Someone asked me recently to name my favorite breakfast burrito in the Indianapolis area. And you know what? I could not think of a single place. I come from a land where great breakfast burritos can be found everywhere (you know the place), so my standards are high. And then I tasted the breakfast burrito at Mornings Breakfast & Brunch in Fishers. And now ... well. If someone asked me, now, where my favorite breakfast burrito is located, Mornings might pop into my head. Because the breakfast burrito here is bangin'. It's appropriately mushy in all the right places. (If you know me, then you know that "mushy" is a big compliment when describing a burrito.) It has hash browns that aren't too crispy, diced bacon (or whatever other meat you choose), scrambled eggs, cheese, all wrapped in a thin flour tortilla. The breakfast burrito also comes with a side of sour cream and salsa verde, plus an additional side. I chose fried potatoes. I got my breakfast burrito to go, like you should. Do people eat burritos sitting down in a restaurant? Aren't they made to be eaten in a car, precariously gripped in one hand, with the other had on the steering wheel, maneuvering around roundabouts? Or in a car, dripping sweat into the to-go container as you hover over it to shove the last bits of burrito into your face after a vigorous yoga session? Burritos are meant to be eaten in cars, obviously, so I got my breakfast burrito to go. Burritos, like many things, taste better when they're eaten in a car. When I visited Mornings early in the morning, the music was blasting in the dining room. I don't know if they always have it this loud, or if maybe they were just trying to pump up the staff, or if maybe I'm just old and everything is loud now, but the music was very loud. Like, "raise your voice to talk to the person across the table" loud. I guess just keep that in mind. Or let that be yet another sign that you need to get your food to go and eat it in your car. read more

Mornings easily lands in my top three breakfast spots. The space is clean and nicely decorated, with a welcoming, cozy feel. Andrea was incredibly kind even at 7 AM, which says a lot. The coffee is strong, fresh, and exactly what you need to start the day. The breakfast burrito is massive (seriously, it could feed an army), the pancakes are fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth good, and the hash browns are perfectly done. Everything came out quickly, thanks to Froy and Eduardo in the kitchen. I made sure to tell them how great the food was, and their big smiles said it all you can tell they genuinely care about both quality and service. There's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. If you're feeling a little lazy but still want a great breakfast, Mornings is the place. I was visiting my cousins for the weekend and we were hungry, but didn't want to cook AND we didn't want to get dressed to go out. So...we ordered carryout (onlyb1 person had to get dressed...lol). Everything was packaged well in aluminum foil bowl with the plastic covers. There were 4 orders, but only 2 sets of plastic ware (just a note, not a reason for 4 stars not 5) The food was delicious. I shared my crispy potatoes with my cousin because they forgot hers (first reason for 4 stars not 5) with the order. My veggie omelette was light and fluffy. I added cheese, which was melted on top instead of being incorporated with the veggies (another reason for 4 stars not 5). The pancakes were good, too...light and fluffy. My cousins enjoyed their meals as well - one of the bowls (Portuguese, I think), steak and eggs, chilequilles. The only complaint was that it wasn't clear while ordering that the meat shown in the photo of the chilequilles was not included, so my cousin was disappointed when it was missing (3rd reason for 4 stars not 5). I ordered food from this place as I have done many times for pickup, and their service has increasingly slowed. I ordered at 8am for pickup at 10am. I can see the parking lot to them from our house, and they were not busy. It's now 10:42 and we are still waiting for our food. Don't bother, this place has poor logistics and service. read more

Wow! This was our first time at Mornings and it did not disappoint!! We showed up at 1pm, no wait for the 2 of us, we got seated and greeted within 2 minutes! This chain of restaurants is quickly becoming one of my new favorites. I'm not really big on breakfast, but I am a brunch-er, for sure! This location, in particular, is my favorite. All of the ladies who work here are super-friendly and very hardworking. My daughter took me here for Mother's Day and, although the place was packed and had a short wait time, the amazing service didn't skip a beat. I really enjoyed my mimosa flight, as well as my patty melt and fries. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy (9/10- she's specifically told me to include that) with mini waffles on the side. They placed a really cute butterfly design atop her cappuccino, but she didn't really like the bitter taste. No matter the amount of sugar she added, it still tasted bitter. Yesterday morning, I was in the area and decided to place a to-go order for myself and my husband. He got a traditional, eggs with meat, breakfast. It came with 2 eggs scrambled with American cheese (he didn't think they'd travel well, but said they were actually VERY good), bacon cooked soft (you'd be surprised at how many places can't accommodate this request because their bacon is pre-cooked and kept in a warmer) and super soft and fluffy pancakes. He also chose a mixed greens salad, but after he removed the almonds and strawberries, it was a pretty sad-looking salad. He didn't eat it. I opted for the Greek Salad with a grilled salmon filet added. When I arrived, well after the time given when I placed the order online, it appeared that my order wasn't ready. I had to wait several minutes for something that should've been bagged and tagged well before I got there. I wasn't happy about that, but on second thought, everything was really warm and fresh. I got home and realized that my salad was missing the peppers. Luckily, I had some of my own to add. These are the two reasons that the 4-star review wasn't 5-stars. The salad was delicious. The salmon was well-seasoned and nicely grilled (not too dry or under-cooked). All the flavors came together perfectly. It was just what I'd been craving. The weekday morning mood was super cozy, and chill compared to the chaos of Mother's Day. I'll definitely be back to enjoy a slow morning here soon. read more

Today's visit was spectacular. Erika, our server, was upbeat, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. So many great menu choices - many with a Mexican twist. I've got to try the Chilequiles and the Huevos Rancheros. Today, the Veggie Omelette (no up charge for egg whites) for both is us. Friday noon and this place is bustling. There are tables available, however, it is more than half full. Their carry out busy too. This is my third visit here and my first winter visit. I appreciate the cover over their patio area--it keeps the cold air out when the door opens. My food tasted great. My wife and I LOVE a good breakfast spot. Mornings is everything you've been looking for in a breakfast restaurant. The food is breakfast but leveled up. The portions are generous and well presented. The flavor profiles are what you are used and familiar but upgraded to something better. The portions were so generous that I had to take half home, and I came hungry. In addition to great food, they also have safe options for people with gluten issues. They take extra care to prep these foods in a safe and clean part of their kitchen. I can't wait to take my wife to try their delicious food that is also safe for her. Quick update: I told my friend about my great experience, and he wanted to return today. This time, Bri was our server, and she was fantastic! She had great menu recommendations and answered all of our questions. We will be back. Leslie was our waitress at the bar seating and she was great! They have a fun coffee machine that makes pretty pictures on your crafted coffee. Mugs are really good size, too! Corned beef hash and two poached eggs for me. The hashis homemade...excellent choice if you like hash. Farmers omlette and side salad for my husband. Generous size omlette and very good flavor. Food, service and ambience are really nice. Music playing was just right for a breakfast restaurant. My only suggestion and others sitting at the bar agree...new bar stools needed!! Stopped by this place for brunch last week and it was delicious! My boyfriend ordered the carne asada skillet and the flavor was 10/10. The bell peppers added slight sweetness, crunch, and texture to an already savory meal. I forget the name of the meal I ordered but it came with two eggs, hashbrowns, your choice of protein, and a side of pancakes, toast, etc. I chose to upgrade my side to the paradise french toast for a few extra dollars and it was so worth it! I loved the fresh fruit and the maple whipped cream was cool, light, and not too sweet. Syrup was not necessary! Also the 3 sausage links were HUGE, which I rarely see at breakfast places nowadays. Definitely got the bang for my buck. Our server, Easton, provided stellar service and even offered us to-go waters when we paid our bill since it was hot out. TL;DR: decent experience, food tasted good, a little pricey for what you get. Food: Got the southern Benedict and paradise French toast. Flavor was good on both, the chicken on the southern Benedict was actually surprisingly good but overall both dishes were smaller than expected. Particularly disappointing was the amount of hash browns that came with the southern Benedict. As a reference, I normally eat about half of what I consider a normal breakfast portion but I could easily eat a full portion here and not be satisfied. If the per dish prices matched the amount of food I'd be less annoyed but at about $15 each I expected more. Service: Service was fine, no issues with the wait time or ordering. Overall: Good experience but I felt it was a bit overpriced for what you got. I'd go again if someone wanted but wouldn't go out of my way on a normal basis. read more

Came here for brunch with a friend for my birthday, it was a great time! I love the set up, plus the fun grassy wall. We had to wait a bit which was expected on a Saturday morning. A great little place for breakfast on the north side. I met a colleague here for breakfast this morning. It is a beautiful place in a really nice area of town. It is very open and bright, their menu has the standards as well as some other more upscale types of things. A great selection. They serve breakfast, and lunch/brunch. The server was very friendly and positive the whole time. She gave us space to talk, but always came back to check if we needed more coffee or anything else. Finally made it here after hearing good reviews. Met a friend here around 11 on a Sunday. There was an about a twenty minute wait before our table was ready. They were busy, but were quick at bussing tables after patrons were finished. The waiting area is tiny, and we were in a narrow opening and had to constantly move when someone wanted to walk to the other side. The restaurant itself is not that big, but adequate. It has tables and booths. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Interior was bright, clean, and fresh. Although, I've heard about the mimosa flights, I didn't get to try them this time. Since I was on this side of town, I wanted to run to a few stores afterwards. Anyhoo, I got the Belgian Bird and it was pretty tasty and filling. I ended up taking one piece of chicken home. I stopped in to Mornings early one day midweek and was welcomed in immediately and seated in a corner booth as I was dining solo. It's very light and airy although not very large. I was excited to try to menu as I've heard nothing but good things. My server came to take my order after a bit of a wait; I was a little concerned that she took a while as it wasn't totally busy. However, she came and after I had perused the menu (breakfast and lunch options) I was ready to begin. *note - I was kind of bummed she didn't give me any drink specials or mention alcoholic beverages because mimosas are kind of a thing here. She only asked if I wanted typical drinks - coffee, juice, etc. I thought about mimosas later. I ordered a basic breakfast meal and was disappointed that there wasn't any way to substitute for other items as I don't like eggs. I ordered them anyway and they just sat on my plate. The pancakes I were not happy with. They were pecan pancakes but the pancake itself seemed like it was made with a weird mix. Kind of crumbly. In sum, I'm a little disappointed in my food experience. Mornings is the perfect brunch spot! Our waitress was sweet and the food was great. The mimosa flight was so good - they fill the glasses to the brim! So worth the price. The piña colada was my personal favorite, so light and tasty! I had the classic eggs Benedict, the English muffin wasn't my favorite but overall was still a good breakfast. Well, I don't know what's so exciting about this joint? I don't think it's special at all. The waffles came out cold butter can't melt on cold waffles. The potatoes were cold. The mango juice was overly sweet. She brings the food out and no silverware so we sat there and waited another 45 seconds or so for someone to bring silverware from the kitchen I suppose.. I guess we were supposed to eat it with her fingers. I've had better. I like my breakfast to be hot or at least warm. This was ridiculously cold. Who wants to eat cold eggs? We came at 8:30 on a Sunday and were seated right away. There were plenty of tables available but they filled up quickly by the time we left at 9:30 am. There is a good variety of food on the menu- I went with a make your own omelette. They don't have gluten free foods marked on the menu but do have many options available. Neither of the potato options are gluten free unfortunately but they were able to sub that for fruit. The omelettes came with GF toast or pancakes- both were tasty and no extra charge which I appreciated. I felt like the food and service were good- no complaints but also nothing making me want to visit again ASAP (except next time to get that mimosa flight) - I would come back here again though and try more of the menu. read more
