However, the matting and the glass in cheap frames leaves a lot to be desired. I brought everything here, and we worked out a deal where they would custom cut replacement matting, UV protection glass, and then attached the pictures to the matting. When we picked them up, we just had to reinstall everything in the frames we already had (which they confirmed we pretty good quality frames). We are very pleased with the results.

"Do you want bright white or eggshell white?" "Let's look at them together." Additionally, they offer to amend things that I didn't notice. A print I asked to have matted and framed was slightly curved. I was assured the print would be flattened prior to being matted and framed so it would sit more snugly. I'm sure most customers would appreciate that attention to detail. Here's to hoping this establishment continues to provide goods and services to this community for a long time to come.

They sell the pencils individually so she can selectively restock the ones she runs out of most. Apparently, green is the most frequently used color for all the grass in landscapes so she can buy individual ones here very reasonably instead of buying a whole new package of pencils. They also have a nice selection of gift items like small pouches, reusable bags, socks, cards and assorted small art themed things. The selection of easels is extensive and includes table easels and standing easels. Tons of canvas, paints and paint brushes. Prices are reasonable. I found the staff a little overbearing (they greeted me multiple times) when I entered the store but were friendly at checkout. Highly recommend.

It's all made locally in Troy. The shop also has greeting cards with funny sayings and cute pictures. If you have a custom order, they can accommodate that as well. Lastly, they do have events throughout the year where you can make a t-shirt and they usually involve some kind of adult beverage. I haven't done one and that should change.

That was until we got the idea to go to a local print shop. I found Troy Cloth and Paper on Yelp and headed right there. Dave was available to chat about shirt design, shirt style options, and suggested sizing. We settled on Bella Canvas tanks which are much better than the quality Etsy offers. There was a slight communication error that delayed the design process but as soon as that was fixed I had a mock up within 3 business days. Dave was awesome about modifying my mock up to meet my design preferences. I confirmed the mock up was good to go at 7 am and my shirts were done by 7 pm. THEY LOOK AWESOME and Dave gave us a hefty discount for the communication error. Awesome customer service and easy to work with. Definitely recommend these guys for all your events that require shirts.

There were 3 or 4 packs there. When I checked out, they rang up at $54.99. I said no, there's a sticker on the shelf that says clearance $17.99. another cashier left to look and returned to tell me they were in the wrong spot. Not my doing, but ok. There was a line forming behind me, so I said void it out, I'll find something else. Looked further and found a brand that was BOGO, and the 11x14s were showing at $19.99. Perfect, as I only really needed to. I go back to the register and ask the cashier to verify they are actually BOGO. They were, and unfortunately, I stopped really paying attention. When I got home and looked at my emailed receipt, they'd charged me $29.99. I even went online to verify: these frames showed at $19.99. This seems to be an ongoing problem, which really sucks with almost all other art supply places now gone, but I'm done playing the pricing games.

They had me go to a shorter line, which was for returns, when I had no return. I must have watched 20 customers behind me leave before me. A 15 minute wait for 2 customers ahead of me. I'll admit this seems to be an issue at most locations. I don't think this corporation will ever figure it out, and because of that I generally avoid these stores.
