I've been staying at Motel 6 for a couple weeks temporarily. The prices are decent but you get what you pay for. So far I've been to three different rooms and they don't seem too bad at first glance. All the ladies at the front desk were very helpful when I checked in and checked out. All these pros and cons are not exaggerated. PROS: *Check in and check out was quick *Comfortable beds *Free WiFi & Cable *Cool AC *Pets stay free *Walking distance from all the main stores including Tulare Outlets *Cheap prices *Free Coffee in the office CONS: *First night I stayed, I got a bad rash on my legs that travels down my legs (picture included) *A lot of drug dealing in the area *Only one microwave in the lobby for everyone *A TON OF CREEPS *Super Loud neighbors *I got a loud banging on my room door at 4:00 in the morning and looked outside and no one was there?? *If you don't like a lot of kids in one place making a lot of noise and talking smack on you then stay away from the pool *We found stains of poop on the bed sheets and figured they were only stains until we laid down and the stench of poop and butt came to us. *Bloody pillow cases in our room (pic included) *House keeping "accidentally" took my gaming controller *Someone complained that House keeping comes into your room when you're not there to see if it's kept in good shape. If not, you'll get a room complaint. *House keeping did not change our sheets when we asked for Room Service. They flipped the sheets and pillow cases over. *We found mold in the shower on the ceiling *Showers are made for only one person *Hookers in and out of the rooms *You must lock your car because there's a big chance your car will get broken into

If I could rate this place with zero starts I would gladly do so! Everything about my stay was horrible from the rooms themselves, to the customer service ! I'm a single mom experiencing domestic violence issues and had no other place to stay so my grandpa got me a room there. The room when I walked in had a strong odor or urine , which I thought maybe had to do with the bathroom . The bed and sheets had black hairs all over ( mind you I have red hair ) , and in the shower it looked like black Pubic hair all over as well . I stayed with my children and the next day when my kids were messing around they accidentally moved the sheet off the bed only to expose huge urine stains and some other stains that looked like mold . I went to the front desk to complain and ask for a new room, the staff were extremely rude and told me I should've complained when I first got the room but I explained to them how was I supposed to know the beds were full of urine stains. They then gave me a new room which also smelled but not as strong, but for some reason there was black hairs everywhere in this room as well. It was horrible and disgusting but I had no other choice because all the other hotels were full and me and my kids had no where else to go and feared for our safety so we had to stay there . There was dog feces in the walkway to the front desk inside the building and in my first room the neighbors above had a lot of dogs which barked all night. That hotel is notorious for prostitutes and drug addicts so I'm not surprised. So before I left and checked out I complained and asked to talk to the manager who was also extremely rude, she said all she could offer me was $20 off. Anyways fast forward to last week, my friend house that I had started staying at , I got locked out of . So there I was in the Same predicament as before, all the other hotels were full and Motel 6 was the only hotel available so I go and try to check out a room with my grandpa and low and behold they have us on a block from staying there ! I'm guessing because we complained, wow horrible that place should be shut down everything about it is a joke it's disgusting it's trash and the workers there are trash! I will definitely be filing a complaint online to corporate as well !

Absolutely disgusting .. I'm not sure why I didn't check on yelp before I booked this room. There is literally dead bugs on the floor, poop on the toilet and pubes in the sink! This room was so disgusting these people should ashamed of themselves. Yes of course I'm reporting them silly!!! I contacted the better business bureau and the local fire department. They don't even have fully charged fire extinguishers.... I took pictures of everything .... need I say more ... be safe out there guys!

Best Western Town & Country Lodge was the nearest location to the event, safe neighborhood, and that was rated more than a 2-Star. For a 3-Star hotel, they meet the standard amenities. They even have an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was out of service at the time of my visit. PROS -Self parking on the premises with cameras. -Near my event with restaurants nearby. -Reasonable price. -Free breakfast. CONS -Noise at night from the busy road. -Walls are paper thin. -I smelled Coffee at 6 AM! Why? -No blackout curtains. -Loud AC unit made random clicking sound. Overall, my stay was fine for one night. If I was to stay more than one night, I would ask for the a room in the back of the premises because I was woken up a couple of times by sirens and loud noise. I'm also a light sleeper. My room was on the second floor near the front desk. Although the room is dated, I can tell it was recently painted and upgraded with new furnishings. Well maintained and clean. The room is spacious and had all the basic amenities, plus a microwave! Complimentary breakfast 6-9 AM daily with a good variety. Coffee, tea, juice, waffle maker, toaster with bread, bagel and muffin, cereals and hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they seem friendly.

My one critique is I was traveling with a baby so I wasn't looking at the time. I made sure she had enough food during breakfast but at 9AM sharp the doors to the cafeteria were locked and shut so I lost track of time and therefore lost the ability to get myself a plate. A 5 minute warning would of been great but otherwise a great place to stay.

Checking in was a breeze. We were greeted by a very friendly attendant at the front desk, and there were multiple carts available for luggage. We got a very reasonable price on our room, so we were looking forward to staying in one of the king suites. However, immediately after check-in, I had to use the restroom and, as I sat down, a very large cockroach crawled out from the bathtub drain. I called the front desk and they offered to switch us to another room. We did attempt to check out the other room, but aside from the insecticide they had sprayed, I could smell a lingering cigarette odor likely from a previous guest. Unfortunately, I have a heightened sense of smell and can detect things that others might not. Ultimately, we decided to return to the first room after they treated it for the insect. On the second day of our stay, we requested an additional blanket for my child, who was sleeping on the pullout bed, to be delivered later in the evening. Breakfast was adequate, though we wished there were more fresh fruit selections. At the time, the only bananas available were very green and the apples didn't look too appealing. As we prepared to leave, we placed a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and left for the day. When we returned later that evening, I noticed that the towels had been changed and some had been placed over the bathtub while the towel on the floor had been picked up. I was surprised because we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up, which meant no one should have entered our room. I checked the phone and saw that there was no message indicating someone had been in. I called the front desk to inquire about it, and the attendant stated they were unable to see in their system if the room had been entered, but that management would call us the next morning. I requested to be contacted as soon as possible since we would be checking out around lunchtime. The following morning, I had not received a call, so we went down for breakfast. I spoke with the front desk gentleman, who turned out to be a Sales Rep rather than an attendant. I explained what had happened and expressed my concern about the lack of communication. Initially, he seemed frustrated, and I couldn't understand why he was upset with me. After leaving to drop off food for my child, I returned for coffee and spoke to him again to clarify the situation. He was very polite and apologized for any misunderstanding, confirming that someone had been in our room due to the towel mix-up. I mentioned that I understood mistakes happen, but I felt the lack of communication was unfortunate. I also pointed out other issues with our room, including a slow-draining shower, low water pressure, and a showerhead that wouldn't fully turn off, mentioning that they might want to send maintenance to check these after we checked out. On a positive note, the sink water pressure was excellent. After breakfast, we went for a swim before showering, packing our bags, and checking out. Let's be honest, this is one of the more budget-friendly options within the Hilton brand, so it's important to set realistic expectations. Despite the hiccups, I was genuinely happy with how the situations were handled. Considering we got an excellent rate on the room, we weren't upset. If we had paid full price for the experience, we probably would have been more disappointed. The staff was very courteous and even added bonus points to my Hilton account as a gesture of goodwill. Everyone was polite and friendly, and the breakfast attendant was diligent in refilling any items that ran out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return if the price was right.

My first room I noticed that the AC unit was leaking water or something on the floor, I let the front desk know and they moved me right away, actually to an upgraded larger room, which was nice. I typically always stay at Hampton's while traveling, it is a nice hotel and has good value. They offer free parking as well as free breakfast daily at a decent price. They are clean, safe and comfortable. My room was a king with a fold out couch. It also had a bar area and sink. The rooms always have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge which is great for your stay. This location has a pool and a gym as well. I did not get a pic of the pool, but I did get pics of the gym. The gym is small, but works, but the reason this location is getting 4 stars and not 5 is they were missing many of their dumbbells, I made it work, but they did not have any that were over 35 pounds. I typically try to pick a hotel that has a nice gym and I was disappointed a bit with this one, but I think they could easily improve this and get 5 stars next time. If they added a Precor weight machine, then it would be a no brainer. If you are traveling and need a nice clean, comfortable spot that does not break the bank, I would recommend this location. Enjoy!

It's an old historic building so, things happen. The knocking though quickly turned into a roar. We contacted the front desk and this is where the true professionalism of the hotel crew, and particularly Maria, shined through. Maria quickly came upstairs, assessed the situation, triaged with other teams inside the hotel, and identified a solution within 20 minutes. Given the scope of the repair was unclear at the time, she moved us to another room and even upgraded us (even though she didn't have to!) for the inconvenience. Things happen, that's not an issue for us, it's how the team addresses them when they come up. The Darling team rose to the occasion with flying colors so seamlessly in this situation, especially Maria. So for us, just underscores a series of positive experiences at the hotel. This isn't an ultra luxury 5-star hotel, so don't come here expecting that. It was extremely hot during our August trip, so having cold water, coffee, and tea available in the lobby was a great touch. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, too. Since it's an older Quality Inn, the wall AC unit was very loud and kept turning on and off throughout the night, which made it a bit hard to sleep, also the ceiling fan definitely helped with cooling off the room.
