I would not recommend OBGYN care with Dr. Ahdoot. Being pregnant and going to Apts should be a happy & wonderful experience. Every Apt I had Dr. Ahdoot would rush me out of it, even when I had questions/concerns. Also, every time I had a concern about my health (due to being pregnant) he would not even listen to my concerns and try to send me off to Primary Dr. Many people complain about his attitude/personality which I didn't mind, it was the lack of care, also how he would get impatient when I had questions + the lack of communication. Alexis from front desk was always so friendly, and helpful. Claudia however was very rude and non-understanding when I tried to express to her my concerns right before I decided to find a new OB. Two months ago, I went to Dr. Morris Ahadoot's office,because of a gland I have in my right breast, and to make sure it's not cancerous due to the presence of cancer in my maternal family, and I can be at risk. The doctor's behavior towards me was very rude, and I left a review for him. Not only did he not apologize to me, but he also canceled my MRI appointment after 2 months!!!!!Yesterday, Wave Image contacted me to inform me that Dr. Ahdoot canceled my MRI! When I contacted the doctor's office, his secretary told me that you changed your doctor, and I said no!!! The secretary said she would check and contact me back, but until today, no one has contacted me. What's strange to me is that doctors aren't supposed to prioritize their patients' well-being? I am not sure where to begin! I will start by saying that we love Dr. Ahdoot and everything that he has done for us. I came to Dr. Ahdoot after a bad experience with another OB. We had also experienced a few early losses unfortunately, Dr. Ahdoot was always so encouraging, positive, told us not to give up and that having a baby could definitely happen for us. Finally it was our time and we welcomed our baby girl, Luna on March 25, 2019. I was being closely monitored my entire pregnancy due to having elevated blood pressure before I was pregnant. I had a smooth pregnancy, blood pressure was good through it and really had no issues. At 37 weeks Dr. Ahdoot sent me out to get some bloodwork done and the results came back with elevated liver enzymes, he called me on a Friday and told me we had to induce over the weekend, obviously this was not part of our plan to say the least. We checked into Hoag the next day and started the induction process, it was a slow process for me and finally got to 10cm almost 30 hours later, started pushing and pushed for 3 hours, I had spiked a fever and the baby wasn't responding well and there was ZERO movement. At this point I was exhausted and we were talking about possibly undergoing a C-section which I really did not want to do but at the point I was so tired I felt like I had no other choice. Dr. Ahdoot came in and said "you don't want a C-section right? we are not doing a c-section let's get this baby out, you can do this!". He got to work and told us our baby girl had the umbilical cord wrapped around her arm but 15 minutes later she was born! We are really grateful for everything Dr. Ahdoot has done for us! He is very knowledgeable and straight forward. I know some people can be put off by him sometimes because he doesn't sugarcoat things but he is just telling you the truth and being real about it all and I appreciate that. Once you get to know him you will appreciate that and his humor! (he is pretty funny Lol) I am thankful for Dr. Ahdoot and that he was our doctor through it all. Can't wait to go back and have Dr. Ahdoot hopefully deliver our 2nd baby in the future! Lastly, I can't forget to give a shoutout to his wonderful staff especially Claudia. I read the reviews about Dr. Ahdoot prior to him becoming my wife's OBGYN and was hesitant at first, however, my wife and I went with our gut instinct and chose to have her under his care. Dr. Ahdoot knows what he is doing and his experience and knowledge shows (especially if you are willing to ask questions). My wife was a high-risk case, however, we felt at ease throughout the process as he was able explain situations that arose as well as provide solutions for them. I have been into another gynecologist and She was scared me to death that I have to remove my cervix, but when I went to Dr Ahdoot he was the one that did the full colposcopy again as well as biopsy and he said u don't need any surgeries but we have to do followup exam every 6 months. I've been putting off writing this review because it makes me emotional to think about all that Dr. Ahdoot has done for my family. I started seeing him a year and a half ago with the express interest in starting a family. I'm in my late 30's and knew that i would be considered 'high risk' due to a blood clotting issue. He reviewed my extensive medical history and then reassured me that he could help me. And he did. To make my long medical journey short, I have a sleeping baby boy on my chest right now. Dr. Ahdoot managed my medical care (high risk pregnancies are no joke) adeptly and I trusted his recommendations and advice. He can be very direct but he has a great sense of humor as well. I always enjoyed my appointments with him. He put up with my random questions - so many what ifs! When it came time for my labor and delivery, things didn't go as planned and I ended up with a c-section. It's been three and a half weeks and my incision is barely visible and I feel pretty great. I wasn't expecting that, but I give full credit to Dr. Ahdoot. Any review of Dr. Ahdoot would be incomplete without mentioning Claudia, who runs his office. She is a gem. Just want to share my worst experience. My doctor told me to sign "information & consent for vacuum " without explanation. I simply asked him that I need to confirm with my husband and my mother. He forced me to sign my initial and rushed me to give it to him right away. I felt uncomfortable signing without asking my family, so I still told him to give me a day to ask them and bring it back right next day. Out of nowhere, he grabbed the document from me, yelled at me as " You don't trust me???! Then forget about it!!! " and teared paper a part and threw it in a trash can... And slammed the door and left... I was shocked and started shaking. I couldn't believe what's happened. I started anxious and nervous about him delivering my baby. He came back to my room in bad mood and checked my cervix roughly while complaining and yelling at me " you should bring your husband next time, you have to sign the paper in front of me! Ok? You got that!?" and left as slammed door again. He didn't explain anything about how a cervix procedure went. I started crying alone in the room. Nurse came back, gave me a cup of water to calm me down. I couldn't put up with his performance so called my husband during this time to come to talk to him. As soon as I told doctor that my husband is on his way, he quickly picked teared paper up from trash can and hid it to different room. Once my husband came in, he explained what the vacuum process would be (literally) for the first time. He was supposed to explain what it is first and shouldn't rush me to sign in few minuets. He had no patience and rushed me to sign it as quickly as possible. Since my body was in intense because I was very nervous, my body resisted his cervix procedure and caused clumpy pain. I was bleeding for next 4 days with pain but I still didn't want to go back to see him. I had to switch to another doctor so I called insurance company and new doctors but 35 weeks was too close to the due day to transfer everything. The next day he called me twice but I didn't want to answer because I was still upset and still didn't want him to deliver my baby even though he apologized to me after my husband talked to him. I wanted to find someone else that I can trust and rely on from bottom of my heart. We called different people in the medical fields for a second opinion, they said he shouldn't have touched my cervix during 35 weeks since my first baby was born on 35 weeks and 5 days as premature. It might be causing early delivery or any damage. At last trimester we had to hustle switching doctor, called many people for advice and help. Very disappointing, stressful, unacceptable, and painful experience. I'm thinking to walk in ER once my water break, and request a different doctor as a last resort. Honestly he's a good guy but I felt rushed at my appointment and not heard. I got my blood taken two weeks ago for my hormones and haven't heard from the office at all. The doctor left me a butt call VM of him speaking to another customer for two min, but when I call the office the front staff insists I just was hard of hearing and didn't understand the VM after I repeatedly told them that the whole two min VM is of him having a conversation with another patient. I am eager to know my results and I'm sure it doesn't take two weeks to hear from an office or get blood results back. Also, if I'm telling you the VM had absolutely NO context regarding me and you keep insisting he called and left a VM about my blood work is absolutely ridiculous and I will have your staff listen to the VM next time I come in because gaslighting is not okay or professional. Also, my first ever visit with this doctor I waited in the room for 10 min, the doctor came in and then he got a call one min later that he had to go to the hospital to deliver a baby. TOTALLY FINE, however, he said he would be back in 20 min so I said okay doubt it but I'll stay a little. It took over an hour of me sitting in the room for me to leave and reschedule. The only positive is the doctors assistant , I forgot her name but she should be the doctor because honestly she is an angel and does an amazing job. This review is LONG overdue, but I just HAD to do it!!! I gave a review (a while back on Google) when I was first introduced to Dr. Ahdoot, after having 2 miscarriages. Well unfortunately we experienced our 3rd with Dr Ahdoot, but to make a long story short, we finally gave birth to a very healthy baby boy via c-section I am a 41yr old stage 3 colon cancer surviver who is EXTREMELY BLESSED to be a mom of an almost 2yr old. I had 2 surgeries while pregnant. First one was an appendectomy, and the second was to remove part of my colon, and this was the furthest we had EVER gotten in any of our pregnancies, so to say that we were nervous was an understatement. Dr. Ahdoot was there with us EVERY step of the way. To say that he cares for his patients is an understatement. He might be very straightforward and blunt at times, but I can honestly say that it is all out of concern and the love that he has for what he does. The icing on the cake (as if the above wasn't enough) is that I don't even have a scar from the c-section, which was the absolute least of my worries. It was just a shockingly pleasant surprise. After extensive research, I finally settled on Dr. Morris Ahdoot as my OBGYN and delivering physician. It took awhile because there doesn't seem to be a lot of extensive reviews online. I found Dr. Ahdoot through a few reviews on Citysearch and though I would have liked more info, I decided to take a risk by checking him out. His office is relatively close to me too, which was a definite plus! Some criteria I looked for in a doc: - A Private Practice (as opposed to big group places like "Doctors of Women") - reason being that in general, I've found that privately owned practices provide more intimate, personal care and one-on-one attention vs. the crazy, rushed feel of larger group practices. - Solid Credentials/Background - Located in South Orange County - Good reviews Though I originally wanted a female OBGYN, I was willing to compromise on that and in the end, Dr. Ahdoot turned out to be a great fit. He just moved into a brand new office off Sand Canyon by the 5 freeway. The front receptionists are always so nice and helpful. As for Dr. Ahdoot, he is personable, gentle, and easy to talk to. Other things you might like to know: - I never have to wait longer than 5 minutes to meet with him. - He delivers at Hoag or Saddleback Memorial. I'm choosing to have my baby delivered at Hoag, one of the most reputable hospitals in the country! - He always has a female assistant in the room with him when he's doing a breast exam or pap smear. I'm sure this is also for legal reasons, but it does make me feel more comfortable. Hmm, that's all I can think of for now. I did not have a good experience with Dr. Ahdoot. I came in for a pregnancy test which costs 80 bucks and only less than 5 minutes. Neither him nor his assistant seemed to give me any explanation for anything. I had to find out the lab results online and when the doctor finally called after 2 weeks, it was only 5 second phone call and then he hung up. Very unprofessonial, I have had two other OB-gyns for a previous pregnancy, and at least they took time on my care. Doctors are for healing, not for just treating. Have you noticed a few things about the reviews about this guy? The 1 stars all seem to be legitimate complaints. I would say 75-80% of the 5 stars seem to be fake. They mostly have horrible grammar. They are very short and offer no value other than LOL's "!" and "he's the best." So a little about me. I am a father of 2 great boys. Both were delivered by Dr. Stadler in Mission Viejo. We truly love that man. He is a kind man and has a wonderful gentle soul. He would spend an hour with you if that is what you required. We chose not to go that route this time because he is getting up there in age and wanted to try someone closer to home. /Begin Rant Wow was the biggest mistake ever. I was there with my better half. We went through the routine and then he did an intervaginal ultrasound. He said mam please empty your bladder. My better half relieved herself rather quickly because her bladder had nothing in it. Then he went for a 2nd chance. He found she had a few fibroids and a Cyst he mistook for a full bladder. I figure everyone is human and maybe his 1st expertise is not being an ultrasound tech. He then told my better half to get an immediate follow up at a different ultrasound place the same day because he couldn't locate the fetus due to the fibroids and cyst. And we were told to get immediate blood work. Sounded legit. My better half dropped me at the house and went to get squeezed in at an ultrasound place and get bloodwork. That ultrasound tech mentioned no fetal heart rate was found and the fetus looked like water. Well then we had a tough weekend due to us thinking we were going to lose the baby. /Begin drama FF 3 days and my better half gets on the phone and is berated by this male chauvinist pig. He tells my my better half "are you stupid? Why did you get an ultrasound I told you to wait." My lady was like me and my better half were both standing there in front of you when you said get it done and tell them its a RUSH. He proceeded to argue more with her on the phone. Sir, I have a photographic memory and i can tell you with a 100% certainty you said get an ultrasound today. He then followed up on the call with "mam your blood levels look fine and baby is good." Right when my better half was thanking him for the good news after he berated her; he hung up on her. Seriously. If wasn't busy with work I definitely would have been in his office in his face belittling him like he did my better half. Now my lady is in an emotional wreck because the ultrasound tech said no dice and this guy through his teeth said the fetus was fine /End Drama I can appreciate he is from Iran and an immigrant as his staff has said in his defense in many apologetic rebuttals. However women in that area are currently treated like 2nd class citizens. I can't imagine he thinks that backwards. Women are our most important national asset. I just can't wrap my head around why someone that would spend 12+ years training to be an OB/GYN and end up with zero people skills; especially with women patients. If you don't like women pick a profession where you don't have to deal with them. Sir you need to take a long vacation and chill out. Look how many real 1 start reviews you have. Don't do it!! I only write reviews when I love a place or hate a place. I know hate is a strong word... so really dislike. First the place overcharged me for my copay. I told them my copay wasn't that amount and they told me it was and still charged me higher. Finally I spoke with my insurance company who let me know they were overcharging me. It took 2 months of hassling them and their so called billing department for the refund. Then, the doctor. I don't like to write negative reviews about people but this is hard. He doesn't have people skills and dang near scared the crap out of me regarding some some medical concerns I was having. He then told me I had one option, which was very invasive. I was scared to death for 3 weeks waiting on the results. I since went to another doctor where they are kinder and empathic and have helped me so much!! They also gave me many different options and less invasive options as well! I'm so happy I trusted my gut on this one. I get the vibe he doesn't really care about his patients and he's in it for the money! Looking for a great Doctor. Check out Pacific Women's Health!! They are amazing. read more
