Today was my fist time at a Mother's Nutritional Center and I decided to go to the La Mirada location because of the great reviews, the reviews do not lie. Andrea (newest member) was extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable while shopping, she explained everything and answered all my questions. At the end she even helped bring my groceries to my car, I did not expect that and really appreciate it it. They had a great selection of produce and it was all fresh! Every-time I've came to Mothers the workers always encouraged me to place a mobile order and come pick up since I have two babies. I usually do that but today that I came to get my order Desire brought out everything in a cart and a box on the side and asked me to load my box with my stuff into my car. . . She said they only load the groceries into the box themselves when it's going into the trunk... that was odd as I've been coming here religiously since last year to get all my momma needs... what's the point of pre ordering for pick up if that's the case? read more

Yesterday was my first time going to mothers. I was extremely nervous because I didn't know what food qualified and or how to use my card. I was helped by Andrea Cardova! She literally helped me through the wholeee thing! my anxiety was completely gone. she even helped me and my mom to my car, I was extremely thankful. Today was my first time experiencing the curbside pickup option and it was so nice to not have to get out of the car to take my toddler inside to go shopping. My order was correct and the customer service was perfect. Josie assisted me with my order today and she was very sweet and attentive. I needed to make an adjustment to my order and she was so kind and did not even hesitate to assist me with the modification. Today I actually had a pretty rough day and this was the last thing I had to do before I got home and she just totally made my day just being so polite and helping me with my order. I love this place! Very friendly staff and always helpful. I like how I can pick out my already bagged produce and the prices are affordable. They have avocados (my fav!) onions, bell pepper, celery and more. Everything is clean and organized. I feel "happy" when I walk in there. It's a pleasant experience. They have a wide range of product, so I know I can make a quick stop and get my essentials. I don't have to make that long stop at the grocery just to get milk. I absolutely love coming here. I was recommended by a friend who frequents the Anaheim location which I have also been to and they were all amazing but this one is just closer to where I live. I come here to use my WIC vouchers and it's just so convenient and welcoming. It's always very clean and organized. If you're new to doing WIC shopping, you know that it can get confusing because at regular grocery stores things get moved around and suddenly you're at the register with an item that isn't WIC approved and you're getting eye rolls from everyone behind you. Or you're buying fruits and vegetables and miscalculated and now you're coming up short and you don't want to get out of line but you also don't want to skimp yourself. Well here, everything is specifically designed for WIC approved items, they have a large variety of options to choose from and the fruits and vegetables are priced so you're not weighing things and guessing how much it will come out to. On top of that, it's cheap and very fresh. I've never had something go bad on me. The cashiers are very sweet and they even help you out to your car. I love what they do here! I remember holding up lines in the grocery store and not always being able to find what was specified on the checks. (That was 8 & 12 years ago). I just had a third child and this is such a revolutionary store, they cater specifically to the checks and your in and out in under 10min. I also like the free gift they give you, anything extra goes a long way in my kitchen. The only thing I need to suggest is "Please start selling jelly" I get bread and peanut butter, it would be such a convenience to be able to buy a jar of jelly. I ordered my items online for curbside. I called the store to notify them of my arrival and requested my curbside order. I was told by the staff who answered that the tablet was not working and I would have to come inside. I explained I had my pet with me, and I could not leave him alone in the vehicle. She apologized but did not offer any solution or assistance. I then inquired if the process would be quick, and she said there were "quite a few customers", so she recommended I come inside in 5 minutes. I waited 5 minutes, went inside, and the line was to the door. I now understand why they tablet was conveniently out of order. They simply did not want to spare the manpower to have someone help a curbside order when there were so many customers inside. If it were true that the tablet was out of order, why wouldn't they have called me ahead of time to notify me. People order curbside for a reason. They cannot come inside! I had my pet with me. In the end, I chose my pet over my order. read more

This is the Only place I ever use my WIC vouchers at. Very friendly and attentive staff. The place is clean and has a tiny play table for your kids. Produce is fresh. I do recommend checking your milk dates. A few times I got milk and it had an expiration within a week. Of course, didn't notice until I was home already. So will definitely be checking on that. Overall, love the place and especially now that I can pre order mostly everything (except produce) for pick-up on the app. read more

All I have to say is WOW. Did not know this place existed until one of their ads popped up on my Instagram. I was skeptical of trying them at first because I had never heard anyone talk about them. I had been wanting to give them a try but saw no reason as I do most of my shopping at Northgate/Costco. That is until the other day. My son was running low on whole milk and I think I speak for all moms when I say it is a hassle sometimes to get ready, get your kid ready, and go to the store. You have to deal with lines, your kid acting up, etc. Well absolutely NOWHERE do they do drive up groceries that accept WIC. Not Target, not Walmart, not Northgate. I remembered seeing this place on Instagram so I checked their page out and saw they do curbside and accept WIC and EBT! I went online, placed my order which was just a gallon of milk and they texted me it was ready to pick up almost 10 minutes after I placed the order! Now I'll be honest, the store is located in a not so nice parking lot, there are some homeless people I saw, not a very busy lot, but it's on a busy main street. Anyway, I parked, called the number they texted me, and I was greeted very nicely by a lady who surprised me when she gave me options to choose from for a free gift. I was offered green onions, beans, cherry tomatoes, tuna, a few more I forgot. I chose beans so she told me to wait a bit while she got my things together. She came out with a tablet and let me swipe my WIC card and I was good to go! Such a very easy and convenient process, I wish I had given this place a try sooner! Such a neat option for moms who are on a time crunch or just don't want to deal with taking their kids to the grocery store lol I will DEFINITELY be placing more online orders for curbside! read more

I really like this place. They are not annoyed if you use your WIC coupons (in fact, that's the main reason they are there). I feel like they have great prices on fruits and veggies, which is great because that's the only WIC item where price counts. My only negatives are that brand selection isn't great and they don't have sharp cheddar cheese. For that reason I only use certain coupons there and go to a different store for the others. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful and they have little activities on the wall for the kids to play with. They also have a tv, although a movie is only playing about half the time. Definitely worth checking out if you have WIC or if you're just looking to get fruits and veggies. read more

This place is not very accommodating to children. What kind of customers do they expect. Women with out children. Had my son sitting in one of the carts while I was shopping, place was empty, was asked to return cart. My son got distracted and I had to leave. Couldn't even finish my shopping. read more
