We had an absolutely exceptional experience with Dr. Morris Ahdoot, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very beginning, everything was incredibly easy and stress-free. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst medical experiences I've ever had. As a new patient, I arrived early, completed what felt like seven different intake forms with my full medical history, and expected my first appointment to include at least a basic introduction and conversation with the doctor. Instead, Dr. Ahdoot walked into the room, barely acknowledged me, and immediately told me his assistant would be asking me questions. There was no attempt to introduce himself, build rapport, or make me feel comfortable. The assistant then spent a long time asking me dozens of questions that I had literally just answered on all of the intake paperwork. After waiting again, Dr. Ahdoot returned and proceeded to ask many of the exact same questions his assistant had already asked me. The entire visit felt disorganized, repetitive, and poorly communicated. During my breast exam, a comment was made about my breasts being asymmetrical, despite it not being presented as a medical concern. It felt unnecessary and left me feeling even more self-conscious. The pelvic exam was the worst part. I received virtually no warning before the speculum was inserted. Every gynecologist I've seen before has explained what they were about to do or warned me that I would feel pressure. This experience felt abrupt and uncomfortable, leaving me feeling more like a procedure than a patient. Neither the assistant nor Dr. Ahdoot could locate my IUD strings. After checking, he told me that either my IUD was probably still in place because I wasn't having periods, or I "might be pregnant." Hearing that so casually, without any explanation or reassurance, was incredibly unsettling. When I said I didn't believe pregnancy was possible, I felt dismissed rather than listened to. He literally rolled his eyes at me. I had also come hoping to have my IUD replaced, but I was simply told that it couldn't be done that day because there was a process and that I would need imaging before returning. I completely understand that there are medical protocols, but the way this was communicated lacked empathy or explanation. The appointment ended just as abruptly as it began. Dr. Ahdoot walked out without saying goodbye, asking if I had questions, explaining next steps in detail, or even acknowledging me as a patient. The assistant simply told me to get dressed. I sat in my car afterward crying because I felt dismissed, violated, unheard, and completely uncared for. A gynecologist is someone you trust with extremely personal and vulnerable aspects of your health. As a first-time patient, I expected professionalism, communication, compassion, and respect. For others viewing this review - if this office owes you money, they will use every redirection/delaying tactic possible to delay the refund. Don't let them stall you, fight for your rights. ORIGINAL: I am giving two stars only because the physicians and medical staff are truly wonderful. If I were rating the medical care alone, it would be five stars. However, the billing department is a completely different story. This office required a prepayment for services that my insurance (Anthem PPO) later confirmed were fully covered. According to my Explanation of Benefits (EOB), I have zero patient responsibility. Despite this, the billing office has refused to issue a refund for over three months, claiming they are waiting for insurance payments--which is not the patient's responsibility once the claim is processed. At the time of collection, when I stated I've met my deductible for the year, they simply said to call after my delivery. Now I have spent months calling and leaving messages, only to be met with excuses or, more often, no answer at all. Chasing a justified refund while navigating postpartum recovery and caring for a newborn and a toddler has been incredibly stressful and exhausting. It is disappointing that the high quality of care provided by the doctors is so deeply undermined by an unprofessional and unresponsive billing department. I first met Dr. Ahdoot when I was seven months pregnant. I decided to change doctors for personal reasons and began searching for an OB-GYN in Irvine. I spent several days researching different doctors and reading countless reviews. After everything I found, I had a strong feeling that Dr. Ahdoot was the right doctor to help me through the rest of my pregnancy. At the time, I was already seven months pregnant and had a 6 cm fibroid, which made my pregnancy more complicated. I called his office and scheduled an appointment, and my husband and I went in hoping he would be willing to accept me as a patient so late in my pregnancy. Dr. Ahdoot took the time to collect and carefully review my entire medical history before accepting me as his patient. I will always be grateful to him for taking care of my baby and me during those final months of pregnancy. One of the things I appreciated most was how patient and understanding he was with me, especially because Spanish is my first language and English is my second language. At every appointment, he was attentive, genuinely interested in how I was feeling, and always gave me the opportunity to ask questions and talk about any concerns I had. Thank you for your response. I understand that the physician-patient relationship was terminated previously and that you believe the process complied with your office policies. My concern, however, is not the termination itself. My concern is what happened when I contacted your office recently because I was experiencing a new gynecologic problem with pain. Your staff initially scheduled me for an appointment within two days. After reviewing my record, I was informed that the appointment would not be honored because I had been dismissed from the practice in the past. At that time, I no longer had a primary care physician because my previous physician had retired, and obtaining an appointment with a new gynecologist required several weeks. As a result, I was left without timely access to specialty care while experiencing ongoing symptoms. I fully recognize a patient's right to accept or decline a recommended procedure, just as physicians have the right to establish their professional boundaries. Dr. Ahdoot delivered my son in November, 2025, and I truly believe his knowledge, confidence, and willingness to advocate for what was medically right may have saved my baby's life. During my pregnancy there was a point when the head of the high-risk department at Hoag recommended keeping my baby in longer. Dr. Ahdoot carefully evaluated my situation and ultimately trusted his medical judgment that it was safer for my baby to be delivered. When I was admitted, it turned out my amniotic fluid was extremely low and my baby was on the cord and briefly went into distress. Because of Dr. Ahdoot's decision and the incredible team around him, my son was born healthy, safe, and perfect with no injuries or complications. I will always be grateful that he trusted his expertise and stood firm in doing what he believed was best. From my very first appointment, Dr. Ahdoot was incredibly patient, reassuring, and knowledgeable. I asked countless questions throughout my pregnancy and had many moments of anxiety, but he always took the time to explain everything clearly and thoughtfully. VERY disappointing experience.They will force you to visit as many time as they can. 1. The front desk staff were not professional and had a poor attitude. I had previously completed an ultrasound and simply asked for my results. The receptionist told me that I would have to schedule and pay for another office visit; otherwise, they would not provide my results. As a patient, I was surprised by this response. I believe patients have the right to access their own medical test results. Requiring another appointment just to receive the results felt unreasonable. 2. In addition, during my first visit, I have waited for 1.5 hours. Someone told me that the doctor went to an other hospital for labor deliver. 3. Also by the end of the visit that day, the office gave me five different business cards for various services. I started working with Dr. Ahdoot in 2017 when I began exploring IVF, and from the very beginning, I knew I was in the best hands. Dr. Ahdoot is incredibly kind, empathetic, and truly invested in the well-being of his patients--physically, mentally, and emotionally. As we began the IVF process, he went above and beyond to make sure I was fully prepared. During one of my early examinations, Dr. Ahdoot discovered a cyst. At the time, I didn't realize how common cysts were in women, but Dr. Ahdoot took the time to thoroughly educate and reassure me. Unfortunately, my cyst showed elevated CA-125 levels, which can be a marker for cancer. This doctor is the worst OB/GYN you could choose. If you trust him, you're doing a huge disservice to both yourself and your baby. He is completely irresponsible and dishonest, and does not care about patients or their situations. I'll share my personal experience and you can judge for yourself. From the beginning of my pregnancy, I was his patient. I had a completely normal, healthy pregnancy with no complications. But every time I went to his office for a checkup and asked questions, I never got clear or helpful answers. He always had a bad attitude, and his rude tone made me feel stressed every single time. I literally had to look up answers to my pregnancy questions on ChatGPT because I couldn't get proper guidance from my own doctor. At one point, he told me I needed to take prenatal vitamins. When I asked him to write a prescription, he rudely said, "Just go buy it over the counter." I ended up calling my primary care doctor, and they wrote the prescription for me and even said it was actually my OBGYN's responsibility to do that since he was the one who recommended it during pregnancy. My due date was January 5. When I was 37 weeks pregnant and went in for a routine visit, I asked him directly: since my due date was during the New Year holidays, would he be traveling or unavailable? He told me not to worry and said he had no holiday plans. But in reality, he was out of town from before Christmas to January 5. On January 1, when I went to the hospital in labor, I found out he was on vacation. I had to go through a very stressful and difficult delivery without my own doctor!!!! Three days after giving birth, I went to his office to talk to him. He told me to go see the doctor who delivered my baby instead and refused to examine me or check on my condition. After I confronted him about his lack of responsibility, he suddenly started sending written and phone follow-ups, clearly just to protect himself from any future complaints. Then, six weeks later, when I went in for my scheduled postpartum checkup, I was told that the doctor had terminated me as a patient!!! You guess why? Yeah! He is extremely irresponsible, careless about his patients' well-being, unprofessional, and very rude. If you want a normal, low-stress birth experience, stay away from this office and this doctor. read more

I had an experience with Dr. Morris Ahdoot in fall of fall of 2024 that was deeply unsettling. I was his patient for a while because I had just moved home from college and needed a gynecologist in OC. I went to him and asked to be put on birth control for my acne and when I asked him if it would have any negative side effects, he just said no and that it would not affect my breasts, which I thought was strange for him to say but I ignored my discomfort. He also made a couple of comments insisting I remove my non-hormonal iud even though he had explicitly confirmed there would be no negative interaction with the birth control. I ended up scheduling a Pap smear with him, as I was 21 and had never had one before. It was a terrible experience. for one thing, he never told me that he was going to conduct a breast exam, or asked for permission to do so, and he knew I had never had a Pap smear before. He just pulled down my gown without telling me and exposed my breasts. He began to feel them and cup them, I was very confused because I had never been informed or consented to this. Then he proceeded to make an aesthetic comment about them, he pointed out to me one that one was bigger than the other. Not as any medical concern. Just a comment on appearance. He asked me if I had noticed that before. By the way, I haven't, because the difference is so slight, and nearly every woman's breasts are uneven, and he should know that. I was very uncomfortable. He proceeded to ask me extremely tactlessly about my sexual history, "were any of your partners bad?", shamed me about my sexual history, and went on to ask me very invasive questions, such as to provide the exact amount of encounters in my life of unprotected sex I have had. I indicated I had been sexually assaulted and he did not stop asking/making these sorts of comments. Unfortunately, I had one more appointment with him because I was naive and did not have much experience with gynecologists. In this appointment, I was given a different gown, one that was only meant to be strewn across the pelvic area, and I struggled to put it over my chest, not understanding it was only for my lap. He did not knock when he would enter the room, knowing I was in there changing, and when he entered, I was still in the process of trying to figure out how to get the gown over my chest. He saw me struggling to get it on and got very close to me, seemingly trying to help me put it on before the supervising nurse (?) in the room mentioned that it was just for my pelvic area. He also made my abnormal Pap smear result seem like it was a big deal even though I tested negative for hpv, every gynecologist that I've been to in the past year has expressed very little concern about it, and the result has improved in the past year. It again was only the supervising nurse in the room during that appointment that reassured me. If you are looking for the best OBGYN in CA, Dr. Ahdoot is the expert of all experts in his field and I trust him with my life. I have been seeing Dr. Ahdoot for 4 years now and always make sure that if I ever switch insurances, that I am covered under him. Dr. Ahdoot saved my life twice after I experienced two ectopic pregnancies that required emergency surgeries. For one of those surgeries, I had switched insurances and was seeing a different OBGYN in San Diego County because my husband and I moved. The treatment plan recommended by this new OBGYN did not work for my first ectopic pregnancy but assured me it would work. I felt a strong feeling that I needed to reach out to Dr. Ahdoot for a second opinion and if I had continued with the treatment suggested by the San Diego OBGYN, I wouldn't be alive. The night I called Dr. Ahdoot for a second opinion, I was in surgery within 8 hours. He is a terrible doctor. Very cold and lacking in compassion. RUN, don't walk, away from Dr. Morris Ahdoot. He first began saying I may need a C-section at about 7 months because my baby wasn't head down yet, even though the baby doesn't even have to be head down at that point. Every visit c-section was brought up. When I was at my last visit he told me put me on the monitor and told me I was in labor and sent me to the hospital. I couldn't even feel the contractions that he saw on the monitor. I was in early labor and should have just gone home to let the labor naturally progress but since it was my first child and he was a Dr I made the mistake of trusting him. He had them immediately put me on pitocin. My mistake was trusting him at all! My body did not respond well to any of it. I remember him not explaining anything, very roughly breaking my water and just walking out. Even the nurses were embarrassed by him and his conduct. I labored for so long and then pushed for a while. Still he was mentioning c-section the whole time. Again he pressed for a c-section but at that point I didn't trust him at all and asked for a second opinion. He told me "you're a bad mother to your baby" and stormed out. Thankfully the Dr who came in and gave me the second opinion was kind and compassionate (Dr Dirocco) and explained everything and we went along with the C-section. But I see now that my whole labor was handled improperly by Dr Ahdoot. Do not go to him unless you don't mind being treated like garbage from this arrogant jerk. He's going to say that he can't find my name as a patient. It was a long time ago but clearly this horrible bedside manor and experience is a clear memory for me still. I'm so thankful Dr Dirocco was there that day and looked out for me and my baby. Dr. Morris Ahdoot didn't even come check on me after the baby was born or the next day. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Pick a different Dr is the best advice I can give. read more

Hello . I wanted to share my experience as a patient of dr. Morris ahdoot . I found him to be an extremely talented and compassionate surgeon. He immediately diagnosed my disease and when he saw how much pain i was in , moved his schedule to make time for my surgery on the very same day . The management honestly couldn't have gone any better . I feel so blessed to be in the hands of such a wonderful surgeon, his attitude and calmness all throughout made me feel totally secure , and i felt i could really trust in him in every step of the way. If you have other choices, DO NOT go to this doctor, he is the worst one we ever seen. All the five-star reviews seem not real, spend a minute to read the one-star reviews, if there is Zero-star option, I will choose it. He has no manner to patient, easily out-of-patience when ask him questions, he said" I don't know, I am not God", we know you are not God, but you are a doctor, answer patient's question is doctor's responsibility. Also we highly doubt his expertise, he asked a 70-yr old lady to do MRI and threatened she is under high risk, very rude. Thank God we visited another specialist, he said a 3mm pulp is nothing to worry, no need to have MRI, only performed biopsy, and everything looks fine, prescribed cream. Again, Dr Morris Abdoot is a horrible one, this is why he is still accepting new customers. Bypass this one if you have other choices. read more
