Apart from Yuri's help, I have to say her staff was friendly, punctual, and executed the funeral flawlessly.

Although I see…read morethat Cesar Mata received a great review in December 2025, my experience was the contrary in January 2026. His intonation and condolences came across scripted. I do understand that you may need to develop a thick skin in this type of business, but his demeanor came across as "this is just a job" and merely going through the motions. He blamed others for delays and once even acted as if he was upset for a continued delay which I brought to his attention. Due to delays, it felt forced to follow up each step of the way to make sure the process was progressing. Not something I wanted to do while I mourned the loss of my dad. Others small matters was Mr. Mata trying to charge me a cost that had already been paid for in the preneed. Once I asked for the preneed, he miraculously found that it was paid for. He also stated that certain information on the birth certificate did not have to be exact, but close enough. He was referring to deceased complete name, years of residency in the current state, and his parent's correct names. He also said that my dad's complete name may not all fit on the DC. Of course it all fits, and did fit. Why would the name not be important on the DC. Again, i felt his attitude is basically lets get these papers going and move on to the next. Toward the end, I can only assume Mr. Mata chose to have someone else at Neptune assist me with any further inquiries. That was the best decision he made. I began to speak with Alexis who did a wonderful job keeping me informed, and I no longer had to call for status update. She had a kind demeanor and kept me well informed each step of the way until the end of the process. Thank you Alexis. Last but not least, my dad's body had not yet been buried, and Neptune Society relentlessly reached out to make sure my mom had all her plans in order. Need I say more.

We've called multiple phone numbers listed for the funeral home. On one occasion, a man answered, but he was very unprofessional and seemed unwilling or unable to provide basic information. It felt like he didn't want to help, and getting answers was unnecessarily difficult. The funeral home may want to have someone better trained or more knowledgeable handling phone calls, as first impressions and communication are incredibly important during such a sensitive time. We've also left several voicemails and were told by other staff members that someone would call us back, but we never received a single return call. It's especially unfortunate because we wanted to use this funeral home since the cemetery is in Monrovia, making it a convenient option for our family. However, due to the lack of communication and poor customer service, we've decided to look elsewhere. I hope this feedback encourages improvements so that other families receive the support, professionalism, and timely communication they deserve during such a difficult time.

Absolutely everyone we spoke with at Anubis was very considerate and very accommodating. It was the Friday before Memorial Day so it took a while to get to Orange County. They carefully transferred my Mom to their vehicle. They were very responsive to all of our questions and really made the whole process much easier than I thought it would be. We really appreciated that as we were still trying to process our Mom's passing. They're the best! They arranged a meeting point midway between Glendale and where we lived in Orange County to transfer our urns to us. I highly, highly recommend Anubis. They really made a difficult time easier because of their excellent care of our Mom.

After the pickup we were told that a representative would reach out to us the following day so we could start making arrangements. They didn't call till 3 days later even after leaving them multiple messages! Imagine not knowing what's happening to your loved one or where they are located after they died. Our assigned rep only called AFTER I switched to Anubis Cremations and had arrangements for the body to be brought to their facilities. Wesleigh was so easy to work with. She picked up my call right away and took care of everything. She communicated every step of the way. I told her that my uncle who is a priest will be arriving in 2 weeks and we would like for the cremation and memorial service to happen while he was here. She mentioned that it's a very tight schedule but she would try to make it happen. And she 100% delivered!!! Within an hour of my initial call she had my auntie's body arranged for pickup, she sent paperwork to us and the doctor so she could start the process of filing the death certificate. The church where we wanted the memorial service wouldn't let us reserve a time till they had a cremation date. We were able to get the cremation date within a few days. We opted for a private open viewing at the crematory in Van Nuys. The crematory only does night time viewing which worked well for us since our family is busy working during the day. Wesleigh's coworker Jonathan took great care of us at the viewing. The place had a room for up to 15 people where family members could sit with the casket prior to the cremation. They dressed our auntie in her formal barong and jewelry. We were allowed to provide flowers, letters, and mementoes in the cardboard casket. Jonathan gave us sharpies so we could write notes on the casket. There were aslo tissues and an easel for our use. Although the viewing was technically 15 minutes, we were not rushed and were given about 20-25 minutes to do a prayer service and say our goodbyes. And then Jonathan and another employee wheeled her into the crematory. We watched them place her casket in the "oven" and once the door closed we left. They even allowed us to live stream the entire time we were there to our auntie's relatives back in the Philippines. The following day Wesleigh delivered the ashes to the church and she provided the letters and instructions we needed to bring the ashes back to the Philippines. We were also very happy with the urn we ordered from Anubis. It was engraved and had a photo of our auntie. It was perfect. I can't thank Wesleigh and Jonathan enough for providing an outstanding service that was stress-free, efficient, compassionate, and super professional during this difficult time of grief. I whole-heartedly recommend Annubis.

It seems as if everything we talked to her about wasn't executed correctly or at all. They only she did was communicate to the cemetery. My father just passed away i. Mother's Day. A veteran and religious Christian man. They could even provide me with all the correct info for my dad's military honors. I had to search and call 4 different places and people to get my dad's firing volley to find out it was at the veterans cemetery in Riverside. All she had to do is ask if they had availability. Then on the day of our viewing with my dad we were robbed of our personal time with my dad because the sound and tv system wasn't working. They asked me to provide an MP4 video in a usb. We spent 2 hours trying to figure out what to do to pay my dad's memorial video. I then had to buy my own projector and Bluetooth speaker for this. The on-site coordinator/ director didn't know or do anything to help us. He also didn't stop people f coming in to the room for our 1 hour personal time with him. He also took it upon himself to open the floor up for people to speak against our wishes to do things different. He also made me feel weird by asking him to communicate with the cemetery about a gift someone was giving us (flying doves) he said he's never heard of such things. He did nothing for us and the whole thing was jacked up. They don't care. When I communicate this to a manager she sent it to the owners and all they said was they will look into it and the director will get retraining. They robbed us of our special time and this place is a mess!! Don't do it! They just want your money. I've been to other places that are way better!
