Stayed here over the weekend and the rooms are very nice and clean. The staff, Veronica I believe, made my check in very quick and easy and made sure to accommodate me to my needs. Thank you so much!

Leg rash from the bed on my 1st visit

I've been staying at Motel 6 for a couple weeks temporarily. The prices are decent but you get what you pay for. So far I've been to three different rooms and they don't seem too bad at first glance. All the ladies at the front desk were very helpful when I checked in and checked out. All these pros and cons are not exaggerated. PROS: *Check in and check out was quick *Comfortable beds *Free WiFi & Cable *Cool AC *Pets stay free *Walking distance from all the main stores including Tulare Outlets *Cheap prices *Free Coffee in the office CONS: *First night I stayed, I got a bad rash on my legs that travels down my legs (picture included) *A lot of drug dealing in the area *Only one microwave in the lobby for everyone *A TON OF CREEPS *Super Loud neighbors *I got a loud banging on my room door at 4:00 in the morning and looked outside and no one was there?? *If you don't like a lot of kids in one place making a lot of noise and talking smack on you then stay away from the pool *We found stains of poop on the bed sheets and figured they were only stains until we laid down and the stench of poop and butt came to us. *Bloody pillow cases in our room (pic included) *House keeping "accidentally" took my gaming controller *Someone complained that House keeping comes into your room when you're not there to see if it's kept in good shape. If not, you'll get a room complaint. *House keeping did not change our sheets when we asked for Room Service. They flipped the sheets and pillow cases over. *We found mold in the shower on the ceiling *Showers are made for only one person *Hookers in and out of the rooms *You must lock your car because there's a big chance your car will get broken into

If I could rate this place with zero starts I would gladly do so! Everything about my stay was horrible from the rooms themselves, to the customer service ! I'm a single mom experiencing domestic violence issues and had no other place to stay so my grandpa got me a room there. The room when I walked in had a strong odor or urine , which I thought maybe had to do with the bathroom . The bed and sheets had black hairs all over ( mind you I have red hair ) , and in the shower it looked like black Pubic hair all over as well . I stayed with my children and the next day when my kids were messing around they accidentally moved the sheet off the bed only to expose huge urine stains and some other stains that looked like mold . I went to the front desk to complain and ask for a new room, the staff were extremely rude and told me I should've complained when I first got the room but I explained to them how was I supposed to know the beds were full of urine stains. They then gave me a new room which also smelled but not as strong, but for some reason there was black hairs everywhere in this room as well. It was horrible and disgusting but I had no other choice because all the other hotels were full and me and my kids had no where else to go and feared for our safety so we had to stay there . There was dog feces in the walkway to the front desk inside the building and in my first room the neighbors above had a lot of dogs which barked all night. That hotel is notorious for prostitutes and drug addicts so I'm not surprised. So before I left and checked out I complained and asked to talk to the manager who was also extremely rude, she said all she could offer me was $20 off. Anyways fast forward to last week, my friend house that I had started staying at , I got locked out of . So there I was in the Same predicament as before, all the other hotels were full and Motel 6 was the only hotel available so I go and try to check out a room with my grandpa and low and behold they have us on a block from staying there ! I'm guessing because we complained, wow horrible that place should be shut down everything about it is a joke it's disgusting it's trash and the workers there are trash! I will definitely be filing a complaint online to corporate as well !

Absolutely disgusting .. I'm not sure why I didn't check on yelp before I booked this room. There is literally dead bugs on the floor, poop on the toilet and pubes in the sink! This room was so disgusting these people should ashamed of themselves. Yes of course I'm reporting them silly!!! I contacted the better business bureau and the local fire department. They don't even have fully charged fire extinguishers.... I took pictures of everything .... need I say more ... be safe out there guys!

Had a long drive and wanted to break it up, so we stopped here for the night and were pleasantly surprised when they threw in an all you can eat hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast, waffles, coffee, juice, fruit and other things that escape me. Considering what it costs to eat out these day, that is an added value we could not overlook. The bed was comfortable, and though this is NOT a fancy resort, the 5 stars is for what Best Western provides for the dollars spent at this location.

Best Western Town & Country Lodge was the nearest location to the event, safe neighborhood, and that was rated more than a 2-Star. For a 3-Star hotel, they meet the standard amenities. They even have an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub was out of service at the time of my visit. PROS -Self parking on the premises with cameras. -Near my event with restaurants nearby. -Reasonable price. -Free breakfast. CONS -Noise at night from the busy road. -Walls are paper thin. -I smelled Coffee at 6 AM! Why? -No blackout curtains. -Loud AC unit made random clicking sound. Overall, my stay was fine for one night. If I was to stay more than one night, I would ask for the a room in the back of the premises because I was woken up a couple of times by sirens and loud noise. I'm also a light sleeper. My room was on the second floor near the front desk. Although the room is dated, I can tell it was recently painted and upgraded with new furnishings. Well maintained and clean. The room is spacious and had all the basic amenities, plus a microwave! Complimentary breakfast 6-9 AM daily with a good variety. Coffee, tea, juice, waffle maker, toaster with bread, bagel and muffin, cereals and hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages and biscuits and gravy. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they seem friendly.

My first room I noticed that the AC unit was leaking water or something on the floor, I let the front desk know and they moved me right away, actually to an upgraded larger room, which was nice. I typically always stay at Hampton's while traveling, it is a nice hotel and has good value. They offer free parking as well as free breakfast daily at a decent price. They are clean, safe and comfortable. My room was a king with a fold out couch. It also had a bar area and sink. The rooms always have a microwave, coffee maker and fridge which is great for your stay. This location has a pool and a gym as well. I did not get a pic of the pool, but I did get pics of the gym. The gym is small, but works, but the reason this location is getting 4 stars and not 5 is they were missing many of their dumbbells, I made it work, but they did not have any that were over 35 pounds. I typically try to pick a hotel that has a nice gym and I was disappointed a bit with this one, but I think they could easily improve this and get 5 stars next time. If they added a Precor weight machine, then it would be a no brainer. If you are traveling and need a nice clean, comfortable spot that does not break the bank, I would recommend this location. Enjoy!

Cory at PM FA was awesome...made me feel a home at check in and offered to move me after the breaker tripped. I turned it down since I was already unpacked. The morning FA and Food attendant greeted me. Very welcoming. Room 104 They loose 1 star due the rhe circuit breaker tripping when I was microwaving my dinner and plugged in my laptop. I wanted to inquire further about amenities and other considerations including the deposit "incidentals". For the record the definition of "incidentals" should be understood further throughout the hospitality industry. Incidental fees are minor, ancillary expenses or temporary deposit holds associated with a larger transaction--most commonly encountered during travel. Upon greeting the employee at the front desk. I began inquiring further about the information that I wanted to obtain before establishing a final agreement. However he was quick to cut off my questions as if I was some inexperienced traveler. He first told me that they were "sold out of" their I guess "standard" entry level "rooms" aka lowest level option. Implying that only option "double bed suite" that was actually available was a higher rate. Which made me feel like he was suggesting that would be out of my price bracket. I had to reference the fact that I have retained lifetime statutes with Hilton and Marriott just to confirm the fact that I am well traveled and not inexperienced in the process of my inquiries. I then brought out my phone to see what rooms were available via the app. The information stated the "double bed suite" which is what he was referring to. The price was $117 (plus tax $129); or $122 (plus tax $134). I showed him what I was seeing on my end of the app. He said if you want to book the room in app, I guess that is fine but if you book now at the front desk the room is $144 (with tax). I said what? He said oh that is not with incidentals. Then he showed me some paper on a clipboard as if that they had a policy for incidentals. I said again I am well traveled and well aware that "incidentals" are supposed to listed as a separate charge on an itemized statement. I said well would you like to disclose that information to me at this point in time. He said "$150.00". I said $150.00 for a choice hotel?! With check out at 11 am?! Honestly It wasn't even about the incidentals it was the way he said it as if that price was even justifiable? Where is the rationale in the demand factor? You do realize that the room was less than $150.00 but you expect a deposit that is MORE than the price of room with taxes?! I said "thank you for your time today but I'll gladly go back to my LIFETIME STATUSES." I rather enjoy my earned 2 or 4 pm late check out time with only a $25 to $50 deposit over this level of incompetence, ANY DAY!

The rooms are always clean, the Elderwood is an ice touch, and the vibe is always fun. During this trip, all was fine when what sounded like the HVAC system above our room started to knock. It's an old historic building so, things happen. The knocking though quickly turned into a roar. We contacted the front desk and this is where the true professionalism of the hotel crew, and particularly Maria, shined through. Maria quickly came upstairs, assessed the situation, triaged with other teams inside the hotel, and identified a solution within 20 minutes. Given the scope of the repair was unclear at the time, she moved us to another room and even upgraded us (even though she didn't have to!) for the inconvenience. Things happen, that's not an issue for us, it's how the team addresses them when they come up. The Darling team rose to the occasion with flying colors so seamlessly in this situation, especially Maria. So for us, just underscores a series of positive experiences at the hotel. This isn't an ultra luxury 5-star hotel, so don't come here expecting that. But it's a great place to stay in Visalia with a premium, boutique vibe, great restaurant, and clean well apportioned rooms. We will be back.

Room service was good quality, appropriately priced and arrived quickly. The only reason I couldn't give this 5 stars was there was no internal secondary lock on the door which made it feel a little unsafe as a solo traveler and also there were not clear instructions about how to enter the gated parking lot upon checking in. Otherwise I had a good stay and would consider visiting again just to eat at the restaurant.
