I love this place, We used to go there twice or even 3 times a week when it was the middle eastern restaurant. Then it changed to just simple comfort food, then now it is Morralito. I went back for the first time in years with my family, and was VERY HAPPILY SURPRISED. Don't expect a fine dinning experience.. But, I love the atmosphere, the open air, the quality and value of the food, the service and the kindness of the servers as well as the managers. The whole family enjoyed the food and the time there. I will go back again and again.. I think with a very small upgrade to the tabke settings and possibly table covers, this place will jump to a different level and will deserve 6 stars. Went here with the family to watch the Mexico football game. The service was not great. I had to get up and go to the bar to order my food, since my waiter never came back. I ordered cheese enchiladas and specifically asked to have them with corn tortillas. This being because my wife cannot have gluten. Well, they were not corn tortillas and found out the hard way, because my wife got sick. The food was okay. The atmosphere was great, we sat in the patio. Worst service I've ever experienced. We were seated, and someone only came to take our drink order. After that, no one came back to take our food order. We waited for a long time while several employees were standing behind the bar, but no one checked on us or offered to help. I eventually had to get up and ask someone myself just so we could place our order. The lack of attention and customer service was extremely disappointing. I've been meaning to stop in since they moved to the golf course. It was a nice sunny day and nice to sit outside. The service is impeccable!! The drinks are pretty decent, but the food not so much. They give you nice big portions and the plating is nice, but I don't think they use salt on anything. The food was pretty bland. But I did stop in there on Friday night to check out karaoke and it was packed. I will go back in a Friday to check them out. I will give 4 stars because the service was so good. read more

First time here definitely won't be the last since I live up the street. My wife and I ordered takeout and it was ready really quickly the food was really good and price is totally reasonable. If you used to go to duffers you'll be blown away by the renovation the place is clean and feels way bigger than it used to. OPEN! Yes, this is the Morralito that had to close in January of 2025 . Late December of '25 abd they are back!!!They found this location at the Rancho Duarte Golf Course! The menu is exactly the same. Many of the decorations are familiar. The quality of the food and drinks is better! This is now our 5th visit since opening night. Service is great, even with an occasional hiccup due to getting used to the layout. There is a wonderful outdoor patio with heaters. We were here at night recently and the heaters worked fine. Today was an afternoon lunch with a group of 7 with a wonder ful view of the San Gabriel Mountains and the tee for hole one and the 9th green. read more

I reserved the patio for our Women's Rugby Club's post-match social, and the service, food, and drinks couldn't have been better. We have used this space consistently during past seasons when it was Duffers, however this restaurant is now top-notch food and service! Very accommodating for our large party of 40+ on the patio. I have a matter with this restaurant, I booked a party to be hold at the other location for February 14, 2026. In January 2026 When I called to complete my payment, I discovered they moved out location without letting me know they weren't able to host my party. Since then I've been trying to contact the manager or the owner to request the deposit I made, unfortunately every time I call none of them are there, and the only response I get is that they will give the massage to contact me back, I already went to the restaurant 2 times without any opportunity to speak to any of them because they weren't there at the time as well. Checked this place out on a rainy evening. We ordered posole, flautas, chile relleno, and guacamole.The posole was fave dish of the night. We also ordered a side of chile relleno, and for $5, it couldn't be beat. I'd order takeout just for the chile relleno. The guacamole was a little too expensive in my opinion, and it tasted like it had a powdered mix in it. They also give you free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. My husband and I ate here a few Saturdays ago around 5pm. It wasn't busy and we were seated right away inside. There were TVs everywhere playing the soccer game and the horse races. There's also a large outdoor seating area out back under a tent. There's a free parking lot back there, too. FYI, if you use a wheelchair or have a stroller like we did, you'll have to use the sidewalk to enter through the front of the building because to go in through the back, there are a few stairs you have to go down. Our server was very attentive and nice. This is one of those places where the servers tag team the tables, so we were constantly being checked on and having our drinks refilled, which I appreciated. Look at the beautiful drink in my pics! It's a frozen mango margarita and it tasted just as delicious as it looked. Loved the added jalapeño slices and the candy stick in it. My husband loved his, too. I got the chicken enchilada meal and loved it. The chicken was juicy and I liked the sauce. The portion to price ratio at this spot is on point. We have been loyal Cabrera's fans for years, but have had a string of bad experiences there, so we wanted to try another Mexican spot in the area. The two spots are not even a mile apart. Not only is this place cheaper, but its food is more authentic and the service is MUCH better. We'll definitely return to this spot over Cabrera's in the future when craving Mexican food. read more

Wife and I come here regularly...maybe every few weeks. The Cadillac margaritas is what initially hooked us. Feel they have been the best made here so far that we have had. As for the food, we have not been disappointed. She says the ceviche taste fresh here. I tend to try different items and have been pleased so far. The service is very good here. It's not usually just your one server helping you. The other staff also tends to stop by and check on you as well. Something that other places should do. We went to lunch with family the other day, as this is near their house. It was an ok place to get a meal. Service was a little slow but very friendly. The drinks were strong and the food was decent. I had a Tostada Grande con Pollo (essentially a tostada salad in the shell rather than on a flat tostada). It didn't have much flavor so I asked for the hot salsa, which was not that hot. I actually wanted Tapatio or Chalula but they didn't have any. My husband said his beef enchiladas were good and everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. We did a Uber eats order and we're extremely disappointed. Ordered a large posole there was NO hominy a few chunks of meat and just juice. It was packaged in a plastic to go container like where you would package a burrito or something else not a soup usually restaurants use the tall Styrofoam containers. We also ordered tacos and wrote specific notes only meat and cheese and of course it had EVERYTHING on them especially onions and we dislike onions. The service is always pleasant and I guess it's kind of like Cheers where they get to know your name. You walk in there and you always seem to see regulars. It is always a very pleasant experience. We live near this place and love it so much we go once a week if we can. Run by a wonderful family that makes you feel very welcome. Delicious chips and salsa to start and hearty portions of comfort Mexican food. Lots of screens to watch but my five year old still feels really welcome and asks to go back. One of food took quite a bit to come out. I ordered the fajita shrimps. And to be honest I think it was microwaved, only the out side of the dish was hot and towards the middle of the dish my shrimp was semi warm. Other than that it was ok.
