Even on this gray, rainy day the colors of the produce were bright and vibrant. It's so much more fun picking fruits and vegetables outdoors than in a fluorescently lit grocery store. The staff running the stand were welcoming and excited to be there. They do provide bags but it's always good to bring reusable ones from home. You'll see advertisement and directional signs off Meeker Street and on the Green River trail. There is free parking in front of the farm stand and a free parking lot just north of the Meeker Street bridge. I love supporting local businesses and I'm glad I can support our local farmers too.

I bought some cherries from here which were delicious. It wasn't too busy when I visited, although I did go when the market just opened. One thing I like especially about this market is that it's right off the Federal Way Downtown 1 line light rail station. I hope that in the coming years, that this brings more foot traffic to the farmers market and helps it grow. The SeaTac Village Shopping Center is also a short walk away, so you can get all of your shopping needs done in one trip.

Although it is a bit inconvenient that the pickup time is during my work hours, I am able to have someone with a flexible schedule pick them our orders for us. The staff was all very friendly and I even got help with carrying the heavy load out to my car. The cash pick up door is on the corner on the backside of the building, near the retention pond. We have had problems getting our other fruit vendors to bring us whip cream for a while now, but after speaking up and letting Gloria know that there is a competition out there that is willing to bring us whip cream, she stood up for her company and began bringing us awesome whip cream. There are always a time when the season isn't right, Gloria will always keep us updated on what is going on and she takes ownership when the fruit isn't up to par. She has been amazing and we hope to work with her for a long time at Pacific Coast.

There are many shady areas to pick from and a nice cool shady area in front of their little inside store for the pickers that need a break. I brought the toddler nephews who weren't much help picking. But the staff treated them like they were their own family. The kids played and I picked. It was a nice afternoon activity with a built in fresh snack. The grounds were gorgeous and extremely well maintained. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. Bonus: The owners never use pesticides on the berries. The Buckets are sanitized after each use and the staff show you the best picking areas when you arrive. We will definitely be back.

In addition to meat and produce the store also seems to specialize with ingredients for dishes from Mexico and you can find some very enticing little snacks from Mexico there as well! One thing that seriously sticks in my mind with Cappy's is their Pico De Gallo and how good it is! You can't always get it there as I found out to my misfortune but if you can I'd definitely grab it up!
