I'm not the person to usually write reviews, but I have to say, Moscow Music School is GREAT. If you want to learn music In-depth and really train to see real results, come here. WARNING: This is not the place to learn some ol' tunes and be able to play a note or too. You will be required to put in real effort to play well. I've studied piano under the tutelage of Mr. Wang for 4 years, and I've made huge differences. I've performed at Carnegie Hall, earned Branch Honors 3 years in a row, and won 1st place in the SYMF 2 years in a row so far. But let me tell you, I've had to put in lots of thinking and work to make this happen. I've faced difficult choices and strenuous situations, but I've always managed to pull through. The aspect of grit is unvarying. After each of my achievements, I've accumulated respect from countless competitors. - Now, you're probably thinking that I have an endless supply of luck, but the secret lies in CONFIDENCE. If you really want to set yourself apart from the other countless pianists out there, confidence really matters. I have yet to face a competitor who has confidence. All the competitors that I encountered before show the same sicken expression, they're all scared, which makes them easy to knock down with my aura. Sure, I make people fear me, but I've been very fearful too. Mr. Wang can insult you sometimes, but those countless insults have built up an invulnerability that will help you in more ways than one. The path to success will include humiliation but is solely dependant on your tenacity. Being able to pull through with precision and confidence is an extremely valuable aspect. Moscow Music School specializes in training students to have great music repertoire, along with a confident personality and fair morals. After all the experiences I have gathered, anyone who faces me in a competition better watch out, because I've kicked everyone's ass so far (haha). But I'm waiting for someone to prove me wrong. In life we encounter many things whether it be new people, a different place or even taking up a new class, you never know what you will expect. "Never judge a book by its cover" is something we are taught at a young age in this society especially America where you can be free and express who you are with whatever you want. As for me the moment I stepped into this school was something magical; a second home is what I would call this place, I have been shown kindness compassion and most important of all, the passion and love of music at this place. I can guarantee to any old students or new students no matter what age you are, race, gender, this school as arrogant as this may sound is the NUMBER 1 in all of California and you won't be able to find a second place like this. I hold strong to my words and I will say every single teacher in there especially the owner wants children to love music; they push their students to be the best. They are like lions who drop there child down a valley where the child will climb up to the top and once you're over the cliff, the sight of victory wins your heart and when you look back at all of what you endured you see the mesmerizing sunset and you will say to yourself, "if I had stopped climbing up that wall at any point of my life, I would have not been able to experience such great things that many other people would have not been given the chance to take a step upon. Also studying for 2 years, the level of students at the Moscow Music School is much higher. Mr. Wang is strict with the students and speaks directly. He uses various vivid metaphors in teaching. My daughter likes him very much. Mr. Aleksei is very gentle and patient. His every demonstration is full of emotions. Mr. Wang is a very passionate Piano teacher. He teaches his students in each lesson with all of his energy and unselfishly demonstrates all of the techniques to the students. He not only teaches the students how to play a piece of music, but how to play the music piece with soul. Talented kids in his lessons are quickly becoming shining in Piano competition. My boy had no advancement in his first 5 years of piano lessons with three other teachers. In the last two years, he was learning with Mr. Wang, he has won several first place awards.
