Let me start off by saying I'm a regular when it comes to services. I've NEVER had a bad service, I've always left satisfied. Katie and her staff are incredibly professional and they're always great about scheduling. When they know they're busy they'll have me book in advance so I can get all of my appointments in. And if they need to reschedule due to a conflict they always give plenty of notice. The Spa itself is very cozy and clean. Heated beds?!?! A revelation. Breath mints for when you chugged coffee on the way into your appointment?! I'm here for it. I love the convenient location and availability of parking - coming from L.A. those are luxuries. The services - I love the sensitive soothing facial! I've fallen asleep with the jelly mask on, I'm not ashamed. It was that relaxing. My husband and I both did a round of peels this past winter and his acne is basically gone, and my maskne dark spots have faded almost entirely. I also want to note that the electrology pricing is very fair! The selection of products is really good! I love Eminence and have been using that brand for a while, but I also love that they carry result driven product lines like PCA. They never get pushy with products but they'll make recommendations based off your skin concerns, and honestly who doesn't love professional skin care advice?! Over the last few months I've continued seeing Svetlana exclusively for my waxing needs and we've discussed inconsistencies with my leg and Brazilian waxing. There have also been a few issues with sugaring my bikini area. On one occasion the sugaring was so rough and painful the skin was ripped off my bikini area (I decided no more sugaring after that ordeal) and my legs have had leftover hairs time and time again. Svetlana informed me that it's common when you start waxing again and once you've done it for roughly a year it will stop happening. It's been almost a year where I've exclusively waxed with her but there hasn't been a change. When I get home I'm still tweezing missed hair. I decided to ask her about it and she informed me that she doesn't have much experience with waxing my hair type. I was under the impression she did based on her many accolades. She was kind enough to recommend Natalia on JFK Street at another Skin Spa. If you have very fine/straight hair you won't have any problems when going here. But if your hair is curly or thick you may want to reconsider. Lastly, there have also been occasions where I've been accidentally overcharged for services. The first time I called her after noticing my bank statement and the second time I had to email her. The overcharged amount wasn't refunded but was applied to my next service. My quest continues...
