To tell everything that has transpired from when THIS COMPANY received my brother-n-law would take too long. In short this company mailed him off to be sent to Texas like a letter to a friend. His cremations were put in a PRIORITY box instead of next day shipping. It took us 3 WEEKS TO RECEIVE HIS REMAINS! The post office has certain requirements for remains of a loved one and this company just placed him in a box and added STAMPS in the value of 26.20 on it. His remains were misplaced due to THIS company not following the correct procedures in shipping. THIS box was tossed around like any other postage. How does a person live life and pass away and not be handled with CARE? OUR loved one was not just another package but a human being. He will be missed by his family and friends. It's sad to see how a business who does this as A BUSINESS can't take the proper steps to assure the family that he will be taken care of to help ease their heartache. This experience has not helped us heal but give us the worst anxiety to be added to our grief. read more

Please NEVER use this Mortuary for a loved one! Go anywhere but here~ They mishandled my son, did not allow a viewing and did not return his belongings to us. They have NO RIGHT to make these decisions ! This was MY right as Next of Kin. They think they can play GOD with our son~!! They did us very DIRTY~! They took things away from us that can NEVER be replaced. Like saying Our Goodbyes for 15 minutes~!!! They said I was NOT allowed a viewing because he had an Autopsy. I believed them because I have never done this before. Then after speaking with the Coroner, they said , YES I was supposed to be allowed my request~~~!! It has nothing to do with Money~! I would have gladly paid ~!! Now I question if I even have the correct ashes~!! He answered all my questions and always super friendly and patient. Amazing compassion and superlative customer service. Not only did Mortuary Aid Co. live up to its claims on their website, they far exceeded them, by not charging us for things that they easily could have charged as extras. In addition to cremating my father, we needed to file some extra paperwork so that we could legally inter my mother and father together. J.P. had me authorize his company access to my mothers records so that he could complete the permits, which he did without charging anything extra. I even offered to pay extra. I give them 20 stars! In addition, when my father passed away at home, two young men were at the house within 40 minutes of the call, and offered to place a flag over him as he was carried out since he was a veteran. They were all beyond respectful of the family and my father and I cannot recommend Mortuary Aid Co. highly enough to do them justice. My father suffered from dementia and required a caregiver 24 hours a day. This was a financial drain on the family. Mortuary Aid Co. gave me the price that was listed on their website and did not add ANY additional charges. This was a huge blessing, especially since the other companies add on everything as an extra. Everyone we met through Mortuary Aid Co, were exceptional, beyond respectful, and genuinely kind, and I will recommend them to anyone and everyone who is in need of these types of services.
