Straight out of a vacation booklet. Walking distance from our cabin and the lake. Log cabin style, cute outdoor seating and music on the weekends. Their burgers have gotten much better and are one of the best around. Pick up is available.

Had to check out this Yelp favorite for their Friday Night Fish Fry. So glad that I did! It's about 10 miles or so outside of Sturgeon Bay, but well worth the trip. Ordered 1 Walleye dinner & 1 Perch dinner so that the two of us could sample both varieties. Both were pan fried to perfection. Lightly coated with a tasty seasoning that enhanced rather than overpowered these delicate fish. Large portions which we happily devoured. Options for indoor or outdoor dining.

Such a cool venue and tasty food! We really loved the vibe and that it was a very cool Log cabin restaurant close to the cave point park! We had pretty genuine service and really enjoyed how quick everything was ready. Definatly a reccomend spot as they have nice outdoor seating too if it's warm out! We didn't have time but also looked like a great selection of beers to relax and enjoy too!

Bartender asked us too many questions like she was a police officer. Not friendly, slow service and crappy drinks.

My friend ordered the Cubano sandwich and loved it, and another friend had the avocado toast with egg salad on sourdough, which was thoughtful, fresh, and elevated far beyond the usual café fare. Very cute place with some really interesting food with lots of vegetarian options but also lots of meat based dishes as well. I tried the Banh Mi and it was amazing. Its 5-spice marinated grilled pork, pickled daikon & carrot, cilantro, cucumber, Sriracha-lime mayo, on rustic roll. Lots of flavor and the pork was very tender and had great flavor. I also tried the soup of the day which was smoked ham with mushrooms and was very full of flavor. My wife ordered an Asian bowl with tofu and it was loaded with tons of fresh vegetables in a spicy asian broth. She loved it and it was served warm and was a huge serving. Very nice find and can't wait to go back in the Summer to check out the patio and the breakfast options.

Fantastic sandwich and pizza option if you're headed to or from Sleeping Bear Dunes!…read more We came across Shipwreck Cafe after stopping for gas next door on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We wanted a kid friendly option and came in for the pizza, but ended up being blown away by the massive sandwich menu! Don't be discouraged by the line - it moves FAST!!!! The young people at the register and in the kitchen are efficient and so nice!!! We arrived about half an hour before the sign says pizzas are ready, and the lovely man at the register said "sure!" when we asked if we could order a pizza. The menu has something for everyone - Including plenty of vegetarian options (I think they even had a vegan option). I loved my Griffon, and the meat eaters in our group enjoyed the SS Noronic (a BLT) and the Fitzgerald. Our kids devoured their cheese pizza! They also carry Great Lakes Co Chips, which are some of the best potato chips we've ever had. Our sandwiches were all so inventive with delicious, fresh ingredients, amazing condiments, and the most freshly baked "pretzel rolls" ever. If this place wasn't a vacation stop for us, we'd be back all the time! Our kiddos favorite part, bedsides the pizza, were the tiny plastic swords that came in our sandwiches holding them together. When they each wanted one more sword, we went back inside and the staff inside was so used to kids asking for more tiny swords that their response to "May we have two more swords?" Was "Sure! What colors?!" Very different from what the response would have been where we're from. :) We even came back later in the day for the frozen custard!!! All in all, it was a great experience with great food, great service, plenty of outdoor picnic tables under umbrellas, and something for everyone to eat.

We were informed that there is zero variation allowed. How the items are described is exactly how they are served. We politely asked to just leave a few things off like the onions and the sauce, "not an option". We asked for ketchup for our french fries, they don't serve ketchup, and they only offer their own special disco sauce. When we said, surely, you have Ketchup? " not in this place you don't." I have been to fine dining establishments that don't allow variations in their menu, or have ketchup. This is a casual eating place in a tourist town. Totally unexpected, we won't be going back. Want to forewarn other people especially if you're coming here with kids. They also don't have mustard. I heard them tell another customer. To be fair, the two thin smashed burgers on their sandwich were good and the french fries were tasty and the perfect amount of crunch. We did spend a good of our time, scraping off fried onions and sauce. I would hope over time they will gain some flexibility for the benefit of their customers. Having their own house sauce is a wonderful thing to try, however, be a bit flexible.
