Went to Gourmet Providence since they changed owners and had such a better experience! The place looks like a millions bucks! You can actually walk through the store! The awesome barista with glasses is a GEM! She makes the best Carmel iced latte and is the nicest person! I tried your bagels and cream cheese. They were the BEST I've had in a long time! Keep up the amazing work!

Is that an expiration?! I've got in on February 10...

Disappointment. I've just got back from a wonderful weekend in Vermont. And I was really exited about this cheese... Long story short, I was on my way back home from Vermont. I checked reviews and picked this place on my way home. I was really exited about local croissants, which is by the way was not so fresh, but more I was super exited about cheese from local (Brandon) farm. I love cheese, I can eat cheese day and night, so I picked it, and even checked a date on a pack. I would not suggest this place to anyone. It's super sad, because they killed my cheese mood for a night... be careful people.

Local cheese, meat, and bread made at the gourmet provence!

2nd time there…read more... First time about 2yrs ago with out of town friends. Breakfast was just so-so. I decided to give Mae's a 2nd chance and went for a late breakfast/brunch yesterday (Sunday) . Walked in and was left to stand there, no acknowledgment...finally after approx. 4-5mins was told I could sit anywhere. by an older, flustered waitress. The place wasn't THAT busy. I ordered a Mae-Mosa (based on my check I think I was charged about $13-15?) which came in a beer pint glass...not at all a common way to serve a mimosa nor was it good.. By the way, there are no prices on the table card with the list of drinks...which were beer, wine or mimosas. I ordered waffles ($9.50) and a side of bacon ($4) "crisp" please. The consistency of the cold waffles was that of a wet sponge. Mushy. On the plate was a cute, but empty porcelain cow that was supposed to house maple syrup I assumed. I waited and waited to get the waitresses attention but to no avail so I got up, went over to where you pay and when I advised her I did not receive any maple syrup she never made eye contact with me...no apology and was quite busy counting her checks. I asked should I leave this lil' cow with you ? Again without looking up, said yes. While I waited for maple syrup which finally came but was given little plastic take out container filled and dropped off in a hurry...I thought the syrup tasted more like "pancake syrup" than Vermont's #1 pride and joy commodity. The "crispy bacon"? was far from crispy...1/2 of each of the 3 pieces was fat...and greasy as hell. I pulled apart what was edible and left a plate with lots of gristle . I truly should have sent all of it back but I was too hungry I guess and ate as much of what came out of the kitchen and was anxious to leave. Sooo my $25.50 Sunday brunch...with tax was extremely disappointing. I would have been MUCH better off going to the Morningside Bakery around the block which would have been better and less expensive. https://morningsidebakery.square.site/ It's a shame...and I'm not happy leaving a review like this as the owner & her husband are really nice folks but...Cest la vie.

The sugar house coffee was a standout. Rich, smooth, and exactly what you want on a cold Vermont morning.
