because we spent 30 minutes driving around looking for a place to park. The front desk sent us to a valet that didn't exist and we almost left. My husband persisted and we finally found a spot. But it took way too long driving around in circles. After that drama, We had a pretty fast dinner but I really enjoyed it. First drinks. My husband got a cocktail. I wanted to order a mocktail but they didn't have a mocktail menu or any non alcoholic drinks anywhere. The waiter tried to describe them but that didn't work. Please get a menu. Ended up with lemonade bc I didn't know what to order. We ordered the tuna ceviche appetizer with plantain chips. I don't normally order things with chips but It was delicious! Great spicy kick and definitely the best thing I ate. Loved it. For dinner I ordered the lamb. I also really enjoyed this so much. The lamb was delicious (a bit unseasoned though). Also the garbanzo dish that came with it was unbelievably great! I was actually amazed that a side could be so good and I just wanted more of it. My husband ordered the seabass. Unfortunately it was underseasoned and way overcooked. The side wasn't great either. He ended up eating one of my lamb pieces. The vibe of the restaurant was great and the waiter was helpful and friendly. Will return if I ever want to brave the parking situation again ! Side note for the business: the door on your last bathroom stall was installed backwards. I struggled inside bc there was no hook for my purse or sweater when I went in there. After I was done precariously balancing all my things on my lap, I found the hook outside the door (I checked and the other doors were installed correctly). Probably should fix that bc it was very annoying for women that need access to their purse in the bathroom.

Not sure that that really constitutes as a happy hour menu... I asked him why they changed the menu and he put up his hands as if to say he's not to blame and said he doesn't have anything to do with those decisions. He said that "management decided to make a few substitutions but they're pretty good" and didn't provide any further elaboration. I ordered the appetizer lamb lollipops which had four small pieces for $25. My friend decided to try the "happy hour" cheeseburger and he said it was good but it did appear a bit overpriced for an average burger with a pretty hefty serving of french fries.
