I took my collector car to 'Motoex-Crapica' for a consignment sale - under STRICT direction that if for ANY reason they couldnt keep it inside from the weather - they should call me IMMEDIATELY ,since it is 1 of only 5 certain models built by Callaway & I would promptly return it to my shop . Well ... The car was found sitting in their gravel lot with so much dirt on it ,you could hardly tell the color ! It was delivered to them as a # 10 rated car - I brought it home as about a # 8.5 ! The sawed off runt that owns the company 'Scott' told me ''I called you a few months ago to get it'' ,RIGHT AFTER his associate Andrew ,attempted to tell me ''It only sat outside since last wednesday'' & the week before I was told ''We moved it to another building''. NOTHING BUT LIES !! I advise no one to even purchase a bicycle from them & all they can say in rebutell ... ''Im sorry your experience wasnt a good one with us'' - REALLY ? I had worked with Kevin to purchase a 1991 Bentley Turbo R. I had asked all sorts of questions about the car as it was for sale on eBay. I was told the car was in excellent shape, no issues, had been completely gone over and given a clean bill of health by their mechanic, who had gone over every system and assured me it was ready to go. Kevin had reviewed the service records and all the usual issues had been worked out. The pictures of the car did not show any of the issues I will mention below. Again I was told the car was in excellent physical and mechanical shape. I was told the car would be completely detailed and have a full tank of gas. So I booked my flight from Boston to pick up the car. I show up to pick the car and drive it back to Boston and it was like a different car. The car was dented, scuffed, rusting. Then I started the car and it was blowing white smoke, the passenger mirror didn't work and when I tried to drive the car the brakes failed. In their driveway!!! The car was not detailed, the finish was horrible, and the car had less than a quarter tank of gas. How could anyone in good conscious try and sell a car like this knowing I was going to drive it over 1000 miles! The car would not stop! Nothing I was told was true. This guy gives used car salesman a bad name. I did not end up buying the car, I had asked to be reimbursed for my travel expenses to which they have not responded. Candy store for adults and kids alike. There are fewer things cooler than being able to take your 7 year old boy to a classic car dealership and the dealer not flip out/hover over us keeping a closer eye on the boy than I already am. The quality of vehicles is outstanding and I had to leave my checkbook at home or the wife would have definitely had some words for me. Sales staff are extremely knowledgeable towards what they have and all of the cars we asked about had a background or story to it(evil knievel car and coffin?!?! too damn cool) Definitely where I'll be heading when its time for me to pick up a toy, for now its just a peasant destination to go and escape reality for a bit. read more

Huge ripoff! It was my first classic car purchase and they lied to me about working on it for months and putting so much money and time into it that it "wouldn't need anything"! They claimed that this was not a project car and that their clientele was so high end that if I didn't buy it they could find someone else to pay top price for it. I flew out from Los Angeles to see it in person and I didn't have time to bring a mechanic. Huge mistake to trust these guys! My first drive when it finally got off the truck ended in 10 minutes with it smoking and the transmission gushing out like a river of blood. I took to my mechanic who said the thing is not drivable and very very unsafe! Nearly nothing has been touched and they have painted over almost everything to make it look new. They took advantage of me coming alone to Missouri as a female. I will never buy from them again and my friends and colleagues (all classic car enthusiasts and celebrities) will be avoiding as well on eBay and in person! It is costing me almost 10k just to get this on the road. These guys have almost identical bad reviews on google maps too. Avoid like the plague! read more

I bought a 1946 panel truck from MotoeXotica based on photos and dealer description alone, and from another state, and I'm very happy. Andrew was open and honest throughout the whole process, and went above and beyond what would be expected. Although he clearly stated what some of the little problems were with the vehicle, and that it was being sold "as-is," Andrew went ahead and took care of most of them, so that was a nice bonus. He also recommended a firm nearby to place the signage I wanted on the truck, and allowed me to keep it at his dealership until that could be completed, without charging storage. I purchased a 1969 Triumph Trident motorcycle from this dealer off of their Ebay site on 9/2016. The bike was listed as a recent mechanical and cosmetic restoration, bike runs well, 60 miles since restoration. My contact was Andrew Stafford. When I received the machine it was hard to start, ran for a minute then stalled. When shifting through the gears the transmission stuck in top gear and wouldn't return. None of the lights or horn worked. The rear brake light switch was missing and the brake wires dangling. A complaint to the company fell on deaf ears.This is as bad a misrepresentation I've ever seen. Dishonest is too kind. read more

I also have to agree with the other reviews. I bought a car that I had never seen in person, but the photos looked great so I went for it. I asked many questions to make sure that mechanically everything was working properly. I was assured during multiple conversations that the car received a 160 something point exam and that the engine, gauges, lights, etc. were in working order. What a load of crap!!!! There are only two gauges in the vehicle and both were broken! Most of the interior lights do not work. It is a wiring problem still not resolved. The engine had the wrong belt in it as well as idling problems. The battery which is located under the rear seat was the wrong battery for the car and was a major fire hazard!! There is much more but I'm getting tired of typing. I have spent a ton of money trying to fix everything. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THAT ANYONE FROM MOTOEXOTICA TELLS YOU!!!!!!!!!! read more

Unfortunately I must agree with others who have posted less than favorable reviews about this company. I purchased a 2007 BMW M6 from Moto Exotica in October. The car was delivered with a major oil leak of which they were kind enough to split the bill. In addition to this, the car required another $1,200 worth of maintenance like a new battery, brake fluids, etc. Within 10 days, the car had to be towed back into the shop due to a faulty DME board. In total, I dropped $4000 in repairs on the car in the first 3 weeks of ownership. Needless to say, I had no option but to trade the car for something much more reliable. This step cost me even more money. My opinion is this company is NOT above board when it comes to selling cars; therefore, I would agree with the other posts and NOT recommend dealing with them. read more

so on 8-10-15 I text Jamie about my brakes going out, this is the type of Horrible treatment given to customers by this place. I was stupid enough to buy a vehicle at Mecum auction that Moto exotica had sent to the Kansas City auction. I bought it based on the pictures as it was on the auction block . The first thing I found out was the pictures of the interior and the engine bay didn't even match the vehicle. That was my bad. But it was a unplanned spur of the moment purchase. After trying to take the vehicle away from the auction, it immediately ran out of gas before I could even exit the building. Then upon further inspection it turned out to be one of the most dangerous vehicles I have ever experienced. The body was barely even attached to the frame whatsoever. Even where it was attached it was rusty so bad that it could have completely come off the frame at any moment. The engine was being held in place, not by motor mounts mind you, but with a log chain. A small one at that. The issues turned out to be way too numerous to mention in this post. A few are, leaking gas, bad brakes, leaking master cylinder, totally unsafe steering suspension, etc etc etc. After doing extensive work to it to try to get it at least somewhat road ready, I put it on eBay to sell it. I had a guy interested in it and he asked to see is a title. When he saw Moto exotica on the title, it killed the deal instantly. He said "I would never buy anything that came from those shysters" Overall I lost thousands of dollars. But at least I can sleep at night knowing that I got it to the point where it was at least somewhat safe to drive. I share your disappointment and disgust with dealing with MotoeXotica classic Car Sales located in Fenton MO. I purchased a 1962 Ford Thunderbird from them in May 2015. Their advertisement stated the car was "-completely restored-" and ready to "-get out and drive-". None of that was true. Since receiving the car, I have realized the car was not restored and, in fact, not even safe to drive (total brake failure, etc.). I have spent over $18,000 locally to bring the car up to a functional condition, but presently it is not even drivable due to more recently discovered deficiencies. I have filed a complaint with Attorney General Consumer Protection, State of Missouri. If more customers would let the AG know about their MotoeXotica experience, some appropriate action might take place at the State level to resolve the situation. read more

I just called on a 1971 Corvette after receiving an email from THEM on my Ebay bidding. I spoke with Joe Burgarello. I know Corvettes, and he proceeded to tell me that "they are plastic and they all crack like that", no they don't. I tried to ask some questions on the motor rebuild and got told "it was done from top to bottom", after asking a reasonable "was it bored out?" he replied "how am I supposed to know, I have over 300 cars here". The rest of the conversation was no better...after me politely trying to get off the phone, he hung up in the middle of my sentence. I could not imagine doing business with this man. Contacted Joe concerning a Mustang listed on eBay with some questions about the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Received a reply that I would be contacted on Monday morning with the answers. I tried to contact Joe on Monday prior to noon and left a voicemail. Joe returned my call and told me that he was too busy to get back to me. I informed Joe that I was interested in purchasing the vehicle but wanted photos of the bottom, he assured me that he would get them to me Tuesday morning which was prior to the end of the auction, never happened. When the auction ended I was the high bidder but below the reserve but once again had left him several voicemails that I was looking to purchase the car with no call back. I finally reached him at 6:00 pm and he informed me that another salesman sold the car to someone in the U.K. After a discussion about him skating me on the car he told me that they did not want to see any pictures so they sold it on Monday night even though the auction still had 18 hours left on it. They ripped me off Advertized a car on ebay with show quality paint and no problems. The paint has a 4 inch crack on the trunk. The car arrived with no lower control arm bushings and the ball joint nuts loose on both sides The trans leaks as does the oil pan and rear end, the front grill was broken loading it. That's a 500.00 replacement Thousands in repairs necessary and all they offered was a check for 350.00. I made the mistake of not buying it on ebay at least I would have had some protection if I had.
