Honestly, I had quite low expectations, so my 4 star is based on what I thought I may have been walking into. I stayed here on an American Airlines voucher due to plane issues and missing my connecting flight. I got into DFW around 1AM and had to be back at the airport by 4am - so I was just hoping for a clean space that was safe to try to catch an hour or two of sleep. I appreciated the other reviews to help me feel a bit more confident. I did not take the shuttle either direction because I needed to maximize my time and ensure I got back to the airport on time. I grabbed a Lyft each direction (scheduled the one back to the airport). Check in was easy and quick - lobby was very basic, not the most inviting, but the staff was friendly and kept the process efficient! I saw a vending machine in the lobby too though I didn't look at it closely. My room was good size, and my bed was comfortable. I could hear others doors, but turned on white noise on my phone and it really helped. As others mentioned, there are not toiletries provided other than two small bars of soap. No tissues either and thin towels - BUT my room was clean, and was able to catch about 1.5-2 hours of sleep, take a quick shower, and I know it was better than staying in the airport. If I was in this situation again, I would pick this hotel over the other options that my voucher included. read more

Shuttle failed to pick me up from the airport. Waited 45 minutes. Ended up having to take an Uber. Middle of the night call at 2:20am asking me if I was still planning on taking the 2:30am shuttle. Did end up taking the shuttle back to the airport and watched the rushing shuttle driver slam the van door closed on an older woman's finger. Chirping sounds from smoke detector all night. Very thin walls. Heard neighbors having a party. What a terrible experience. read more

I stayed at Motel 6, 7800 Heathrow Drive, Irving, TX, night of June 1/2, 2024. I was there because my flight had been delayed and my connecting flight was the next morning. Motel 6 had a small, clean, quiet room. The bed was comfortable. Because of the reason I came (unexpected flight delay), I had no toiletries or a change of clothes. The front desk had no simple toiletries -- toothpaste or toothbrush, mouthwash, etc. The place is basic. Also, I had to wait 45 minutes for the complimentary shuttle to pick me up because the shuttle picks up people from many other hotels. (Other people had to wait even longer, up to 90 minutes.) You get what you pay for. It's a budget option stay. But that being said, this was a clean establishment with a staffed front desk, and decent beds/bedding. The shuttle is so late with schedules, that you should assume it doesn't exist. And there are no extras like breakfast or digital keys. But for the price, it's awesome. read more

Well, it's a Motel 6. It's nice that the hallways are indoors and I couldn't hear other guests. The worst part was the shuttle situation. I waited over an hour at the airport and called the motel twice. Both calls were useless as the people answering were extremely difficult to understand due to heavy accents. Both provided inaccurate information about the shuttle arriving in five to 10 minutes. I had to find my own way there in the middle of the night from the airport which was awful. The room was sad and not clean but tolerable for one night and it's one AA gave me when I was stranded at DFW. read more

Worst shuttle service I've ever experienced. Waited 1.5hrs shivering in the cold (45 degrees) for a pickup at the airport. There is not really an indoor area by the courtesy van pickup, so you have to wait outside. Kept calling hotel, and they kept telling me "15 more minutes". They claimed that the guy came by and couldn't find me, but 1. I was standing there and would have seen him and 2. if he really did miss me, why did they make no attempt to contact me (after I had already called a few times)? If they had just been honest at the beginning that it would take so long, I would have taken a cab. Totally miserable experience that made me sick. The room was bare bones and the bed was hard, exactly the level of quality you would expect from this kind of hotel. Pretty much no sound insulation at all, so I could clearly hear the TV next door and the baby crying on the other side. read more

My friend and I stayed here last night. It was $56. Our room was modern and... mostly clean except for one thing... There was a small curly hair on one of the towels. Grossed me out a lot. But the other two towels were clean. Crummy towels, by the way. Small and on the scratchy side. Anyway. The beds were comfortable. I slept super well. It was quiet outside last night. Shower was perfect. It stayed warm the whole time. Water pressure was terrific. Tub was clean and drained well. My friend said the wifi sucked. And our room was pretty close to the front desk. I, along with my husband, wanted to attend a Texas Ranger game on 8-14-22. We live in San Antonio and had made arrangements to stay at the Motel 6 DFW North on 8-13-22. Even though we knew that a Motel 6 just has the basics, the room was horrible. It was dirty, smelled like someone had been smoking in it, the air conditioner was extremely loud, and room was dirty. We had planned to stay over on 8-14-22 but could not tolerate the room another night. I quickly called for another reservation at a Quality Inn for the next night and was able to get one. I have been trying to get reimbursed for the night that we did not stay. I have called and emailed the manager, leaving several messages, and finally once was able to speak with him. I do believe that I was respectful on the call however he ended up hanging up on me. I called back and asked to speak with him, left a message and he has never called. Again, I know if is a Motel 6, just the basics, but at this motel, even the basics were horrible. Not recommend this motel ever and in fact, will rethink ever staying at a Motel 6 again. First off, full disclosure I missed a flight and this was one of the discounted rooms provided by AA so I was in a foul mood to begin with for missing a flight. The TV in my room would turn off every 3-10 min with no rhyme or reason. Housekeeping was knocking on my door at 8:50 in the AM. The smoke detector in the room was covered in a plastic bag for some reason. The side tables had exposed particle board on the sides. If you are looking for a place to crash for your next flight this place is decent, not ok, just decent. I don't ever plan on staying here again, even if I miss a flight. read more

One of the main reasons I stay at Motel 6's is because they are a dog-friendly chain. This is NOT the reason I stay at this particular motel. I stay here because if I have to overnight near DFW between flights, this is literally the cheapest and BEST option out of the hundreds of hotels that are near the airport. Seriously? Under $40 for a single? This particular motel was used as a basis for testing out the concept of Motel 6 for business travel. So unlike your typical Motel 6, my room had fake hardwood floors, more modern furniture (think IKEA), and a flat screen TV. Check-in took a little longer than I'd have liked - not unusual since everyone who uses the shuttle to get here arrive en masse, so be patient. It really would be nice if they had a bathroom in the lobby while you're waiting to check in - I didn't see one. I've stayed here twice now, and I won't hesitate to do so again. read more

For the price it was okay. They offer a free shuttle to/from the airport, but I had to wait an hour and a half for them to pick me up. They have a sign up in the lobby for the shuttle to the airport starting at 4:00 am which was very helpful and on time. The digital signal to the TV in my room was horrible and I was unable to take advantage of the free HBO. I called the front desk and they said the maintenance guy had already left and they were unable to do anything. The shower knob was loose and I had to push against the wall while pulling the knob simultaneously to turn on the water. The room was clean, but very thin walls. First, the positive about this Motel 6 was the receptionist. Very courteous, respectful, and customer service oriented. Other than that the location is not the most desirable location especially if you have a family. The room itself has the bare minimum. A small bed, sparse furniture, and a decent bathroom. The toilet seat itself was "jimmy rigged" with a rectangular light brown silicone between the seat and top base of the toilet. I am pretty sure it took more time to do that than buying a new toilet seat. It just didn't feel safe staying there. Luckily it was just me staying there due to my flight cancellations at Dallas Fort Worth Airport. I would not recommend bringing your family there. read more

I was expecting a typical, spartan, hostel-style stay last night when I stayed at this Motel 6 from 11pm-5am in between flights (well, 4:30am technically. I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible). What I didn't expect was the 6-legged "friend" that came with the room! I had been in he room for literally 3 minutes, and went to go brush my teeth only to find a COCKROACH sitting on the mirror sill next to the sink. GROSS!! According to my FitBit, I actually slept for 1h43m last night, mostly cuz I was laying awake tossing and turning on the bed (which I "slept" in fully clothes on top of bath towels) just thinking of what other kinds of creepy crawlies were sleeping in the room with me that I couldn't see. Also, pretty sure that sometime during my glorified nap, I dreamt an insect was crawling on my arm. REALLLLY hoping that was only a dream!!! On the plus side, I was happy to find I didn't get bitten by bed bugs. Pretty sad that that was the highlight of my stay here. Last night was my first and most definitely last Motel 6 experience. Next time I need a hotel for only 5-6 hours, I'm not gonna be a cheap-o and dole out the other $50 for a regular hotel. Or maybe I'll just sleep on the airport floor with my backpack as a pillow. Before I say anything, The man behind the desk, most helpful person ever. He did the best of his ability to help me, but his powers are limited. He is not a superman who can fix a shower or a door. Firstly. the room I started with "room 106" was clean, the bed looked good, but I just got back from hell off DFW international and needed a shower. well, the shower was broken, the water would not turn on at all. He tried it, but to no avail, gave me a new room "room 107" first problem, the door would not open. so he redid the key and got it to work the second time. Finally got to rest and take my shower, No water pressure, at all. it was droplets. all in all, not very happy, but not blaming the employee. read more

If all you need is a bed, shower, and a TV to watch, then this motel will meet those needs. Shame on me for assuming that the room would also contain a microwave and mini-fridge and a place to hang up some clothes. My room had none of those amenities. Moreover, the air conditioner is extremely NOISY and barely puts out any cold air at all! As for the bathroom, there are a few bars of hand soap, but no little bottles of shampoo and conditioner or moisturizer lotion. I have stayed in similarly priced motels that provided such niceties. 3.5 Stars no frills affordable hotel. We just stayed overnight because it was very close to the airport and had a 24 hour shuttle. Our flight was at 5am the following day so this location was perfect for us. The first room they gave us had the old loud wall A/C but we didn't mind because it got the room cold. The problem was the barking dog in the room next to us so I asked to move us to another room. They gave us room to the right wing with a view of the pool and this one had a quiet central A/C. The room was spacious enough & clean. Bath had soap only and towels were pretty rough. The hotel didn't have a business center nor front desk that can print your boarding passes but again, this is a no frills hotel with modern rooms. There are no places to eat within walking distance. If you have a rental, go to The Ranch in Las Colinas and there are also other nice restaurants next to it in the same plaza. It's a only a 7 minute drive from hotel via freeway. read more

This is one of the nicest low price hotel in all of creation. I stay at Motel 6's because they're a very good value and pretty standard across the country. But this one is over the top great. High concept designed rooms are super clean (because there's no carpet to make them smell mildewy) and high tech. By high tech I mean Flat Screen TV and a thermostat that senses when you are in the room and only is on when you're there, hence keeping the price down. The only complaint I have with Motel 6's in general is that they have no public restroom in the lobby. On a long trip there is one thing a person needs to do when they get out of the car and that's go to the restroom. The fairly long check in process would be more enjoyable if one could go to the bathroom while the clerk was working. I'll bet you lose a significant amount of customers not having a restroom in the lobby. Otherwise, you're the top of the line. read more

We were stranded in Dallas/Ft. Worth on Christmas due to our flight cancellation during a snowstorm. We saw good reviews on Yelp and hoped for the best. We paid $50 for 2 people for one night, which is a pretty good deal compared to California prices. The room was clean and the decor modern. It kind of reminded me of being in Ikea. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. They helped us find eateries that would deliver and be open on a holiday. They have toiletries that you can purchase (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, etc) in case you are without luggage. Staying here made the flight cancellation not that bad. P.S. You do not want to stay at the airport overnight during extreme cold weather. Other passengers that slept on cots at the airport said the facility shut down the heat so it gets so cold you can even see your breath inside the terminal! read more

A great place for crews, they charge reasonable rates. Up until recently, this was my number one place with friendly staff. They raised the price by $2 which still made it competitive around the area but are adamant about charging for double occupancy even if you don't have a 2nd person but rather use both sets of sheets as they are paper thin. You ask about why not use the heater, well it dries the room out so much that makes it difficult to breath but at least it works well. The A/C units can be noisy at times, the water pressure in the shower is awesome but the sink's is lacking. The towels are single ply if that's even a thing as you can practically see through them as is the toilet paper. Sometimes you'll get a few hairs on a towel which you won't relative until you're drying your face and the occasional hair strand lying across the bed. For some reason it seems more prevalent here than other hotels. Maybe their lint trap is full. They have a crew room too which is helpful for some but is pretty dingy. Reports have varied from stolen sandwiches to musty but something that you can utilize they don't have fridges in the room. The staff more or less makes up for the extra star. Unfortunately it's easy to get on their "charge double or give him a single room list" even on occasion I don't request room service for a few days. For example, I stayed here last week for 4 days and didn't request a single day of room service, folded my towels before I checked out and cleaned the room up to the best I could. Yes I ended up using the sheets of the second bed but none of it helps them out apparently so leave it as cluttered or used as you like. The van service is a third party company that runs every 40 minutes from each of the different hotel in the area. Usually they are on time when departing the hotels but pickup from the terminal is an entirely different subject. Sometimes if you're there and timed it perfectly, you'll get picked up right away but other times it can be as long as over and hour for pickup! With their recent price adjustment, they have become one of the more "expensive" hotels and I will be taking my business elsewhere. I will miss the clean floors and nice staff but there are other hotels around the ring that are nice, clean and reasonably priced. As the lady at the front desk said, "Take your business there. I wanted to share alittle today about a young woman named April. She was the front desk receptionist at the Irving- Heathrow Drive Motel 6. She went out of her way today to assist my family. My 17 yr. Old sons flight encountered bad weather coming out of Wichita and subsequently missed his connecting flight in Dallas to travel home to Hawaii. I was literally in tears that the next flight for my son was at 11:20 the next day, meaning he would have a 22 hr layover alone in the airport. She talked to me numerous times on the phone as I tried to work lodging out for my son. Not only did she assist with that but she also helped my son to find his way out of the Dallas airport to the shuttle service area and arranged for a shuttle to pick him up. She was so helpful, calming and was my lifeline through this whole ordeal. I couldnt have handled all of this without her. Although the place fit my budget nicely, it wasn't a very comforting hotel to stay at. My room was freezing cold, even after adjusting the thermostat multiple times. The blankets were paper-thin, so I found myself using towels as extra blankets so I wouldn't feel so cold. The water pressure in the shower was very strong, almost painful, while the water pressure of the sink was virtually nonexistent. I was also continuously woken up by really loud bangs throughout the night, so I hardly got any sleep. No shampoo/conditioner is provided, only a small bar soap. There is no breakfast served in the morning. --- Pros: Free shuttle service to the airport, clean room, several channels on the tv. And of course the cheap price! Cons: LOUD, freezing cold, thin blankets, stiff bed. Very small room, uncomfortable shower, no shampoo/conditioner. No breakfast in the morning. read more

I booked a room at Motel 6 in Irving, TX after my American Airlines flight was canceled. I had been up for 15 hours because my journey started in Tucson, AZ. I tried taking a nap around 4pm but all I heard was the vacuum out in the hall and a Spanish speaking woman talking loudly on the phone. I tried going to sleep around 1030pm but all I heard were doors slamming; the ice machine being used; my neighbors having sex and people talking loudly in the halls. Finally, I went to the front desk to ask the woman how am I supposed to sleep with all of this going on. I even asked her if I could sleep on the roof just to avoid all the nonsense and she laughed thinking I was joking. I was originally in room 130 and she moved me to room 330 after 1am but I still heard doors slamming and people talking. I've been up for over 26 hours now and I'm tired and cranky. I do not recommend staying here if you're hoping for rest and sleep. read more

We had trouble with the TV and there was no wifi as promised. When we called the front desk, they were polite but offered no remedy. When we pushed it, they said they would send maintenance but when maintenance finally came, it was too late and were asleep. That front desk response was disappointing. read more

The room was modern however there were pubic hair's on the sheets and pillowcases there were little white bugs in the tub and on the toilet I was highly upset. The hairdryer in the bathroom did not work I tried to unplug it and plug it in several times. There are no ice machines on the second floor you have to go all the way downstairs. I've been here on two separate occassions. First time was on the second floor which had a clean room. Second time was on the first floor which reeked of a moldy smell and a filthy bathroom door.
