Mother's Nutritional Center is supposed to be a convenient place to purchase California-grown produce, but unfortunately my experience has been consistently uncomfortable and frustrating because of one cashier, Makayla. I come to this location several times a month and have been helped by multiple other cashiers with absolutely no issues. However, every single time Makayla rings me up, there is suddenly a "problem" with my transaction. What makes this even more upsetting is watching her ring up other customers using the same form of payment with no issues at all, yet when it comes to me, it feels like new rules are magically created on the spot. The judgmental looks, condescending tone, and the way she speaks to me, my mother, and anyone who comes with me is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. No customer should feel targeted, singled out, or treated unfairly while simply trying to shop. After dealing with this behavior repeatedly, it's clear this is not a one-time misunderstanding. Management should not allow employees to treat customers this way. It creates a hostile and uncomfortable environment and reflects poorly on the entire store. If this behavior continues, I will be speaking directly with management because no paying customer deserves to be treated with this level of disrespect. read more

Love this location! They're always helpful and dont make me feel embarrassed for using my WIC card they go through the list and make sure I get everything and I love the free gift and the end got a pack of tortillas for free ! Anyways they're wonderful and they even offer to take ur groceries to your car infact they insisted. It was my first time here at this store, they have amazing customer service. I wish I would of gotten their names, the ladies that helped me were just perfect. This store is kept very clean, you can tell employees take pride in their work. The young lady behind the counter explained to me how things worked and rang me up. I can't tell you how much I loved this experience rather then going to a big grocery store and forgetting something or them running out of an item I need. The selection of fruits and veggies was great. They also helped me out to my car at the end. They also informed me I could call ahead to make things faster but I still needed to come in and pick out my fruits and veggies and of course pay. What a great service especially for a busy mom. I've been coming to this location for a bit over a year & im so glad I found this place! It makes shopping with the WIC card so easy, as opposed to shopping in a supermarket holding up lines. As soon as you walk in here one is Always greeted by a smiling staff member. They're always super helpful & friendly when it comes to choosing out the things for you. The store always looks so clean, especially now during this COVID pandemic they're taking lots of precautions to provide a safe, clean shopping experience. I really love this place . The people are so nice and helpful there . They are always courteous and have wonderful manners. It can be stressful being a mom, but they take some of the weight off when I come in to use my WIC and that makes my day. They have also taken my order by phone and had it ready within 15 minutes . One thing is lately their produce (fruit) has been a little off. However ; their veggie selection is always good such as lettuce , green onion, cabbage. Those are always good, and also they always give you a gift when you shop. I can't really say a bad thing. We enjoy shopping here. The employees are nice and friendly and we love how easy it is to get all the qualifying items. We would only recommend to shop for fruit and veggies somewhere else. Sadly we've noticed that sometimes the fruit even though it looks good, it's either rotten or doesn't tastes good. You can take the bad fruit back with receipt but it's not always convenient to drive back to the store. read more

I like how small and convenient this place is The staff is usually friendly However this morning I came in here to pick up some fruit and was the only customer in the small store as I walked over to pay some lady rushed in with her two kids and started talking loudly about the wait time at WIC. Since there were two girls at the register and I was not in a hurry I decided to wait for the other girl to help me but instead of helping me with my basket of fruit she started talking to the lady who had just barged in, so one was helping her and the other one was having this pointless conversation about wic while I stood there for no less than 10 minutes waiting to pay for my items. I am not paying with wic so I could and should have just taken my business elsewhere. The heavy set girl with glasses who also was not wearing a name tag, so I don't know her name. She ignored me during her entire conversation and when she was done she finally acknowledged me and motioned that she could now help me. Pretty bad customer service for potential clients. I've been coming here for 3 years. Since I was pregnant and had WIC and it's been wonderful! Everyone is always very welcoming and nice. They have a good variety of food options and the best part is almost everything is WIC Approved so you don't have to waste time at other stores wondering if it will or won't qualify. Only thing I wish they did offer is more organic options. But over all very happy with this location. Ps they always offer a free gift depending on how much you buy. read more

I went here for the first time to exchange my vouchers. I'm a new mom and when I asked questions they really did not give me a direct answer. Their produce isn't the most fresh and the lady that helped me there was very rude to me. The expiration of the milk was within a week from when I got it and I had four gallons of milk to drink!!!
