So this is my final verdict with Morton's Pizza: -The pizza is good, as long as it is hot and fresh, the moment it goes cold throw it in the trash...no amount of time in the microwave can revive it! -Breakfast is my #1 preferred meal here. I pre- ordered from Mortons for 830pm. They delivered the food at 8pm (I wasn't home) They claimed they would re cook the order. They didn't. They must have taken the food back,, walked around with it for a half hour and returned me a HOT Greek wrap leaking dressing through the paper plate, and refused a refund unless I gave them the food back. Which is very much a board of Health violation especially due to Covid and at this point wasn't sure they wouldn't give me an actual fresh wrap since they didn't. Funny thing. I've lived in and out of Boston/Dorchester for almost all my life and never ate here before. Was in the area so i stopped in and ordered a pizza and a steak and cheese bomb. My sausage was undercooked and cut into these weird slices making it seem like more than what it is ( just split it half we already know it's only 1 sausage link) the pancakes although they looked very pretty were extremely thick. Honestly my family is a pizza familt so we order once a week especially on those days where Mama and Dada are tired. When calling and getting delivery it is always a pleasant experience. My only downfall is we live so close but sometimes it's a little hectic so we have to order delivery and the charge of $4 for two doors down is mind blowing to me but you know that's just me. I used to love this place because it's close by and i like the breakfast sandwiches and the mortons steak and cheese but the service is so bad I don't think i will be spending anymore money here. As a wings fan, I can say they have the best wings compared to all other pizza shops I've ordered from. Only other wings I can think of that give these competition, are those from Tony C's by at the Seaport area. Their sub's always arrive neatly and warm. I love their meatball parm sub. Wow, Norton, you all *really* don't care about quality. I understand, like most pizza/deli places, you get your ingredients as low quality and cheaply as possible. Fine. But unlike Stalex, who is exactly the same delivery/minimum/and price range, their preparation side of quality matters to them. If you had any employees or management that had any sense of pride in the product you attach your name to - it would not be acceptable to sell burnt-through sausage links (and you know that s**t was burnt when you took it off the grill let alone to serve it to a customer) along side a burnt custom item (chocolate chip banana pancakes) and then only refund the custom item when the more agregious offense is the burnt item that you make all day every day. If you had pride in your business you wouldn't serve such uncared for preparation, with such unaccomedating customer service. And then on top of only refunding 6 out of 21 dollars (oh, let's not forget that the tip, delivery fee, restaurant fees and tax weren't adjusted) but when the delivery driver came to pickup Morton's prideless garbage, he said "give me my food back" as if it was some punishment for me not to eat their inferior cooking. No apologies, no excuse like a new guy in the kitchen, just a reason why he needs his food back. Well, have fun with that. This was my second time ordering from here. The first time I ordered breakfast and it was so bland I threw most of it away. This time I ordered steak and cheese sub and a wing ding dinner plate. The sub is OK. The meat doesn't really seemed seasoned. I eat pickles on mine (I know, weird) but most of the flavor came from the pickles. The wing ding was OK. A little on the over done side. The fried fish is really good, and portions are awesome. However, I've ordered the fried shrimp and it never seems fresh. The steak tip quesadilla is amazing also! A few pros and a few cons. I think the cons outweigh the pros though sadly. We ordered delivery through grub hub and got a large meat lovers pizza which was SO greasy and just not good. The cold pizza the next day was not how cold pizza should taste. We had to throw 1/2 of the pizza away. Another con is we saw the subs were good so we ordered an Italian sub.. nothing came on it except for the meat and cheese? There was nothing that said it didn't come with or without anything but also nowhere to write anything in? It would have been good but it wasn't because of this, so make sure you add lettuce tomato etc. pro was the calzone and chicken wrap were both very good. I hate that I even have to write this but I have to, they could of killed us and had no empathy. Let me say I order from this place almost everyday, I've spent thousands here, the food is good when it's right. We ordered chicken broccoli ziti, as I start eating after sharing out my sons portion and husbands, I find a big shrimp in the middle, I immediately run over to my sons food to take it away as we both have severe shellfish allergies which we have epipens for. I grab the epipens and antihistamine in anticipation that we will both have reactions. I call the resturant and explain that as it is noted we have a allergy. Lucinda put me on hold a few times and then offers send a new pasta "if we send back the first one". Nope, no apology, no are you all ok nothing. I asked to speak to a manager, none was available. After hanging up in disgust, I go to put my husbands portions back in the pan and another big ass shrimp is sitting there. Now my husband is pissed, calls back same energy. Carlos (manager) gets on and he tells us that it's the policy to ask for the food back (common for I don't trust black people scamming our food). I said it's insulting that no one has apologized or asked us we are ok however keep asking about getting the food back that can kill us. No apology still. My husband goes down there and is met with the same lack of empathy. A half ass apology after we both screamed about this being a serious issue being down played. What's crazy is we are advocating about being loyal customers and trying to make these people with a allergy sign in the resturant see how deadly this could have been. Having to stick your 2 year old child with an epipen is not easy or fun to do. My journey with this resturant is over. I'm disgusted and very taken back by the lack of empathy. I asked for a refund since one was not offered and told it takes 24 hours. Let's see if it happens. I'll be going to the BBB if not. If you have allergies use caution with this place. Ps. We tried them for the first time on 6/5/21. Ordered the fish and fries plate. I could tell everything was frozen beforehand as there was no seasoning nor flavor in the fish and the fries were very dry. Hot fish & fries laid on top of tartar sauce and coleslaw creates a very unpleasant texture.
