We had an awesome time! So many beautiful ripe berries ready for picking. It's $3.25 a pound. "Eat…read moreas much as you want" they urge you several times. There are many shady areas to pick from and a nice cool shady area in front of their little inside store for the pickers that need a break. I brought the toddler nephews who weren't much help picking. But the staff treated them like they were their own family. The kids played and I picked. It was a nice afternoon activity with a built in fresh snack. The grounds were gorgeous and extremely well maintained. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. Bonus: The owners never use pesticides on the berries. The Buckets are sanitized after each use and the staff show you the best picking areas when you arrive. We will definitely be back.

You are escorted and assigned a row based on what is ripe and ready, so we only got to try one kind. Our row was bursting with jerseys which are aweet and mild. I prefer the fend-for-yourself places where I find the variety I like most, and pick those. Sampling multiple kinds is part of the fun. But, being an organized person, I totally understand why they do it this way. It's set in the beautiful Green Valley, and rhe old barn is a treasure. They have family antiques (to see) mixed with Polish pottery to buy. Naturally, it's all blueberry themed. Bring containers to take your berries home. They don't provide boxes. But they have plenty of clean buckets to use there. They encourage eating as you pick! 2022 price- $3/ pound. They have tables, chairs, and shade to linger and eat.

Mom put a bowl in a bag so she could go hands free as she picked the berries. Unfortunately we were too early, as there were some berries that were ripe, but they were all very small, maybe the size of peas. We made note and plan to come back at the end of August to let things ripen a bit. Mom only got a handful of berries, but we'll probably put them in a smoothie or on a parfait.

Boasting 5 different varieties of blueberry over 20 acres, if you're willing to take the time you can end up with quite the bounty! As I write this the blueberries aren't quite ready to go, but they're mostly definitely working on it and will be delicious in the very near future. There's a ton of space so there's room for everyone. Bonus points if you're petite - some of the bushes are pretty close together and you just know that's where all the ultra-plump berries will be hiding! There's also a small community garden and playground on site if your kiddos need to burn some energy. Easy street parking. The area looks and feels a little iffy, but likely perfectly fine during the day.

The ground is flat and walkable, though I will say the bathrooms are less than ideal: a bit hard to find and all port o potties (they were clean though!). Everyone was very nice and helpful, and the cost to attend and enjoy so many activities is affordable. We went home with a few bulbs in a pot from the nursery, and enjoyed checking out the cute store.

Even though it was a weekday morning and there were still a few parking spots available, the place was already busy with customers. The greenhouse was filled with beautiful hanging flower baskets everywhere, creating such a colorful and cheerful atmosphere. Most of the baskets were priced around $35-$45, and of course I ended up finding one I absolutely loved and bought it. I also picked up some locally harvested honey while I was there. Before leaving, I made sure not to forget the organic seeds I originally came for: zucchini mix, mixed salad greens, sprout mix, and herb mix. This is always one of my favorite places for gardening inspiration, seasonal flowers, and local products.

I know they get swamped, but maybe it's time to find space for some more registers and staff. The main reason I go there now is for the huge heads of lettuce and cauliflower. They're getting less and less worth my time. Yesterday, I went for the first time this season. They overcharged me (or mismarked the plants on the racks) and they charged me for things that didn't make it into my cart. The old double whammy. As they get more expensive, they get less worthwhile.
