Food was good and service was great! Ambiance is very romantic. Went here for mine and husband's 5th year wedding anniversary. It was definitely an experience. We just realized we are not into French cuisine lol but if you love it, go for it! Bon appetite!

The setting of the restaurant is beautiful with a few tables outside as wells many indoors. The Country French atmosphere inside is very comfortable, with all the staff very friendly. Our server, who's name I regrettably can't remember, was informative and fun. There were four of us so we got a chance to sample many of the items on the menu. For appetizers we enjoyed: ` Escargots en Brioche. Snails, garlic, butter and parsley over house baked brioche. Beautifully plated as well as delicious. The Pate' Tasting, included 3 different types / a Loaf style pâté of chicken, pork, ham, hazelnuts and dried fruit, wrapped in bacon / a chicken liver mousse with black truffle / and a Duck Rillette. All were delicious, but the Rilette and chicken liver mousse were outstanding. It was served with baguettes, whole grain mustard, and cornichons and was enough for all of us to sample. And last but not least, the very good Wild Mushroom Soup with Croutons. For Entrees we had: The Cassoulet Toulousain. In my opinion, this was the "winner" of the night. The Stony Hill Farm duck leg was cooked perfectly and had a delicious combination of white beans, sausage, pork, thyme, garlic, and a bread crumb topping. The Bronzino Fillet over a Pepper Risotto with tender Asparagus was well seasoned and rich in flavor. We were slightly disappointed with the other two entrees. The Braised Rabbit in a Burgundy, Brandy, and Prune Reduction with button mushrooms lacked the flavors that the sauces promised. This was also what we thought of the Chicken Tajine, which overall was on the dry side. There was little to no sauce on the dish except for the fiery hot harissa which could only be used sparingly. We tried 4 different desserts and each was delicious. With 2 coffees, before tip, the bill per couple was around $135. A very reasonable amount for the overall quality of the meal. (BTW - it's a BYO.)

Super sweet spot on the outskirts of Philly. We came here on a lovely spring day and had the prix fixe brunch. For $33 you get to choose from a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. The salads are inventive with fresh ingredients and the entrees range from typical breakfast fare to their well-known Belgian waffles and steak frites. My fellow guests leaned breakfast with the egg skillet while I went savory with the rack of lamb. Lovely flavors and presentation all around. Four stars because the food needed a bit of salt and pepper for my taste.

This is a wonderful find off the beaten path. So glad we decided to trust the reviews. The food was absolutely delicious. The service is impeccable and something we no longer see in many places. It was such a delight to eat here. Will definitely return when we come back up.

Great experience overall getting dinner delivered! Before ordering, I had called in to ask about gluten-free options, and they have a lot of them, which is great! For dinner, we got the pork chop and the duck á l'orange, with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts, and for dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse, flourless orange cake, and macarons. We ordered dinner on Caviar, and delivery was seamless and convenient. Each dish came in its own plastic container, and they put the mousse and vanilla ice cream that came with the cake in takeaway cups, which I thought was clever. All the food tasted great! The Brussels sprouts were nicely charred but still springy, and the entrees were tasty as well. I had the duck, which had very nice crispy skin and tender meat. We also enjoyed the desserts, especially the chocolate mousse! The flourless cake was tasty for the most part, but we did find toward the end that there was a chunk of baking soda that hadn't dissolved into the mix, so that was a bit of an unpleasant surprise. The macarons were a mix of flavors, and my favorite was probably the coffee one. Overall, nice experience, and I would order from them again in the future!

A gem of Conshohocken. Off the beaten path, homey and warm. A farmhouse feel with exceptional service. I sat outside and although it was chilly, they turned on the heat lamp to keep us comfy. The table was gorgeous. Stained glass and colorful. We started with the large cheese board. I had fish for dinner and ended with spiced orange cake. The cheese variety was delicious and I enjoyed them all equally. The fruit was fresh and there was a nice variety. I wish the cheese pieces were a bit larger, I felt that they were pretty small for two people to share. My fish was cooked perfectly. Over sweet potatoes with crunch kale. I wish there were more sweet potatoes. I normally do not get dessert and I definitely am not a cake eater. I was compelled to try the spiced orange cake and it did not disappoint. The flavors were spicy and perfect for fall.

We had our small, non-traditional wedding (17 guests) here and had an excellent experience! There are 2 options - renting out the restaurant or renting out the barn. We rented the barn and loved it! It felt so intimate and special. The food is fabulous. Loved the duck a l'orange and the corn bisque! They have a partnership with Frosted Fox, who made us a gorgeous and delicious cake as part of our package. The servers are awesome, so friendly and accommodating. Ezra, the owner, is great to work with. And I think the rental fees and costs per person are incredibly reasonable. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to host a special, private event, and for small weddings!

It's also BYOB, which makes it even better -- bring your favorite bottle and make a whole night out of it. The vibe is warm, intimate, and perfect for date night, but they also have a gorgeous outdoor space that can host up to 100 people, making it such a hidden gem for larger parties and celebrations. They opened in September 2019 -- just six months before the pandemic -- which makes what they've built even more impressive. It's truly family-driven. The husband, Manuel (from Spain), is the head chef, and you can absolutely taste the care and authenticity in every dish. Cindy, who is from Panama, brings so much heart to the restaurant as well. We started with Prince Edward Island oysters and the crab salad, which had crispy bacon pieces for a great touch of texture and the crab was incredibly fresh -- such a perfect balance of flavors and crunch. For entrées, the beef bourguignon was rich, comforting, and everything you'd hope for from a classic French dish. The Dover sole felt elegant and perfectly executed. We ended with the chocolate mousse, which was light, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. And I have to mention our server -- Delroy was fabulous. Attentive, personable, and so knowledgeable. He truly elevated the entire experience. Between the ambiance, the hospitality, and the beautifully prepared food, La Provence is absolutely somewhere I'll be coming back to for an elevated night out.

We really liked the atmosphere too. We ate the aracinis for an appetizer and for entrees we had the short rib pasta and the salmon. We would definitely come back. But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.

Once inside, the feeling was a lot better. Not much in the way of art work on the walls, but still had a nice warm feeling. There were 3 of us and we did a lot of sharing. The Scallops in Shredded Filo was good but the Crab & Artichoke, with garlic aioli, parsley and capers was definitely "the winner". The Seafood Ceviche with scallops, halibut and shrimp was also delicious. While 2 of us were still enjoying our appetizers, our entrees were brought to the table and our plates moved to make room for them. I made the comment to no one in particular that I would try to eat faster as the seafood ceviche was pushed off to the side of the table. We had a 7 pm reservation and for the most part the restaurant was full by that time but we were not intentionally eating slowly. I could see if we might be taking up too much time eating and they had to move the tables but that was not the case as the restaurant was only half full by the time we left. For an establishment that is charging the prices that it is, Avg $18 for appetizers, high $30s for entrees, no one wants to feel rushed. The Halibut Almondine with Beurre Blank was good but not as good as we had hoped, with it being on the dry-side. The Dorado with Baby Vegetables was delicious as well as beautifully presented with "potato fish scales". A shared warm Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream completed our meal. Their menu is extensive making it an easy decision to return but I will mention that we would like a more leisurely experience this time around.

But one thing is certain: Despite…read morebeing highly recommended via a variety of sources, our recent visit to Agua Bistro proved to be something of a disappointment. Our dissatisfaction pertained neither to the restaurant's appealingly cozy ambiance nor to its spot-on personable service. Rather, it was related solely to the preparation and presentation of a portion of the cuisine; which, despite their website's pontification - "Here you will find Chef's handcrafted à la carte menu inspired by a medley of Mediterranean flavors" - fell significantly short of expectations. But let's begin on a positive note... The Fried Artichokes, which my dining partner and I shared as an appetizer, as did the other couple with whom we dined, received nothing but raves. Kissed by a balsamic glaze, caressed by Panko breadcrumbs, and pillowed on mixed greens splashed with lemon dressing, it was indeed an auspicious beginning. Desserts were also quite good... and our little group managed to sample several noteworthy possibilities. My dining partner, for example, enjoyed the Limoncello Cake while I opted for the Apple Tart with French vanilla ice cream. But by far the most interesting dessert of the evening was the Peach Melba, which was shared by the other couple. Actually, "interesting" is something of a misnomer, as the history of this famous confection is as intriguing as its checklist of ingredients is delicious. Peach Melba is a dessert of peaches, raspberry sauce, and vanilla ice cream (Agua's version also adds whipped cream). It was invented in 1892-93 by French chef Auguste Escoffier at London's Savoy Hotel to honor Australian soprano Nellie Melba. In 1892, or so the story goes, Ms. Melba was performing Wagner's opera Lohengrin at Covent Garden. At a dinner party in her honor, Escoffier presented her with a dessert of fresh peaches served over vanilla ice cream in a silver dish perched atop an ice sculpture of a swan (which is featured in the opera). Originally Escoffier called the dish Pêche au Cygne (Peach with a Swan). Several years later, however, he changed the recipe slightly by adding a topping of sweetened raspberry purée and renamed the dish Pêche Melba. Tasty fried artichokes and tempting desserts notwithstanding, it was the entrées that proved to be the kitchen's undoing... And topping the list of eminently forgettable items was my Pan Seared Atlantic Swordfish, which was overly breaded, unattractively hefty of countenance, exhibited a decidedly mushy texture, and tasted offputtingly "fishy" in spots. Ill-chosen accompaniments such as gloppy white beans, olive tapenade, and bland, under-seasoned, undercooked vegetables did absolutely nothing - either gastronomically or asthetically - to remediate this sorry state of affairs. Definitely not the kitchen's finest hour. While other entrées were not as distasteful as my swordfish, they were still nothing to write home about. My dining partner, for example, wasn't exactly thrilled with her Chicken Parmigiana. Not that it was beneath contempt... but she certainly had seen and tasted better in numerous other establishments. What was particularly telling to me was that the kitchen appeared to be rather careless with its entrée presentations. The food photos I observed on the restaurant's website were strikingly beautiful. Up close and personal, however - in the flesh, so to speak - their appearance clearly lacked a certain savoir faire. And for an establishment that seemed to posture itself as significantly above the ranks of plebeian cookery, this was an unappetizing paradox indeed. The major offender in this regard was undoubtedly the Wild Mushroom Ravioli swimming in a madeira cream sauce. Which, while a feast for the palate - at least according to the other gentleman in our party - was also famine for the eye, bearing, in my opinion, uncanny resemblance to the regurgitation of an endangered species. I don't mean to imply that each and every item placed before a diner needs to be a work of art... On the other hand, it should possess sufficient visual appeal to contribute to rather than detract from the enjoyment of an evening at table. In this instance, with just the slightest bit of effort, I think the kitchen could have made this particular presentation infinitely more pleasurable to the eye. An absolutely charming little BYOB, there is no question that Agua Bistro has all the makings of a first-rate eatery. That being said, however... for idealistic promise to become gastronomic reality, it appears that there must be a significant improvement in both the quality and the character of their entrées.
