1) At time of check-in the front desk didn't seem to know quite what they were doing. First they couldn't find my reservation. They finally found it and then they couldn't make the keys work properly and it took a long time to get the keys activated. It seemed like their first day on the job (even though it looks like the owners were the ones at the front desk). 2) The room was in the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor. Parking only in front (and somewhat limited). No parking in back (faced a grassy area and a lake behind some trees). It was hard to get to the back with luggage. 3) I will give credit that the room was clean and had microwave and fridge. However there were no other amenities: No coffee maker or hair dryer, a small bar soap and no other liquid soap. Towels were very thin and worn out. Bathroom was clean but old. Shower worked well. Bedspread and blankets were VERY thin. The room had some kind of vinyl floor - no carpet. 4) The area is a bit sketchy. People were hanging outside smoking and talking loudly into the night. For the price I paid, nearly $200 a night, I would not stay here again unless I really had to (and I am very easygoing with lodging). This is a $50 a night motel. IT doesnt rate at all. the place is filthy and they charge what they feel like.The rooms have bedbugs, dusty beds dirty blankets and sheets. How does a business like this even have a permit to operate is beyond me.when I pulled down my blanket on my bed the sheets were never changed and the platform that the bed was laying on was filled with food particles and heavy dust.Unfortunatelyunately we were stuck here because there were no available rooms as it was a peak season.I had to sleep with my head wrapped and my clothes on.My brother also had to do the same.At 7am I went to the office to complain about this and I was not given a refund. At this time another young girl came in and was eaten all over her legs from bedbugs and heard her mention to the desk clerk that she paid 155.00 to stay there! I have traveled in 3rd world countries and have stayed in some pretty rough places. But this motel was one of the most disgusting places I've encountered anywhere. The room had a peculiar smell, perhaps from insecticide, which was only partially effective because I found live as well as dead insects in the bedroom and bathroom, including very live bedbugs. The room key didn't open the door, and it took awhile for that to be corrected by an outdoor worker who was emptying trash cans. There was no wastebasket in the bedroom or bathroom. The same worker got one for me. (He seemed to be the only helpful person employed there.) The floor was sticky and dirty. I asked for a room in the back, thinking it would be quieter, but I couldn't park near the room and the walkway to the room from the parking lot was dark and sort of scary. I felt unsafe. The only thing the "cleaning crew" did between my two nights there was to provide new towels. He or she didn't make the bed, empty the wastebasket, or clean the dirty floor. This horrible room cost over $125 per night -- quite a rip-off! AVOID!! read more

Gross is the first thing that comes to mind. The sheets are ripped that are on the bed. The toilet is dirty. The shower is disgusting. The blanket has cigarette burns. The bar to hang clothes is coming off the wall. STAY AWAY elevator smells like smoke. Dirty diapers in the parking lot. read more

Bedbugs!!!! Stayed here last week (Aug 19, 2021) for one night and now I have bed bug bites all over my right hand and arm. The are "doing an investigation" but I'm sure that will be a complete waste of time. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Great, kid-friendly and clean affordable motel with a big window and a TV plasma screen in the room! The heating and cooling system is working properly. There are a convenient fridge and a microwave. Free parking is on the premise. Breakfasts aren't available. If you were to be hungry, I would recommend the delicious Pizza King restaurant nearby. read more

Have been in better motels, don't know if I would stay in another motel 6 again it it will be ok for three nights. This place is dirty, smells and hope do not have bed bugs. The pool is closed. If this run down dirty motel 6 is like all the others I won't stay in another one. read more

The WORST place i have EVER stayed! I'd rather sleep on a cot in a tent city! My wife is 28 weeks pregnant and i asked for a couple extra pillows to help her get comfortable they only gave me one extra but they couldn't even give a pillow case! The place seems run down! read more

ROACH MOTEL- STAY AWAY;. Between the 2 roaches and crack whores, I had to find another place to stay. I am pretty low maintenance with hotels but i had to leave because I honestly felt that I was going to contract a disease from this hotel. Very disappointed with my stay. The room's towels had black marks on them... the bed comforter had stains on it. The remote's back was broken off. The TV was placed on the left side of the room with no moveable mount yet the bed was on the far right side. It's such a tiny screen you can't see it from bed. The hotel beds have no protective allergy pad. Just a sheet covering a mattress. That's pretty gross when the sheet comes off the corner while sleeping. The icing on the cake? I had a two night stay. When I left the first morning around 8, I didn't come back til 7... my door was WIDE OPEN when I came back. Thankfully I had my dog. As a younger female that's terrifying to come back to. I went to the desk to see what could be done. She mentioned this happened three times last week. That's disgustingly unacceptable. She said the manager BK lives there and would talk to him so when I checked out the next day he could provide some sort of refund. When I checked out, he had zero clue what happened and didn't even apologize. He said he would talk to the cleaning staff and that's it. Definitely spend the money and go elsewhere. read more

Rooms are clean and neat. The front desk is not very organized, they are very short on staff, and their customer service is poor. As a whole it is very shady, not a place to bring families, especially young children, almost every room you walk by smells of Weed and heavy tabaco. The environment is poor, but at least it keeps us off the streets. read more

After arriving at this motel on our way to the Outerbanks and walking through a back courtyard with garbage and empty beer bottles we had to step over a drunk man sitting next to our room at 1 am. The room was old and dirty, it smelled like mildew and we actually considered leaving rather than sleeping in that bed. The air conditioning vent was covered with dirt and dust and looked like it had never been cleaned. I woke up earlier than I needed to just to get out of there. Customer X who left the 5 star review is clearly the manager who has nerve charging over $100 a night. We often travel with our dogs so we frequently stay at motel 6. After this experience I will probably never stay at a Motel 6 again. read more

Health Department needs to shut down this place. First, upon arrival we went up to our room opened door and to our surprise it wasn't cleaned. Bed wasn't changed from past occupant . Bedding was on floor pillows thrown on the floor. Trash wasn't removed , total nightmare. Called front desk and he came up to give us a new room. I said, "I want a room with the same tub." His reply was ," tubs are broken, that's why our Special rooms are listed on Trip advisor ." What , just because rooms listed on deal website at a lower rate you give your damaged rooms to rent. No, that's not how it works. Rooms should be kept up on. If it's broken you fix it. Our second room was filthy, nat infested , dust on furniture. I was totally disgusted . I slept on a chair fearing the beds would be infested with bugs. About 10:30 11:00 pm, our phone rings its front desk. Waking my husband and I up to ask what was the original room number was. I told him , hung up sat in chair phone rings again. Your last name please and spell it. WTF , ARE YOU FOR REAL! !!!! That's your job to know, and you wake us up to ask us this crap. Trash all outside of this place, it was a nightmare. Health Department I hope investigates this hell hole. Please do not patronize this motel. I'm warning anyone thinking about it for your health and safety . I'm really an easy going person, but I was on the edge about to snap . Have pride in your establishment . Care about the well being of people staying . Please please take my experience seriously , all I wanted was a clean, insect free place to spend the night that's all. Nothing fancy but clean. Vending area was disgusting and didn't work . Had to walk to Arby's for a drink. Thank GOD I had a can of Lysol disinfectant in my car. read more
