Currently disputing an unauthorized charge on my credit card. Very disappointed in the follow up (or lack there of). Have given my information to several employees and hear the same story, "we're looking into it and we'll have Mo call you," which of course he never does. I don't mind this place. Used to go here frequently and the band (TUB / Texas Unlimited Band) is pretty good. Decently priced beer, large parking lot (get there too late, however, and it's full), and you can still smoke there (if that's your thing). smokey smokey place, so heads up they have pool tables and country bands perform live here on the weekends. there's cover (6-15$ depending on who's performing) and you have to valet because the lot gets packed (another $6) but the drinks are pretty cheap so it balances out I guess. dance floor is on the small side, but it works. some people go HAM after 1 AM and look like they're on molly. read more

This was an impromptu stop one Monday night. It wasn't *too* smokey because the place wasn't crowded. I can see how people can complain about smelling like an ashtray on other nights however. The gentleman hosting karaoke was very nice and personable. We didn't have a bartender serving us, turns out it was a bar back who ended up over serving a number of people including the ones I was with. That's why this establishment is receiving 3 stars. Why was a bar back serving customers, and why isn't customers safety taken into consideration? When you can see someone literally falling over, stumbling, and cannot form a sentence, they should be cut off immediately (long before that really)! The drinks were incredibly strong. I always hear people knocking on this place but I honestly don't think it's that bad. Good music, great drink prices, and friendly staff. I also love that they have a designated smoking area in the back so that everyone doesn't have to smell cigarettes all night. The drinks here are dirt cheap, strong, and they give generous pours. I enjoy karaoke Tuesdays and the DJs are really awesome.

This place use to be great. Now it seems high cover charges and rude staff have left the place empty on the weekends. Sad because it use to be so much fun. There are plenty of newer nicer places in the area now. Katy area is growing so much and maybe they just haven't caught up. I think they have sold out by playing hip hop music a lot of the times. I don't consider this a true country bar anymore. Save your money on a cover charge. There are plenty of places with live music that won't deplete your wallet. IMO they have lost touch with the people who really love county music and what they want. read more

Here for my Stepson's School of Rock performance. We ordered two diet Cokes. Sent them back twice as there was literally no carbonation. We gave up the third time. Ordered cheese sticks for $5.35 --- there were four small, average cheese sticks --- over a dollar each. It's not hard to serve average food and drinks, but this place makes it look impossible. read more

I don't normally go to this place, but if I'm with friends who want country music, this is where we end up. Huge dance floor, really good bands. Mos place is fun if you're looking for strong drinks and you enjoy people watching. Yes there are fights and trashy people...what bar doesn't have that? Whiskey River is smoke free yes who cares it's boring there. Mos is a little expensive with their drinks and cover especially on concert night. I wish they would consider DJ nights only and not just live bands. Most of the time they suck. If it's not The Emotions or Horizon I won't even bother going. They need to let the DJ play better music as well. BIG TIP: If you play a song and NO ONE is on the dance floor during the hip hop songs...switch the song. Don't let it play for the next minute. People say they don't like Mos cuz there's always drama...well it's not the establishments fault..maybe it's the people you hang around. My 1st time coming out to Mo's out in Katy and decided to try out a new place with a group of friends. We had an excellent time and will be returning for sure. Awesome band on stage as well as a nice friendly crowd. Do NOT go to a concert here. I just was there last weekend to see one of my favorite bands and it turned into a nightmare. First, I called to see an idea of what time the band would play. They told me they would be on stage by 10-10:30. They didn t start until 11:35. I would not have drove an hour had I known this before. Second, they sold about 500 too many tickets. SOMEONE CALL THE FIRE MARSHALL. I was stuck standing on broken glass all night and It was so crowded you couldn t even have people come clean the broken beer bottles from the drunks. 60 percent of the people there looked miserable, while the other 40 percent were hammered. Also, you can smoke inside the building. So... I called and asked for a refund. They said no and told me to talk to Mo. I said no worries, I will just leave a honest review online. Have been too Mo's quite a few times but will not be going back! Ladies Night! what a joke, having a friend shoved so hard that she nearly fell, because he was two stepping and apparently needed the entire dance floor. Complained to staff and emailed Mo with no help at all. No one spoke to the guy and he just carried on as if nothing happened. Mo's place is the best place to get out meet with friends and enjoy live country music. Yes it does get crowded, but that is because that Mo's is a place for to have fun. If your looking for Hip-Hop music you need to go to a Hip-Hop bar. This is a place to listen to live COUNTRY MUSIC and have a good time with out the problems. There are very few places to go to and hear good music and dance. Mo is keeping it the same way he has since the day that he opened. I have been going to Mo's for a very long time and I wouldn't change a thing. So if you plan on going to Mo's and expect to hear alot of Hip-Hop music you won't so go to a Hip-Hop bar. read more

This is a country bar? Could have fooled me. Girls in club wear and guys dressed silly. There's a posted dress code because apparently so many fights break out. so uh...leave your tank tops and bandanas as it states haha. They played some country before the bands came on but a lot of outdated and weird club type music. So many fights broke out, Mainly with women. Saw girls throwing their empty bottles and shots at people. Security kicked 3 girls out and stood next to us by stage all night. When we tried to leave we had to wait for the valets to fumble around and find keys, keep in mind we DIDNT valet park....they "valet park" the cars in front of what available parking spots they have. The parking lot can't handle the amount of cars the actual bar can. Also? don't try to get away with parking in adjacent lots, there was a line of tow trucks waiting to cart cars off all night.
