Dilly Tuna Salad Sandwich - Whole

Good food Good service Good location This Mcmenamins has always been a treat to go to. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is located in a strip mall but they have a cool balcony and I've always liked their appetizers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking. They have a small facility to make beer here to.

Absolutely the best food ive had on the coast. Came for my birthday meal and left so happy. The food was amazing. The jojos and the sourdough were the best ive had, coming from a native Oregonian. Clam chower was amazing and it made sense by everyone was leaving with to go cups of their soup. Husband ordered the burger and it wasnt drippy wet. I ordered the steamed clams and they were *gone* before it even cooled down. I will say though, i wish the cooks would make sure every clam still had meat in it before serving. Some of my clams were definitely empty. Service was low but the place was jam packed so we weren't stressing. Everyone behind us had a 20min to 1hour wait! Will be back for more!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Mcmenamins is a staple of the pnw. With their great interior architecture, great decor, and stellar food, brew, and great staff they're generally a good fail safe place to grab a bite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place has the decor and ambiance down. And the staff were friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the service fell way short. My wife and I ordered and then waited a full hour for our food. Her burger was cold and her salad she got, instead of fries, was hot. Good to know the heat lamp works. My fish and chips? Cold fries and cold and rubbery fish. Our side order of Cajun tots. Abysmal. Cold and lacking that Cajun zest. Our server. Absent 99% of our visit there. 0/10 You're at the coast. Don't roll the dice on this place. They're a bunch of other great places to grab a bite.

It's a McMenamins! You know what you are getting into. If you don't - think TGIF, Applebees, Chili's - but more Oregon homemade. Company brewed beer and classic bar food. This spot has some of the best clam chowder I've ever had! I saw someone else saw that and can confirm! The sliders were tasty, but nothing fancy. Fish and chips were just okay, a little overpriced. I would come back for the chowder!! Started is friendly!

Started doing the Mcmenamins Passport a few months ago and have had a blast discovering new locations across Oregon and Washington! The food has improved greatly over the last few years! This location was packed on a Friday evening and the service was a bit slow... but [[HIGHLIGHT]]we weren't in a hurry and just enjoyed a quiet evening on the patio with our pooch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Beware, do not order the cannonbowl of chowder. You will get a huge sourdough bread, not hollow with "barely" a scoop of chowder for almost $17. I spoke with the manager and he said this is the way they do it. Honestly, most places gave you a full bowl of chowder in a hollowed bowl of bread not what we got.. Such a scam!!!! You are basically paying $7 for a piece of bread. You are better off ordering a full bowl of chowder with bread in the side for $11. Never again.

We're finishing our passport journey and it brought us here! As lifelong PNW residents and coastal enthusiasts, we've had our fair share of chowders, and this was EXCELLENT. We were genuinely impressed. McMens awesomeness to be expected.

HAIR IN FOOD I can hardly even look at the picture. Pulled a nappy, disgusting hair out of the chicken burger after cutting it in half, thank god before a bite was taken. The wait was also insanely long to eventually get this hair food. Never going back to this beach townie location.

Finally made it to McMenamins Lighthouse Brewpub! The last time we attempted to eat here, it was really busy and we were told that it would be a 45 minute wait for a table, so we went somewhere else. This time around, we were seated in an instant because it wasn't busy. We got a seat at a booth in the bar area. If it wasn't so chilly outside, we would've sat outside on their patio with their nice fire pit. Families are welcome here but they are usually guided to the upstairs dining room (I witnessed a few families with babies and small children go upstairs during our visit). Once we sat down, we were given a beer menu and a food menu to look at. The silliest, punniest name that I saw on their beer menu was their Julius Squeezer Cream Ale. I didn't notice this until after I ordered my beer, in which I got a Ruby Ale courtesy of Lighthouse Brewery. My boyfriend ordered their Terminator Stout, also from Lighthouse Brewery. The Ruby Ale was very fruity and had a hint of raspberry to it. As I've said in my previous beer reviews before, my boyfriend loves stouts and said that it was very chocolate-y. For food, I ordered their dilly tuna salad sandwich with fries and my boyfriend ordered their lighthouse fish sandwich with tater tots. The dilly tuna salad sandwich was SO good and I'm thinking of having this again next time we visit McMenamins. I tried so hard to finish it but I just couldn't do it. My boyfriend said that he enjoyed his fish sandwich and, unlike me, ended up finishing the entire thing all by himself. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I really want to come back again during our next summer trip to Lincoln City.

First visit. We were seated downstairs. Our booth seats were a bit crumb covered for my liking, but service was attentive and friendly. We ordered happy hour sliders, a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and a slice of peanut butter pie. The salad was great, very flavorful dressing and fresh greens. The sliders were good, yet pretty basic. The pie was rich & really tasty. Pretty good dinner overall, we'd definitely return.

Disappointing lunch @ McMenamins in Lincoln City, OR. We arrived on a rainy Friday afternoon for a decent lunch and were sorely disappointed. While we were acknowledged upon entry, our desire to sit at an open booth in the downstairs bar area was apparently not an option. The host said we could sit at the bar top, which was not appealing, so we were directed upstairs. We both had burgers with sides. The food was mediocre. Nothing special to note. Our drinks were refilled. I did appreciate the extra napkins already set under the silverware. No need to return.

Y'all. COME ON. This was HANDS DOWN THE WORST experience I've EVER had at a McMenamins. We arrived at 7:37 on August 14, and the hostess said we could take the fire top table right out front. We sat down and at about 8:10 I asked the hostess if I should go inside to order at the bar because NO ONE had come to our table yet. So I went to the bar, told the bartender the issue and he took our order, brought waters out and apologized and also said he would transfer the ticket to the server because she should get the tip. When he came outside and saw where we were sitting, the table backing up to the stairs with a fire pit, he said "we don't serve at this table because it's crooked and there isn't room for plates. They shouldn't have sat you here." Okay so tell the hostess she messed up, make it right? When I finally saw the server again, she had stopped to get a drink order from a table that was JUST sat around 8:30 and asked if she was the server for outside; she said she was and I explained that we had been here for nearly an hour and had no service so we ordered from the bar. Now this was KEY to the evening tanking so please hear this. The server PROFUSELY apologized, told us she really takes her job seriously and was SO upset that we had such a bad experience so far and she was going to move us to a table, as our food had just come and she would take care of us. Food was warm/cool at best but I had two STARVING children and I was tired with a 2 hour drive back to Portland area. We ate and guess what?!?! She NEVER returned. Never glanced our way. The bartender came out and apologized again (which frankly, he did ALL the work that there was to do!!!) And said he would close our tab and when we were ready. Colossal fail on EVERY side here. The bartender literally saved us with at least food and drinks but no accomodation, drink or meal on them for their mistakes. I worked as a server and NEVER would have treated a table that way. I would have comped their meal, had my manager apologize and make sure everything was perfect once I had found out it was terrible. Service was an EPIC fail. Food was not good. You guys REALLY messed up.

Three double thick slices of their Wildflower bread with a small fruit garnish. (I was going to be hiking out to the God's Thumb and figured lots of carbs were in order.) The wait staff was friendly and I was seated right away. So why only four stars? The building, actually a repurposed house has marvelous bones and the woodland setting out the back is dreamy but the interior decor takes little advantage of this and for this reason pulls down the ambience of the establishment. Don't get me wrong it's spacious, clean, and tidy, it could just use a little more decor that captures the setting and the cottage feel of the building, IMO. Additionally the menu is a bit sparse for such a nice place that does its own baking. I believe they used to offer crêpes. The beverage menu is begging for a proper set of specialty espresso coffee and tea offerings. And yes I would go again.

As you drive up you cannot help to notice the red building with a classic Old Cafe sign off HWY 101. They have a unique story, the original Otis Cafe was located in the City of Otis in the 1920s, named after the Post masters nephew. They have ample parking in their own private lot, as you walk up to the building and the main entrance, they have outdoor seating. Key finding, depending the time you arrive you may be waiting a bit to get in, they seem to be very popular with good reason. Once inside you will notice a very open seating area, with various booths and table seating options. They make fresh bread, we could not resist we took home a loaf of homemade bread it was very tasty. The staff greet you as you walk in, it has a very friendly vibe, the staff cycle through the building repeatedly checking in with its customers throughout your visit. The food options are plentiful, also note their portions are huge. We finally decided on an Omelette with veggies and ham, with a side of bacon and German potatoes with wheat sourdough. We also ordered the French toast with Fruit, an egg, another huge portion of food ample for two or three. The food was served warm, to our options and extremely tasty. The bacon was huge, well cooked, the Omelette and potatoes were perfectly cooked, I really enjoyed the Omelette and bacon. We are still working through the French toast, we took 3/4 of it home with us. Some recommendations, review the menu, be ready to order they are fairly busy and turn tables quickly. This is a must try spot during your next visit to Lincoln City.

Loved the chorizo scramble (they recommend the molasses bread but we weren't wild about it). The eggs Benedict ( southern style) had a large biscuit, sausage and egg. Heeping helping of hash browns. All good but could use more gravy as it got a bit dry. Would like the option of two over easy eggs which would bring a little more moisture to the dish. The bartender came over quickly and took our order for two Old Fashioneds and a bowl of chowder. Upon delivering the drinks, she mentioned she was new and wasn't sure if she'd made them exactly right. They were actually good! She just missed the cherry and orange essence, but for $10, I'm certainly not complaining. The clam chowder, however, was the star of the show. Seriously, it's the best clam chowder in Lincoln City right now. I am picky and not easily impressed, but this was perfect.
