Not sure what happened to this place, used to be great. Was surprised how few vehicles were in the parking lot at 9am on a Saturday. Portions are incredibly small, and prices are outrageous. $16 for a skillet breakfast that was barely bigger than tea cup saucer. Ingredients were diced down to the size of dried sushi rice. $14 for an omelette. To top it off, now they're adding an automatic 3% charge even when using cash. We would have given the waitress a bigger tip (she was great) but considering all the above...now I know why there were so few vehicles. Will see how long they survive. read more

The attitude at this place is so bad! Went to the Morning Glory in town and the woman who either works there or owns the place was so rude and asked if we had a reservation. A reservation?!! You are not the Nightengale or Glidden nor anything of the sort. We left. So then, a week later, we decided to go to the Morning Glory in Southern Door, thinking she was in town and wouldn't be there. But there she was, rude again! We've been going to that Morning Glory for years but it changed owners a few years ago. Now, there she was, condescending, as if we were children. This is not The Ritz honey! Sorry but your food is decent but not that good. Both times we left and the second time we took the short ride to the delicious Belgian Delight, a gem of a place where the customer is treated like family and valued and appreciated. Try the Chicken Booyah soup, it's wonderful! Belgian Delight serves up old-time customer service and friendliness, in big, heaping portions. Only been there once. The staff was friendly, but wasn't too pleased with the food. My wife and I both ordered a Philly Steak sandwich. When it arrived I almost could not believe that this $15 sandwich was made with some kind of processed meat patty instead of sliced beef. It was edible, but pretty much a McDonalds quality "steak" sandwich. The fries were good, but then the plate was finished off with a limp generic store quality pickle spear. Maybe other food there is good, but that Philly steak sandwich was not even close to sit-down restaurant quality. I doubt I'm going to be going there again to give the place a second chance. read more

Found this gem online. Located right off of WI-42, it is an ideal spot for a somewhat quick breakfast. No masks required at this time. About $20 for breakfast for 2. We were greeted promptly and given the option to choose our seats. Waitress was kind and quick. Pancakes are quite large and buttery per my guest, and I had the vegetarian skillet which comes with bread on the side (white, wheat, rye, or sourdough). They will butter the bread for you, so make sure to opt for no butter if desired. Coffee came in about 5 min, and food took about 20min, which I wasn't upset about. Clean place but a little chilly in there. More so a good stop for truckers I'd say, but I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and value. read more

Heard her talking to regulars, she had their order placed as soon as they walked in the door, now that's service! Homemade bread, Swedish pancakes without Door County prices. Pork gravy was fresh and delicious and the hash-browns were that, nice and brown. Best sausages I've ever tasted, secret is they are fried not cooked on the flat top. We stopped in to Morning Glory on a Sunday at 11 after it being highly recommended by locals. The servers seemed overwhelmed and did not stop by often to check on us. Our food took approximately 45 minutes to come out to us after we ordered, which we thought seemed like quite awhile for breakfast food. My skillet was tasty, and was what I would expect for diner food. My friend ordered the steak -medium, and it was served to him well done and very chewy. Needed somewhere to stop on our way from Door County to Milwaukee. Serving both breakfast and lunch items on their menu was a plus for us. I eat grilled chicken wraps everywhere I go, this is the BEST wrap I have ever had. Simply delicious, made with care. Small kitchen and staff made the wait a little longer than we would have liked but that's just because the place was popping! We were rained out at our campsite so we decided to go into town for breakfast. This is what we found. When we arrived there were not many people but by the time we left every single table was full. There were very little COVID precautions in place. A few of the waiters were wearing their mask correctly. The food was basic diner food. Nothing special. Our waitress was terrible. I added up our bill because it looked wrong and she had added almost $15 to the total. When I pointed it out at the register, they pulled the waitress over and she 'justified' it by saying she didn't write everything down. It still didn't add up but the person checking us out was equally confused and did not make us pay that extra amount. read more

I had to stop in based on the yelp reviews. The place is a small diner with hot food. It isn't an organic or natural place. It's hot and good food served at a decent price. For 2 people to eat it was $20 with a 20% tip. The raisin bread is homemade but if you don't like a lot of butter make sure to remember to ask for it dry. The hash brown omelet isn't an omelet but it is good if your going to be doing a lot that day. It's a hearty meal with a lot of flavor. The service is great and very attentive. I saw one bad review due the the wait and service and while we waited 5 min for a table it wasn't nearly that bad. This place is always our breakfast stop on our way to Door County. It's a little place that can be easily missed. While it's small, the food is so fresh and homemade. They make their bread in house. They use real ham on meals, not deli meat. Coffee is from Door County Coffee. Food prices are so reasonable while the portions are large. Waited and hour for breakfast tough when you want to be on the road to home. The three stars are actually for the food, it's just so-so. One friend got the Mexican scramble. Driving home from Door County we were looking for a breakfast place. We wanted a homemade breakfast. I looked on yelp and saw great reviews for this restaurant so we stopped. Granted it is a Sunday morning and everyone is driving home from the weekend, but the lack of customer service was very disappointing. There was at least 10 people waiting in line, but no one knew what to do. People were walking in and cutting in line and other customers were getting mad and the waitresses said nothing, not a hello, or even explained if we sat ourselves or they would seat us and there was no sign explaining. Morning Glory was conveniently located and had plenty of parking for our truck and trailer. We had the omelet special and pancakes with bacon. The omelet special was good and more than filling. The pancakes were a little chewy and the flavor was average, but still very much edible. Bacon was good. Servers were friendly.
