Tucked away this is a place you have to hear about to find. Lots of helmets on the floor & on display but poorly organized with very sketchy help. Place looks old & run down with the disappointment of what you find on the floor is all they have. Was looking for the Schuberth helmet brand which they don't apparently carry. Counter guy said they were treated poorly by the manufacturer. Prices were unexpectedly high as well. Very disappointing. read more

The picture matched what I needed exactly, however what they sent is not even close. I understand that things can happen sometimes, so I emailed in order to return my order and got absolutely no response. Ended up meeting 1 guy who seemed to know his stuff, but the rest were obviously not bike people. Purchased oil, filter (POS one that I didnt use), and swing arm sliders. There's A LOT here, and it's a bit of a struggle to get through all of the inventory. Employees here are not exactly professional and it's a gamble getting someone who actually knows what he's talking about. I've been here a few times and though each visit was good purely because I enjoy riding, as a business, this place is lacking. Selection from dirt to street is impressive and the prices are also pretty low, but it's not a pleasant experience coming here. Every time I've come, I've found myself wondering, "Why am I here? I could just order everything off of Revzilla." If you need something in a pinch, call ahead and do some research before you call because you don't know who you're going to get on the phone. But, I will say that if you're clear in what you want and bring in part numbers (not hard to find on something called "the internet"), then you'll get good service. 3 stars not because this place is bad. 3 stars because it's nothing special but it gets the job done. read more

Surprisingly, there are not many stores with a large selection of helmets in LA. I think we checked every one of them. So, since we wanted to check out the beach in Newport we swung by here on the way. I was looking for a helmet because manfriend has a motorcycle and his second helmet was too big for me, plus I wanted my own. I had brought a tire and wheel in for mounting. After I brought it home I heard womething rattling around so I thiought they left something in the tire. Turns out it was the dampers in the wheel for the drive. Alex and Ruben really came through for me as I had never had this happen and had not had any work done there except for tire mounts. Needed some riding gear for a new cr500 I got and got some fox comp boots for a really good price and I went riding that weekend and first kick of the bike starting it ripped open the entire side of the boot... I took it back even though they said no returns or exchanges on merch but they told me that they couldn't believe that happened and they told me to go pick out another boot that I liked so I picked out the fox comp-r boots that are more pricey and they told me to just take them as a straight across trade! They let me try on all the helmets I wanted (plus a few more) with no pressure. I went home and did a ton of research & price checking, then ordered from the Motorhelmets.com website. Look for the coupon codes! If you ship to the store it is $2, but they refund it when you get to the store! I got a great deal and love the helmet! So I decided I needed a jacket. Again, went in, tried on, found the style I wanted, but not the color. So, they ordered it for me and had it shipped to my house for free!! Did I mention the discount? They beat the best price I could find by quite a bit. Oh yeah, I'm liking this place! While waiting for Cashier Dude to do his thing, I spotted some boots. Armored, slip resistant, even looks good with a dress! So I brought them to the counter. I did a quick google search on the price and he beat it by like $12!!! So I went back for gloves! Twice! Fantastic service from one person in particular (my bad for not asking for his name). Need more selection for ladies apparel though. Would go back a lot more often if it was closer to me. Online website is kind of a huge let down, being that I ordered an item, and with no notice until I called 2 weeks later, that my order was cancelled because they had no inventory. They still have not bothered removing the item from the website. I ordered something else in replacement, but it was a letdown on the pricing, which led me finally to the actual store. I live in Pismo beach ca. and recently traveled south to visit a friend in La Palma and have some work done on my new 2016 Harley Breakout at a local shop Bennetts performance. i also was in the market for a new helmet. My friend and i went from shop to shop in the OC and found a few helmets here and there. Lots of disappointments and Meager selections at best! Then we found Motorhelmets!! This place has more helmets and gear then every other shop combined! A young guy named Tyler addressed us as soon as we walked in the door. Great selection. Good customer service. Can order most parts that they don't have in stock. The main guy I talk to is Ruben. He took care of the motorcycle club I am a part of for the better half of a decade. They have lots of helmets and jackets to choose from. You can go there and try on the sizes so you can see if it fits. They have an extensive online catalog as well. If they don't have the item you want, talk to one of the guys and see if they can order it for you. Let them know what site and the cost. Usually they are willing to match or even beat the price. If they can't, they'll be up front about it. I've always liked this shop and the people here. They are always up front and don't try to up-sell you on everything you don't need. If you don't understand something, they are also willing to take the time and explain it to you. Really cool shop. I don't ride anymore so I haven't been here in a while, but I usually help my friends get gear they need and I always go here first before anywhere else. The parking lot is pretty nice. Most bikes take up the closer parking spots. It usually doesn't fill up. Sometimes they have been known to have bike events which renders the parking lot useless. So you would have to park on the street. It's a pretty big street, so if you decide to park across the street and j-walk, be careful and watch for cars. This is my #1 spot to get motorcycle gear and misc stuff for street/off road activities. read more
