The is overpriced and the taste and quality is mediocre at best. I ordered the crab fries and a whiting fish sandwich. The crab fries were soggy and salty. The whiting was a single piece of fish cut into 3 pieces and was underseasoned, AND my bread was stale. The entire experience left much to be desired. The staff was pleasant though. First off the customer service was good, the crabs in the case were small and the crab legs looked great so I said lemme give it a try, now the kicker is that they are $30 a pound which is very pricey!! The lady at the window said they have a special for 4 clusters $50 so u said ok I will take that, they also had 3lbs of shrimp for $50 so I got that as well as the trout platter and a piece of whiting (said it was large). When I got the food it was packaged well and didn't take long to cook I waited in the car as it was too hot on the carry out space. When I got home, the crab legs were good but I only got around 2 clusters, the shrimp were overcooked and not that great, the trout was burnt and cooked horribly tasted like old grease and bad batter. The catfish was small and undercooked and the fries were old not good, the hush puppies were great! I got not even a full dozen baby crabs in my tray. They were so small I could barely get any meat out. I grew tired of trying and gave up. What I did eat was bland and the garlic butter was nonexistent. Go to QuarterDeck in Arlington. For the same price you can get a decent size dozen of blue crabs and they are very well seasoned. Visited this place for the first time today and my ONLY regret is that I didn't find it sooner! The store is bright and clean, the menu has tons of tempting offerings and the staff is incredibly friendly and respectful (which isn't always the case in places like this). We ordered 2 doz live large males and they were HUGE (like bigger than we've EVER seen in DC) and as sweet as candy! The Mo's platter was also delicious! That garlic butter!! Unexpected little seafood joint on the Minnesota Ave strip, SE side-- near a liquor store and something else, nondescript. It's a small mom and pop, store front serving up seafood with love. The Obamas on the wall and the decor was very down home. Butter garlic shrimp! Not de-veined for my enjoyment-- sad face, but the flavor was good. The other seafood ordered was enjoyed by those that could eat non-shellfish, unlike me. The real gem of this place is the customer service, specifically the smiles when you walk through the door. It's a small seafood/carryout spot, but the appearance has nothing to do with the quality of food. I got the fried seafood platter which came with fried shrimp, fries scallops, a crab cake and two sides (wedges and collard greens for me). Each component of the meal was great. The shrimp were fairly large which was convenient for eating. The scallops were fried to perfection and the crab cake was solid. The wedges had a nice batter and the collards were cooked home style. My friend had the garlic crabs which had a very nice garlic seasoning. The customer service was good. Our order was missing some shrimp and before we could get back in the store to tell them it was missing, they already had it steaming. In closing, I'd recommend Moruss Seafood if you need to get your seafood fix. There was a steady stream of customers on a Sunday afternoon, so the food must speak for itself. The menu is fairly extensive and not just limited to seafood, so who knows what type of gems are hidden in there. The seafood is a little pricey depending on what you get, but all seafood is expensive, so they are par for the course. Go check em out. read more

Definitely satisfied the craving- pretty simple, no frills, good portion size, and tasted great. Got delivery through GrubHub and it came faster than expected/estimated. The cheeseburger was also great - definitely get hot peppers on top- and the onion rings are good. Also ordered hush puppies but they were a little dry, not as savory as I would have liked.
