My dad has a record player that he likes so much from his old days but he has his records in a box. I figured this record cube would be a good addition to his collection. As both a curator of vintage pieces at his store, and a master furniture builder himself, Brian's taste is impeccable. I bought a pair of classic Heywood Wakefield 1950s bookcases from him in perfect condition for a surprisingly good price and then had him build a rosewood credenza with powder-coated metal legs. Honestly it turned out like a showpiece, to the exact size I needed for my dining room, and more affordable than buying one already made. This is why I'm giving such a high review. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I rarely feel the need to write reviews but I made an account especially for this place. Let me start of by saying that it is run by incompetent people that have absolutely no idea how to run a business. It's one of two, either they don't know anything about the furniture business or they try running a fast one on their customers. They tried to tell me a piece was lacquer when it was obvious to me that it was spray painted. Then they say their pieces are solid when they are NOT. Not only do they lie to your face about their items but online they're constantly false advertising that their pieces are "exclusive" and "original" when they are clear copies of pieces that other stores carry. I called them out on their Instagram and the owner who's a douchebag replied to me, admitting that other stores do in fact carry that same design. So it isn't an "original" or an "exclusive" like you claim, is it? To top it off about 5 minutes after his response to my comment, I received a friend request from a family member of his... how do I know it was a family member? The female on the profile picture was posing with a kid and a dog. The same kid and dog the owner constantly posts on their Instagram. But wait, that's not all. Upon further investigation and a little lurking on their Instagram I discovered that they also write fake yelp reviews for themselves. You guys see that positive 5star review from an "Ingre A."..... that's his wife!. Don't trust any of the 5 star reviews. What a pathetic business based on lies. A few days ago I bought two neon signs that came new in boxes. I saw no signs indicating a zero return policy, and was never told that they don't accept returns. I decided after getting home that they didn't really work for my space and I didn't really need them. Two days later I took the unopened neon art back to initiate a return. The shop owner very bluntly refused to allow me to return them, even after I explained the situation. He said he only accepts returns for items with which their is an issue. Overall, I was very frustrated and disappointed with how I was treated and communicated with. Also, what legitimate business doesn't accept a return, especially after never informing a customer about the return policy or posting a sign?? Also, this place has very high prices for sub par furniture. Their furniture restorations are shoddy at best. read more

This store has both amazing mid century pieces and trendy pieces. We bought a set of matching nightstands and are so impressed with the craftsmanship. The owner was so nice and helped us carry out the nightstands to our car. Definitely recommend coming here if you want a quality piece of furniture and are in LA. read more

BEWARE: Unreliable UPS Access Point! I had 2 boxes there, didn't know it, they only gave me one, and sent the other back to sender. My delivery was shipped as 2 parcels (I didn't realize it was 2 of 2). When I arrived on Sat., they gave me one but never mentioned the other. I later realized I was missing items and discovered the second package/tracking number. The very next day, they RETURNED the parcel TO SENDER! Never told me they even had it in the first place. (Rudely, they chose the return reason as "The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery." Oh, really?) When I called to inquire, they had no explanation, no apology, and didn't acknowledge anything except what we already knew --that I never got it and they don't have it. Look around their store and you'll see why they're scrounging for extra income -- their wares look like a garage sale. Don't use them for UPS deliveries! read more

Moti Roma is the BEST find in Echo Park/Silver Lake. The shop is chock full of beautiful mid-century modern furniture and hand made items that look mid-century. We also had our sofa re-upholstered by Moti Roma and they did a fantastic job, they were fast, convenient -- they picked our sofa up and returned it to our living room, and the price is more than fair. We are extremely happy with the craftsmanship and customer service. I cannot recommend this shop enough for your furniture needs. Thank you Moti Roma! read more

The owner is obnoxious and rude. The furniture quality is subpar, and the prices are not cheap at all. The place is dirty and it smells strongly of weed. They also take the entire sidewalk with their furniture and they get belligerent when asked politely to move it, he even had the gall to ask me where I was from, as if that is relevant. I was went on a hunt for some furniture for my house and i came up with this little gem in echo park.....the furniture is great the customer service really is superb.... They delivered to my house for almost nothing and i live like 20 minutes away....the guy briam was super nice when he delivered the furniture he even helped me mount my tv to the wall for free since i had bought 3 pieces from them i am truly grateful for them and may God bless them and their business my son went nuts when he got home and saw his room!!!! read more
