I didn't know what to expect for my first adjustment..but the doctor was informative..helpful and approached my questions with knowledge and expertise. I would recommend coming in here for an adjustment, a consultation, or even a general question. The doctor is very helpful in that regard. The place also has pilates and two massage rooms if that is your cup of tea. I would suggest calling to make an appointment as well because the doctor can get busy at times. Feel asleep on a soft couch -- woke up to serious stiffness. Tried to help myself by hanging from a pullup bar. Stiffness got worse. He runs a wonderful business that continues to have numerous regulars whether for his services or for the massage therapists that work within his walls, which includes the amazing Evan Mack. His practice takes insurance and that includes the massage therapists as well. Even if you do not have insurance, his prices are comparable especially when you account for the quality of work that you are getting done. Dr. Leknickas has helped me tremendously. He's been able to get movement in my locked-up lower spine, which has helped my arthritis-related hip and leg pain. He also discovered and continues to loosen kinks in my middle back and neck that I wasn't aware of. He's very thorough; he'll review your medical history, medications, etc. to decide the best course of treatment for you. Another reason for this recommendation - he customizes his care, treating you based on the symptoms you're currently experiencing, rather than simply repeating the same treatment from last time. And he never gives you the bum's rush. Other pluses - a reasonable fee structure and free parking in the back. There is a massage therapist and an acupuncturist on site, as well. read more

Dr. Amanda was phenomenal. She mare me feel very comfortable. When I finally came in I could barely move with no motion left, right or up and down in my neck. My back was spastic and my entire left shoulder was in pain. The morning of I couldn't get up out of bed without help because the sharp pain was too much... Dr. Amanda immediately knew what to do and said I had rib dysfunction. She popped them back in and realigned my neck & back. She said my muscle spasm will be much better the next day. Leaving the office I was a 100x better. The day after my muscle spasm was 50-70% better. I saw her once more two or three days later and she did the same thing. Two days after that appointment I feel great! I just have to focus on sleeping in a good position because that seems to trigger some pain again the next morning- it might be that I'm still healing I'm not sure how it works. But at the end of the day I'm much better again UPDATE: i went back to this practice several times but Amanda was no longer there, so I had to change doctor and I went with dr Po. He adjusted me probably more than 5 times with no longterm improvement. I started to get really worried. My back kept giving me problems - in fact the pain spread to the other side of my back. The last session I had I was in more pain the following day and my back and ribs were cramping up. I then decided to go somewhere else. At this new place it took ONE session to take my pain away (80% improvement). At this point my entire left arm was stiff and in a spasm. I had several spots in my back that had huge knots and my shoulders felt like they were on fire. I had two more sessions at the other place and I'm back to normal. I haven't had any problems since. It took the other chiropracter 2 weeks, while I was suffering under Dr Po's care for nearly 2 months. The chiropracter at the other practice also gave me tips and exercises to do to prevent future injuries. I do feel like after getting proper treatment that I wasted my money at this practice. What bothered me about Dr Po's approach was he was too nonchalant about my injury and said "it happens" - he kept referring to the "phone" and looking down at it. I felt uncomfortable with the "it happens" reason since I'm very young and I never had any back or neck problems before then. I know it was from a sport injury but I stopped the sport immediately when I got the problems. So for the treatments not to work it's easy to blame "looking at the phone". I was immediately better at this other place. "It happens" doesn't work on someone my age. read more

Great experience overall. The initial exam / interview was very thorough, and the office is clean, modern, and comfortable. Dr. Po is very polite and explains what he's doing and why. But most importantly, his diagnosis and method of treatment has been extremely effective for my issues. I've been to other chiros, PT, and a surgeon...none of who actually diagnosed my issue properly, apparently, as Dr. Po figured out the root cause of my pain on day one, treated it, and my pain disappeared almost instantly. That was something I didn't think was possible considering my injury history, and experience with other treatments. Highly recommended. I found Dr. Leknickas by chance. I had recently lost my insurance and my prior chiropractor and was looking for a new one. I was driving down Ocean Park Blvd and saw the banner for chiropractic care and called immediately! I even went in that same day and met with Dr. L, he was great! I have been going ever since. I'm very active- I run, hike, do boxing, yoga, pilates, etc. but I'm also very clumsy and get hurt a lot! Without chiropractic care I would be in a lot of pain but now I have Dr. L to put me back together and he does just that everytime I see him! April 29, 2016 I scheduled an appointment yesterday and gave the receptionist my insurance information over the phone. Today she texted me and asked for my DOB, which I thought was odd. When I arrived at the office this afternoon, I was told my insurance was out of network and I would have to pay cash to be treated. I asked the Dr. Po why are you just now telling me now. His response was,"You have an EPO and we only take PPO. EPO is a nicer name than HMO, you actually have to contact your carrier to verify who accepts your insurance", My question was not answered.. I could have walked away, but I was in pain and I decided to pay cash for treatment. Yelp peeps, do you think this was an ethical way of conducting business? May 6th, 2016. I received a follow up call from Dr. Po asking my if I was feeling better. I let him know that I was doing good and my hip pain was just about gone. He went on to mention that he was concerned with my Yelp review and I asked him if he felt it was inaccurate. He said his receptionist Maria had only been at the job for a little over a month and she doesn't usually handle insurance. I went to Dr. Po after years of lower back discomfort. At my initial visit, Dr. Po explained the adjustment process and answered all my questions. After my first visit I noticed a difference. I signed up for a series of treatments and I am very pleased. My back feels better and my mobility has also improved. He is very thorough and takes his time. He stretches your problem areas and then proceeds with the adjustment. I was so pleased with the service that I also brought my mother who had been suffering from arthritis pain and sciatic nerve pain. She is also pleased with her results. Her pain has significantly decreased and her mobility has gotten a lot better. I think he's a great doctor, but I would recommend him only to cash clients or in-network patients. Dr Po is a great chiropractor, but confusion over insurance billing left me feeling unsatisfied. After repeated assurance from Dr Po about my insurance coverage, it turned out to be a different story. I understand that insurance companies are fickle and a headache for doctors and patients alike, but I felt in this case that expectations set by Dr Po weren't realistic, looking back. It doesn't help that it was months before my claims were submitted, and it was not a visit or two, but 20 or so before the actual insurance benefits were determined. If he does take your insurance, verify! Are you in network or out of network? What exactly is the charge? What is your potential liability down the road? When will you be certain of your rate? Going forward, it will definitely be a discussion I have with each and every doctor I see! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Po's for about 6 months and have been meaning to write this review since my first visit. 1.5 years post pregnancy I had terrible posture, felt incredibly misaligned, and had all sorts of odd pains including hip numbness and even calf tightness. With overall good health, I had passed off these little symptoms as just part of aging. But alas, I decided to get in with the orthopedist to see if s/he could identify an underlying issue. When I described my symptoms only for the receptionist to respond "ma'am, you have to pick one body part", I knew I needed a better solution. My husband encouraged I try chiropractic care. Though I was under impressed by an experience with another chiropractor, I decided to give Dr. Po a try. Wow -- I can't imagine what I would feel like right now if I had not. All of my odd body pains are gone. No numbness. No constant (mild, but constant) discomfort. Dr. Po has also helped me identify behaviors/habits that were contributing to the pain in the first place -- so he doesn't only give you a quick fix, but instead he really provides you with ways that you can sustain your body's health over time. He is a very genuine person and really comes across as being fully invested/interested in watching your health improve. Seeing him was really the best thing that I've done for my health in years. I highly recommend for any one who has any minor pain. I would definitely recommend Dr Po to friends and family. I have always been skeptical to let any chiropractor near me, terrified he or she may make things worse for me. I was experiencing consistent pain in my neck, shoulder blade, and back after getting into a car accident and my friend insisted that I go get treated by him. Of course, I reluctantly went, still afraid for him to do any adjustment on me. After we discussed the pain I was having, he took the time to explain why I was having pain and what he was going to do to help. He was very thorough explaining things to me and it was reassuring to know how knowledgeable he was. So I proceeded with the treatment and I'm so glad I did. I came in with a simple neck misalignment and he not only failed to correct that but caused an ENTIRELY NEW INJURY in my lower back. I was in tears from the pain and it has not gotten better.
