My wife placed an order for 25 yards of pea gravel order or our backyard. We've ordered through Morrison before but my wife and I agree that our recent experience was one of the best. The entire transaction was handled over the phone and online. And man were we pleasantly surprised when the next day Morrison contacted my wife to let her know they could deliver that day! Anyway, Kevin arrives with the first truckload and expertly steers past a set of wooden steps we have near the unloading spot by an inch or less. Not only that--he did it twice when he had to re-angle the truck. That's an experienced, professional truck driver, my friend. Kevin, the super friendly (and educational) delivery driver, was the major reason why this was such a great experience. He followed our unloading instructions so that the pea gravel we ordered was deposited exactly where we wanted it. And to add to it--Kevin suggested rolling the truck back even further to ensure the entire load would stay in place instead of part of it rolling down a hill, which would've been somewhat irksome. Because all the gravel was dumped in one spot it made it easier to transport it over to where we needed to spread it out. We've had a couple of delivery drivers in the past who haven't been as accommodating. Indeed, Kevin proved to be VERY accommodating! The educational part of Kevin's delivery occurred when he gave us a quick lesson in conversion of yards to tons by showing us a conversion card to explain equivalencies. So, ordering was easy, delivery was quick and Kevin the driver is a keeper. You can bet we'll be ordering from them again. read more

I have used Morrison Gravel for many things over the years, from commercial site development to delivery of bark and gravel for my home. Every time they have been on time and have done a great job. My most memorable experience was having them deliver a 2.5 ton rock to be used as part of a water feature. This was not an easy task but the rock was placed perfectly and continues to be the focus of attention to visitors. I highly recommend them for both large and small jobs. Their landscaping stone and block materials are numerous. One would be hard pressed to not find what you are looking for. read more

I ordered 1 1/2" Landscaping Round rock (doubled washed rocks) as illustrated on the screen shot from their website. Instead of receiving nice rocks, I was delivered a pile of rocks that look as if they were out of a construction site. I called the office and I was told they are just slightly dusty because of how busy of the high volume of movement in their yard. The picture shows more than slight dust. They did offer to pick it up and refund me or come and wash the rocks (with my water), which are supposed to be double washed already. I'm on a schedule, making it difficult for me to wait on them. How about providing good service from the beginning? read more

As an small excavation and land prep company, we order from Morrison pretty often. They've always been responsive and easy to work with. Whether they are delivering or we're coming in to pick stuff up, we've never had any problems. They delivered 40 cubic yards of gravel for our last job on a long driveway. The driver, Kevin, was right on time for both deliveries and spread the gravel all along the driveway, making our job a lot easier. They were super nice when we went in, a decent selection of product. We bought four tons and arranged for it to be delivered a few days later which was the first option. The morning of, at 8:15am, within an hour of delivery they called to say they don't have enough rock. I said okay, deliver what you have and just don't charge me for when you get more to deliver. Then she says they don't really have any. I ask why they would sell rock, arrange a delivery, and not have it. I asked why someone didn't ensure they had it when they sold it. She said that they can't hold rock. I said they are not holding it, they sold it, arranged delivery, then didn't have it. She then said that she was not working the day we came in. I pointed out that she is not the sole employee and it is not on her to do a reasonable job all on her own. I asked how long it would take and was told that they would have to call the quarry two days later because today and tomorrow were holidays. Today is not a holiday, tomorrow is. I asked how long it typically takes, she hesitated, I pointed out this can't be the only time she has ordered a refill. She then said that they might not have it. She also said that she orders about twenty tons at a time and because it is specialty rock it doesn't run out quickly. Which only reinforced what I said in the beginning, that when they sold it they needed to make sure they had it. I picked this place because had good reviews but the unprofessional behavior coupled with the "its not my fault" attitude of the female who called really makes me wonder. read more

He listened to me & then made suggestions ranging from best (most expensive) to minimum work & cheapest materials. He brought samples of all materials for me to choose from. He sent a quote detailing all options discussed. I gave him the "go ahead" and he went to work. The job was competed quickly & turned out better than I expected. I had a small project I was working on and needed just a few hundred 2-6" river rock. First, I went to Artisan Stoneworks NW. The cheerless fellow behind the counter looked at me stone-faced (pun intended) when I asked how I might be able to fulfill this order. He basically told me that they don't sell rocks in that small of quantity. Minimum 1/2 yard - way too much for my needs. He didn't offer any alternatives other than I could bring my own bucket and buy gravel for $2.00 per-bucket. I don't recall asking for gravel. Anyway - on the way home, I saw the welcoming sign for Morrison Gravel (also in Port Orchard). I assumed I would get the same treatment, but was I wrong! They have a scale system there, and the young lady at the booth told me that I could load up what I needed and pointed me in the right direction. I pulled up to a hill of nice looking river rock, and hand-loaded my bed with the requisite amount, weighed out, paid my $12.50 and went home and finished my project. Nice to know that Morrison Gravel is close by. They have a great selection of rock and stone...and gravel! Nice people there, too! read more

Great prices! The lowest we've found on this side of The Sound. Very professional and caring. As a DIY, they answer all our questions and help us make informed decisions about our landscaping needs. To date, we've purchased 2.5 pallets of flagstone to complete a patio and walkways. Several tons of garden soil, which we love! Our garden has taken off and growing beautifully! Several tons of gravel for our driveway and placement under the flagstone. Several tons of sand for mixing with the garden soil for the raised beds we have the potatoes in, and to help level the flagstone. And several tons of pea gravel for the pathways we are defining in the wooded areas behind our yard. Next spring, we'll be looking at larger boulders to line a culvert. This is the only place you need to go for all of your landscaping needs! read more

We live on long dirt road shared with 3 other houses. The road developed horrible ruts, humps and puddles. Morrison came out and gave us a quote and let us all pay separately. Most importnantly, he did an excellent job grading and repaving (in crushed asphalt) the road. read more

We have ordered topsoil and rocks from Morrison Gravel for many years and have always been pleased with their service and their products. Recently we had a 4-yard load of rainbow rock delivered. When we got to the center of the pile we discovered that there was a lot of dirt and gravel mixed in with the rock. I took a few photos and emailed Morrison. I received a prompt reply with an apology and an offer of a credit or a free delivery of replacement rock. We opted for the rock and Morrison sent a truck to Montana to replenish their supply and promptly delivered 2 yards to our house. That was more than generous. It's hard to tell how much of the rock that we ordered was affected by an excess of dirt and gravel but I am quite sure that Morrison more than replaced it. GREAT customer service. Great customer service. Just moved to Bremerton area. Was looking for crushed gravel for bedding for large storage containers. Lady figured out amount I needed and gave me price, then said the trucks hold more than we figured, if you can use a couple more yards somewhere, the price is only a few dollars more. I was impressed and we definitely needed more gravel for another project so got needed gravel for both at same time. Truck driver was terrific, good driver, was able to back into needed area and spread the gravel so only a few shovelfuls and little raking needed to be done. He was friendly, yet very professional. Morrison Gravel just delivered a dump load of gravel to our home. Not only were they prompt but it was spread out so evenly over our drive we hardly had to spread it out.
