This Motel 6 is now called The Rodeway Inn and it deserves ZERO stars! My experience here was EXTREMELY disappointing. While they advertise having a swimming pool, it is not working. It is highly deceptive of them to include it in their advertising, then point to a sign when you get there saying that the pool is "down for scheduled maintenance." It is a lie. It has not worked for over half a decade or more, and they have no intention of making it work. The furniture in the lobby is sparse, stained, and uncomfortable. The lobby itself has no air conditioning, adding to the discomfort. It makes one wonder if it's heated in the winter. It wouldn't surprise me if it is not. The room was musty and smelly, and the TV remote appeared to have been crushed and put back together with tape. There was no power outlet near the room's desk, so we had to move the desk in order to use a laptop. While they advertise that they have Wi-Fi, it did not work. They claimed the problem was with ME, my phone, and computer, which was VERY offensive. It took me multiple trips to the lobby over a couple hours for them to *finally* reboot the router and get it working... sort of. It was effectively useless, because while I could get the phone to find their EXTREMELY SLOW network, I kept getting bumped off. The laptop's connection was even more tenuous. Every webpage took several minutes to load and it was too slow to do any streaming of audio or video at all. The attempt usually knocked it offline. So, while they DO offer free Wi-Fi, until and unless they get it corrected (which is unlikely) it is effectively unusable for little more than things like email or texts on a cell phone. Connecting to sites like YouTube or TikTok is not possible. I booked two nights, but left after staying only one night and demanded a refund of the unused night. Unfortunately, this $80 room experience was not worth $20. I do not recommend anyone stay at this establishment for any reason. read more

If it were possible to give less stars, I would. I know you've heard that before but this place really deserves a zero. The check in clerk was not friendly at all, the place is run down and the rooms were atrocious. Let me expand upon the rooms. Every outlet was broken or damaged, the beds are hard as rocks, it appears that the sheets haven't been cleaned properly, the baseboard is coming loose, dust covered all of the electronics and fridge, the mirrors are about to fall down, the door to the room is difficult to close and has a large gap at the bottom to allow all types of creatures in..I could go on elevator, parking lot, etc), but at some point you just have to stop and say: "For the love of all that is holy, do not stay here!" This is definitely a 'you get what you pay for' kind of place. I have been turned off of Motel 6 forever. Stayed there on October 29th. Checked in at 12:45am and fell asleep right away, woke up at 4:30am and the bed collapsed on me, had a hard time getting it off me and when I finally did, I went into the bathroom and tried to put cold water on my face but there was no running water whatsoever. Left at 7:30am and forgot my best, called them to tell them I would pick it up. I am a Choice Platinum Rewards Member. It is now called Rodeway In. And I've been staying here off and on for years. Never had a problem. They claim that I left it a mess. I stay here due to convenience but I'm not sure why when the motel has a reputation as a drug and hooker motel. As well as I pay with cash opposed to those being out there by welfare. After the way they treated me I would rather sleep in my car or ever recommend someone to ever stay there. They are rude and ignorant. That I know for a fact I didn't leave a mess because I clean up everything before I leave. And it really after all the money I spent there if one time it was a little messy. I flew in from LA for the Eagles game in November 2019. The location was closes to nearby stores that was convenient for the tailgating. Luckily, I took my own liquor so I only needed beers and chasers. Price: It was one of the best rate for 3 people. The air conditioner worked well and it was pretty clean. Parking: the entire building was surrounded by parking locations. It's definitely convenient for people who are going with big groups, taking separate cars or having special business visitors ;) Overall: The staff were okay; they weren't extra friendly. They were just there doing their job and minding their own business. I did not like the distance from most of the Philadelphia monuments and historic sites. Furthermore, the Uber weeds were more expensive due to the bridge fare. So I don't recommend staying here when trying to visit Philly or watching the Eagles win :P read more

I had a decent stay and was particularly impressed with the cleaning crew. They were polite and made sure to provide us clean towels and extra toilet paper daily. The price was very high though for the quality which does not include breakfast or even a in room coffee maker, iron, working microwave, etc. They also did not open the pool this season. We are from Florida and he is working in the region for the busy season. We plan on returning to Florida In about a month which makes hotels and air bnb our best option for housing. We noticed their sign out front saying $65 a night and stopped. I found out at check in that we are Required to pay for a more expensive king sized room since we have our dog. The cost was actually $100 daily on week days and $135 on weekends. That is what I paid the last 8 days. I temporarily do not have my vehicle because I was in a bad car accident recently and my car is in the shop for another week or more being repaired so moving rooms is a pain in the butt until I get my car back. Relying on Lyft, Uber and Public transportation temporarily is humbling, expensive, inconvenient and frustrating. I'm also dealing with missed work time and pay, and injuries/doctor appointments, still, from the accident. 1. I requested a late check out today so my hubby could run to his office to pick up his pay check at noon, deposit it in the bank; then return asap to pay for another week here. It required an extra hour or two beyond check out time; so I asked for flexibility at the front desk. My husband's boss was running a little later than normal with payroll. They are strict at this hotel about the 11 am check out time; banging on door if you are not paid In full or checked out by 11:00 am sharp. It feels a bit rude the way it is enforced. They said NO about a late check out; knowing my recent car accident and lack of car makes checking out and running errands like this very tough. I didn't want to go through check out and packing; only to check back in by 12:30 pm. We will need to load all of our stuff onto a Lyft; including my dog. We have paid in a timely and reliable way for over a week and have been polite and easy going guests. A little courtesy goes a long way. A small kindness and understanding; given our car accident, would have been easy to grant. I didn't ask for anything free. 2. I also found out that they offer an unlisted discounted weekly rate; for $220 less than I paid for the prior 7 days for my king bed room. They specifically said $65 rate wasn't offered; and I was never informed about that weekly option at exactly that price. I was told I got the best price available for the room type. It feels unfair no one even mentioned the weekly pay option to me at all; all week. I told them about my accident and the car being in the shop for a week or two too. It feels like they allowed to pay top dollar knowing it was available to many others long term guests for $220 less than I paid. They only shared the weekly details with my husband, not me, bc he asked if we received the best price per week after other guests advised him to ask for the weekly discount. Everyone else seemed to pay the lower rate while in the same room type as us. I then asked if they would honor that discount for the last 7 days as a credit towards the new weekly rate; since no one told me about the lower cost option and it felt intentional. They said no refunds on last week will be offered and it was up to me to ask for the weekly discount. I did ask for the best price; specifically the $65 advertised; and was lied to. I'm a diamond Hilton member and have been granted late check outs any time I needed it, up until 3 pm for free. I opted for the cheaper option this trip; given the length of stay. I'm always trying to save money. It isn't that much cheaper when you factor in the free breakfast, customer service perks, better internet and open pool at Hilton; and unavailable here. I may have chosen poorly. It felt unnecessarily rude to deny my request for a slightly late check out; even after spending so much money last week. They were aware of the recent car accident & challenges with transportation while car is repaired. That's bad customer service to nice guests who pay. Knowing the neighboring guests paid significantly less for the same room type and dates is not ok. If I was given the same deal as others in this hotel; I would have paid $455 for Friday to Friday. I paid $670 instead the last 7 days and paid another $135 for tonight only! That means if management wants to keep my business; I am owed $225 and $135 as a credit towards the new weekly rate. I will gladly pay the difference of $105 to complete my weekly rate payment of $455; making me paid through Friday of next week. If management corrects this billing issue; I will modify and increase my review. Why shouldn't everyone be offered the same prices? read more

We stayed at this hotel due to a very last minute change in travel plans due to rental car issues. We have stayed in pervious motel 6 and they were ok for last minute stay. We traveled from Az, to NYC for vacation and decided to take a drive to PA. When we che led on the hotel was pretty run down We felt we should be ok for one night. Next morning we checked out and proceeded back to NYC. During the drive home both my kids started Scratching extreamly pad throughout the whole body. Once we got back into York we started examining their bath legs arms ears fingers toes we know this over 50 bed by bites that it's on my children concerned. We contact at the hotel right away but there was nobody there who could assist us they said that with call back the following day to the manager had only left. We called Motel 6 corporate office to place a complaint not only for what happened to our children but what could happen to the next people state their. The only thing they said they could do is call the hotel just to have a spray pesticides but other than that there's nothing more they can do. My parents are currently there and being treated horribly. From my mom: "We have stayed at a lot of motel 6's and they have always been basic but clean and decent furniture. The bath room is gross with hair in the corners. The floor is dirty and has foot prints. There is a sticker from A pair of fruit of the loom underwear stuck to the wall. It looks like someone peed a little against the wall the closet rods are rusty big time the towels and sheets aren't clean. No dressers a cheap table and 2 chairs but the tv works." This hotel is DISGUSTING!!! Upon arrival, I noticed I didn't have my ID with me. They allowed my husband to get the room but left the reservation in my name. Around 3am, they gave our room key to someone else and they walked right in our room. They knew they messed up because they called the room asking to see our ID and said they didn't know how we got a key. Uh...maybe because we paid for the room. There's blood on the sheets and walls, sockets hanging off the wall, cigarette butts stuffed in the sink drain, the toilet was broken, and the employees were extremely rude, except maintenance. When we noticed our room key no longer worked after they assigned it to someone else, they didn't even wanna give us another key. We will NEVER stay here again. We unfortunately had to stay because of not we would be homeless. Manager allowed us to pay when I got paid. Another manager kept adding days without our knowledge bringing it over 1000. Her name is Kate. She knocks and bangs on doors threatening people and locking doors and turning power off. She locked us out of our room knowing we had a dog and then we heard she said she was going to call animal control when she was the one that locked him in. I didn't mind being here because it's close to my work but now have to worry about if I can keep job now that I will be homeless. No one at this motel likes this woman because of her behavior and she's going over people's heads even if there was agreement in place with other managers. For motels, well this one is a giant pass, the saying "get what you pay for" well ive stayed in cheaper places and never felt as creeped out then staying at this place for a night. The wifi was there but barely usable, the beds were uncomfortable, there was a layer of dust in teh corners, and the bathroom smelled. I was happy there were bed bugs. It's the motel 6 you expect. Towels are crap, bed is crap and the pillows are crap but its the cheapest place to stay in town. On the night we checked in it was pouring rain so their dish completely went out. No TV for the entire night. I went down to get a drink around midnight to find the cops yelling at one of the guests. When I went back to my room I could smell pee outside from somewhere. The WiFi from where I am seems decent. The first room we were assigned smelled like smoke so they got us a new room right away. I stayed there on Saturday october 8, 2016. My room was on the second floor I came in at about 11pm after being out for a while and the bathroom was flooded from the room above me on the third floor. I went to the front desk and told the man on duty. He said they'd take care of it and go to the third floor to see what the problem was and come to my room to clean up the water. No one ever showed up, I couldn't even take a shower the next day there was about 2 inches of water on the floor. Nastiest and shadiest place even for a $50 hotel. We booked online as their pictures on Expedia looked "descent". Upon arrival we saw a guy arguing w front desk over "not staying the whole night why should he pay more than $35?". First let me say if you are looking for cheap and don't care about things being broken or lack of things the hotel offers this is for you. She. We arrived we had to speak to someone through plexiglass which made it very difficult to understand. Then I took the elevator to my floor which smelled like urine. When I got to my room the light switch and one lamp was broken as well as the bathroom door knob. There were no buckets for ice, but instead a plastic bag. Not to be picky, but there was hair that wasn't mine or my husband's on the bathroom floor. Ladies, if you need a hair dryer, make sure to bring one. The husband and wife are so nice i come there often and they give me the same room and remember me every time and they work with me on the prices my only wish is the days we could stay . Thanksgiving Nightmare! First having to switch rooms 3 times in 1 day. Room 333, the door didnt shut and lock. Didn't need a keycard at all. The wind could push the door open! I get transfered to another room having to pack each time! Room 331 the microwave was a fire hazard! Wires split and chewed up! Then transfered to room 338! Lets not leave out having to go back and fourth up and down the stairs because the keycards rarely ever work for more than 20 minutes! Room 333 had baby roaches in the bathroom. Burns in the blankets. I need a refund! This is injustice. I refuse to let this go on and not let the community know! I have pictures to prove my point. And a video of the door from room 333. I reported the door being broken on room 333 two weeks before returning to the motel and getting the room again!! I reported the lock issue in the office when i checked out after finding out!! 2 weeks later the issue isn't fixed!! Just pull the handle no keycard and you are in!!! That is not okay!! My family and I stayed at the Motel 6 located in Brooklawn New Jersey on Saturday May 19th 2018. The initial check-in process was speedy and to the point. There were no problems with retrieving my online reservation. We were given a room key for room 220, when we arrived at the room the door was open. I contacted the front desk and was informed that the door was left open because the cleaning staff had just finished the room. However, that was not the case. There were stains all over the bed sheets/cover, sticky spots on the floors, a white powder substance on the side of the bed and on the floor, trash laying on the floor, and the bed was broken. My husband and I then went to the front desk to notify the attendant. He informed us that they have been having issues lately with the cleaning staff and he apologized. Not once did he mention changing our rooms until I brought it up. He then gave us a new room key for room 206. We were informed that this room should be much better given the fact that they use it for their inspections. My husband and I went to check out the room first before transporting our children and our belongings into the new room. When we arrived at the new room, it appeared that this room was a little cleaner. We noticed that there were a few pillows missing as well as blankets. Once again we made a trip down to the front desk attendant asking for pillows and blankets. We were notified that they do not offer additional bedding, I was not asking for additional bedding I was asking for the bedding that should have been put in the room to begin with. The second night, in he second room, there were roaches in the bathroom. Staff was rude when we brought this to their attention. This place was terrible and you should really consider somewhere else. We got to the hotel and there was a man screaming at the night auditor that he was going to sue. The motel grounds were gross and littered with trash. Our room was filthy, there were cigarette burns on ALL the furniture, comforter and sheets. The outlet covers were off and laying on the floor exposing wires, there were no towels, and huge opening/hole over the bathtub. The toilet didn't work well so we had to keep a plunger in our room with us. For God knows what reason there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector. Our front door was broken we had to get assistance to get it in or body slam the door to get it open. The room advertised a fridge and microwave however there was no microwave, the tv was antique and barely worked. We were even stopped by the police to ask if we knew people who lived in the motel. The most disgusting motel I've ever stayed at!! A friend and I were looking for a cheap place to stay at for the night, now let me start off by saying I've stayed at a motel 6 in California and it was a real clean and a pleasant stay. THIS SPECIFIC MOTEL 6 though is absolutely disgusting!!! The towels that are suppose to be white were stained brown, the motel staff definitely does not sweep or wipe anything because there was hair from a previous guest on the sink, toilet and towels. I took a quick shower to rinse myself down and when I look up, there's a freaking cockroach taking a stroll on the ceiling ..The bed covers had cigarette burns, I check under the nightstand & there was a "roach clip" smoked marijuana clip under the nightstand along with what it seems months of collected dust. The small fridge in the room was leaking water and cracked open, it wouldn't close. To make things worse there was a dead roach in the fridge. The elevator reeked of urine. I passed by the laundry room and the staff were just sitting on their ass. Clearly the staff at this motel do not care for cleaning anything. Please don't stay here. It's disgusting. read more
