Three stars for their patio/beer garden. Their beer is alright and service was ok. Not sure why, but definitely got a strange vibe and I go to a LOT of breweries. They don't have food but they do partner with a restaurant up the street and a lot of food trucks. I like that you can order from your server and they take care of contacting the restaurant and bringing you your food. The outdoor area is gorgeous and definitely a nice place to spend an afternoon/evening. Overall though, the beers were just okay. They do have a lot of beers on tap so you're more likely to find something to satisfy many different palates. I'm more of a stout drinker and I was excited to try some of their award winners, but they didn't have them on tap on this day. Would I give them another chance? Absolutely. read more

Met some friends here who frequent the place. They told us it was a bit off due to a wedding taking over the back yard area. We were given menus at the bar, once we decided on food we were told we do oils to order that because they use food trucks and there are different ones everyday. That would be fine if the bartender has told us that when he gave us a menu instead he just handed them to us and walked away. The bartenders seemed annoyed when I wanted to taste different beers? Isn't this a brewery with tasting size samples and flights? None of the beer is good or cold enough. I ordered one just because I felt obligated. Later in the night we ordered a round of shots. Shots tasted like they had zero alcohol and they probably didn't, just FYI we are in our 30's and know how shots should taste ;) Bartender charged my card an extra $4 for an upcharge on Jameson whisky without asking me??? Weird? When I asked why we were charged more than the price on the menu he simply said " that shot is usually made with Jameson so it's extra". When my friend asked a different bartender he told us they were out of the whiskey they normally use for those shots so they are offering Jameson for an upcharge. It just would've been nice if he ASKED me if I wanted to pay an additional dollar per shot for a different liquor?? I felt a little deceived by this. (I was going to leave $5 instead left $2) I was a Server/bartender for many years, I never would've just upcharged someone without even asking first.. we were chatting with friends so we hung out at an outside table. My boyfriend ordered Hennessy and received a Red Bull??? Like..?? What?? He then stated that this was the worst bar he'd ever been to.. lol.. the outside space is pretty and a nice place to chat and catch up with friends. Good beer brewed on site. Large room with lots of tables & lots of TVs. Great outdoor space with wonderful tree as a centerpiece. Went yesterday, it was very cold outside in the shade, which most of the outdoors space is shaded. Would have been nice if they put some heaters outdoors so that people would be encouraged to enjoy the outdoor space. They also allow dogs in the building & we all know, that only works if the dog owner controls the dog. There were 2 BIG dogs at a table next to us. We ordered lunch & the dogs kept creeping right up to my husband, & staring at him eating & licking their lips. That was not fun. I had the feeling that the one pit bull was going to jump up on him at any moment. I am not opposed to dogs being allowed in, but maybe they should put a weight limit on the size of dog allowed in (just an idea). They do not have a kitchen or cook food there, however, they do have a food truck that sits outside that you can order from & you can get food from a nearby Ferraro's Pizza. Two of us ordered from the food truck & it's food was good. Two of us ordered from Ferraro's Pizza & it was not good at all. Don't order from there. Oh, the pub also offers free popcorn by the basked. We asked our waitress to split the bill between us & she goofed that up, but at least it was only messed up by one drink. Overall, I would go back but I hope something is done about the large dogs that are in the building. I was on guard the whole time, waiting for a dog fight:-( read more

Whenever I visit Sarasota for work, I stay in Bradenton and Motorworks Brewing is a big reason. I always sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Live Oak that covers the entire seating area. They have more beers than I can taste is multiple visits and most of them are really good. They have a food truck parked outside and live music, good service with reasonable prices. I checked in on Yelp on got $4 on the core beers vs the $5 menu price. A must visit when in Bradenton. read more

Motor works is a great place to go for just two or a large group. I love the quality in beer, though the consistency in mixed drinks could use work-alcohol amount wise. Night food does start to get a little rough, it always takes about 45 minutes after putting an order in to get your food in-front of you. That's between 8:30 and closing. The food is pretty good though. For the size of this place, I always feel like there are not enough servers to keep drinks coming in a efficient and timely manner. Awful customer service. Worse brewery I ever went to. Will not return. The waiter dropped a whole tray of glasses on me by accident. I never got an apology from management. The outside area was really nice. Played cornhole with some friends while the kids played bocce ball and played on the putting green.
