Had a wonderful waterfront meal at this small restaurant with great food. We were in the area to visit the flower fields at Goldpetal Farm and were happy to find a nearby seafood place. Since we had our dog with us , we had to sit outside and it was a super hot day. The blue cover on the back deck let through too much Sun but the waitress changed our food to take out boxes and we sat at the picnic table under the large pin oak overlooking the water and was cooler there. Enjoyed watching the osprey's and geese on the creek. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We got the fried catfish sandwich with greens and the broiled crab cake sandwich with no filler. Yum! Best crab cake I've ever had- and I am very picky. These are fresh back fin like they've just been picked. Gorgeous coleslaw and amazing French fries w lots of tartar sauce. The service was excellent and friendly. We loved sitting on the deck with a family on a boat who pulled in for lunch. Delightful place. Will come back. read more

When driving down the long country roads to get to this location you think "am I lost?" Then you get there and it is small odd place that is definitely going to be an experience. Which is true and the wait staff is great, eating on the water is fantastic, and the food is seriously amazing. Some of the best food seafood I have had. This restaurant is quaint. Live music was nice but a little too loud for the proximity to patrons. The crab dip pretzel appetizer was good. The honey hot chicken is a sandwich, not an entree. We ate at Morris Point last night (8/5/23). The food is very, very awful. Let me preface this by saying that my husband constantly tells me I eat way too much salt. I like salt; but the (tiny) crab cake was so salty I could only pick at it. The steamed shrimp was also horribly salty. I could only choke down one. I was wishing for a glass to rinse the shrimp in so that it would be edible. The mashed potatoes were instant mashed potatoes. Yuck! The most egregious thing on my plate was the apparently frozen fish. It had a thick, tough, overcooked batter coating with little dried up shreds of fish inside. It was hard to bite into. The service was slow, but we didn't mind because the view was gorgeous. I'm shocked at how expensive that inedible meal was. I can't believe they had the nerve to serve such disgusting food. Lovely setting. Got a corner table next to two large window overlooking Canoe Neck Creek. They also have a patio dining on the deck. Family run business with great service. Very friendly and food is good. I had a clam pot with linguini. They gave me a lot of fresh clams and the linguini was done perfectly and very flavorable. The location is remote, but worth the drive. Small with an excellent water front view. Seating on the dock is available. I had blacken catfish, which was spicy and flavorful. My sides we're green beans and salad. Beans were tasty and the salad was very fresh! Also ordered Cioppino (special menu option)which is; lobster tail, mussels, shrimp, clams, scallops and fish. It was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Cream of crab was the best I had in a lot my while. Staff was friendly and courteous. Tables we're a little small, but manageable. This is a cute little place on the water in rural southern Maryland and it looks the part with all the charm. The staff was incredibly welcoming when we entered and attentive and pleasant throughout the meal. The view from the outside seating is just gorgeous and luckily the food matches. Until last night I would have sworn Jerry's in Prince Frederick had the best crab cake around but the spice on the crab cake was so good and the cook crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside was just perfect for those who like a little heat. We ordered drinks - the Peach by the Sea and Peach Margarita were a great twist for a summer drink. Everyone ordered something different and each dish was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and seasoned sea food! We all left full and happy. Everyone working there cared about the food that was being served. The details were evident. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We happened to be in the area and started looking through Google and Yelp to find a place to eat dinner. We were pleasantly surprised at this little out of the way restaurant. We were seated inside with beautiful water views. A gentleman was playing his guitar providing a nice background. With all this, my wife and I could carry on a nice conversation with having to stain ourselves to hear what the other was saying. I had broiled rockfish stuffed with crab. It was delicious. My wife had shrimp stuffed with crab which she was very happy with. The staff as well as the clientele were very nice. Seriously the most tiny restaurant I've ever been in. The kitchen is mostly open and looks a lot like what I could be rockin' at my own house. They make it work, though. Wait staff is... hit and miss. Everyone is friendly, but the food sort of comes when it comes. If you're there with a party of more than three I would say that chances are slim that every one will receive their meal at the same time. They have live music some evenings and vinyl table cloths. I don't think the cutlery matches. They do have real menus and the food is pretty darn good (Except for the scallops. They stunk). They serve alcohol and have out side seating. Try it! read more

Outstanding menu filled with local fish, shrimp and oyster dishes, set waterside on the fish docks that dinner passes through. Well set-up and organized to handle COVID restrictions comfortably. Ate the local crab-stuffed oysters, Maryland crab soup (wife had Cream of Crab soup and said it was yummy), main course of fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried fish & chips (shared) --all wonderfully prepared and fresh! Broiled alternatives were ample and available, but the fried versions just fit the sunny, Indian Summer afternoon by the water. Our side dishes were fresh french fries, collard greens, hush puppies dipped in honey, and a cole slaw that straddled between sweet and vinegar that was delicious! Wife's garden side-salad also hit the spot. We drove to the restaurant, but half the customers tied their boats at the dock and walked three to five steps to their table. We hear Morris Point has a Sunday brunch that we want to try. We WILL return. As mentioned, Morris Point is organized well to manage COVID restrictions and it's a very nice escape from the dreary C-19 shut-in attitude that seems prevalent these days. Truely is a hidden little gem...we never would have even found this place if it wasnt for the article!!! Family owned and worked!!! Owners truely care about customers. We had a stuffed Rockfish FANTASTIC although it came out pink in the center one owner quickly remade this meal and it was FANTASTIC!!! SIDES are even GREAT!!! Food was NOT good. Crab cake was terrible, they didn't have clams, the calamari was probably frozen. Not fresh seafood. Beer was cold! Nice setting on the water, but the owner was ordering the bus boy around, which I thought was pretty rude. The whole time I was trying to choke down the crab cake, the bus boy was hovering over me talking, then told me I was good looking, then told my husband he had good taste, haha. Cozy place, went there New Year's Eve early so it was full- probably nicer in the spring summer months when you can dine on the deck on the water. The food was okay but you'd hope for more flavor for the price. Rock fish for the two of us and a glass of wine was above $100 with the tip. The atmosphere was nice, they had a singer who was doing great. But you could see thru to the kitchen and all I saw was toaster ovens and microwaves. I also saw the guy in the back spray each crab cake with butter flavored Pam after it came out of the toaster oven. This is a great little find! Great little place on the water. The calamari is delicious! I had the fish and chips and it was so good! Their fries were great too! I don't know what breading they use but it is by far one of the best breadings I have ever had. My friends got the shrimp basket and raved over it! The shrimp were great size and butterflied. A charming, family-run business that won us over tonight with a Valentine's dinner to remember. We showed up as they were closing, and not only did they seat us anyway, but Morris Point also had the most impeccable service I can remember from any southern Maryland restaurant. We felt a bit sheepish about keeping them open later than they'd planned, but both the chef and the waitstaff were very gracious and took superb care of us. A few recommendations: the cream of crab soup was spectacular, and the oyster chowder was some of the best my husband has ever had.
