He took the time to explain what was needed for my bike and answered all my questions. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Pricing was fair. Work was done in a reasonable amount of time. He even went the extra mile to ensure all moving parts (kickstand, highway pegs, etc, things I wouldn't have thought of) were oiled and in good working condition. I don't ride much and called Global on a recommendation. I brought my bike in and he quoted me a price that I thought was high. I don't know much about repair work so I assumed he was treating me fairly as it is an older model bmw. So I stupidly authorized the repair. The quote of $2400 bothered me enough that I eventually called another shop in town and read them his list of repairs and asked for a ballpark estimate. He added it up and quoted me half of what Global charges me! I asked what it would be on the very high end and he said $1400! So I called Global and asked him to explain why he would charge double what other shops would charge. He essentially said I had agreed to the price so I had to pay it. He was right and I did. He did discount my charges by $100. He made me pay in cash because his Venmo "wasn't working". The bike runs fine but beware of this shop! Che is a one man operation--knows older bikes very well. After working for weeks on an older Honda 450 & unable to get the carb sorted, Che knocked it out in a few days. Bike runs perfect now. I will be back to see Che again with all my bikes! read more

I really recommend NOT taking your bike in to Global Rider. Let my experience be a warning to you. I took a '81 Honda CM400 in to get it into riding condition after being stored for 2 years, just a simple tune up and I also needed the carburetor cleaned up. I've had the carburetor cleaned and rebuilt before, and typically pay about two or three hundred dollars max. Che charged me $840, claimed he did a bunch of unnecessary work like cleaning the outside of the engine or replacing the battery (the battery was 1 year old, and the one he gave me looks exactly like the old one, dust and all). Then, when he told me it was ready, I came to pick it up. He gave me the bike back in pieces, the gas tank wasn't cleaned or even attached, the wheels are now wobbly (they weren't before). I had to de-rust the tank myself and buy a fuel line to attach. That's fine, I can do the work, but $840 dollars and he didn't even get it into running condition??? Che at Global Rider won't take care of you as a customer. He works out of his house, and is not a full service shop, although he will claim he can get all the work needed done when he's trying to sell you. In my experience, I can take away no other conclusion than he is a scam artist. STAY AWAY! read more
