We purchased our tickets on lasvegas.com or vegas.com. It says that we would be getting the front row "VIP" tickets. We were very excited and could not wait to see this venue and the show. Upon arrival we showed up at approximately 6:45 PM. We were instructed to go into what she called "the holding area" we're told to have a seat and that a waitress would come by and take our order if we wanted something to eat and or drink. There were a lot of people already inside eating and drinking so I was thinking that maybe we should've gotten there even earlier. We had not eaten or had anything to drink before the show because we were saving it for Showtime. Well........ no one came out to take our order. We even thought that seeing our table number would signal someone to make sure that these "VIP" attendees were taken care of. No one ever came over to us and before we know it, it was time to go into the show venue itself. I was sure that that area would be well stocked with someone to take our order as we were greeted at the door and personally escorted to our seats. (and I'm thinking that all of these people really look alike....... This must be a family run establishment with very strong genes) A comedian came out to do a short set and also said that someone would be around to take our orders for something to eat and drink and again, no one showed up. I'm thinking to myself that they want all of this energy from the audience and no one is coming around to make sure we are fed and hydrated, especially the so-called "VIPs"!! (LOL). The show was very nice and upbeat. I think it's a great show to bring your parents, aunts and uncles. As I did see a lot of seniors in the audience. The female entertainer(s) of the show was/were not present. So........,I got no food and no drink and no female performers........ and I feel bad for bringing my friend out because he wanted to see a full show and he had to run at the last minute to get me a bag of chips and some water before I got too dizzy. So, I say that it is a great show. I just so happen to come out on a less than favorable night. We were misinformed at the door and on stage about the service and I think they should take "VIP" off of the vegas.com purchase when you buy seats upfront. read more

Tim Welch (Elvis impersonator) is extremely talented! From his voice, sense of humor, interaction elements with the audience, and his Elvis-like appearance, he is all around a five star show. He even takes song requests and threw out some swag into the audience during his show. At the end he invites everyone up for a photo and you can chat with him a bit. All around a great guy and very talented performer. See this show! It's a great time! Show rating 5/5. The venue itself is close to southpoint on Las Vegas blvd. and is average. Located in a large parking lot next to the Antique Mall of America. It has two different big rooms with stages on it. The first room has a bar where you can buy food and drinks. Motown Extreme is located a bit south of the Strip, but not far at all and easy to get to. One thing I really liked is that you can arrive early and hang out in the restaurant area before the show to order food and drinks. I ordered the nachos and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious and filling they were. The food service was friendly, efficient, and quick. After eating, we were ushered into the performance space, which is dark, moody, and intimate. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house. We weren't sure what to expect, but my teen daughter and I were blown away. The performers were incredibly talented, and the singing and dancing felt effortless and high energy. We visited during the holiday season, and the addition of holiday songs was a really nice touch. I am truly amazed at the talent! The audience was very interactive with clapping and dancing, which made the night even more fun. After the show, the host shared their story, and it truly felt like a family. You can tell they pour their hearts out to run this amazing venue and show! Terrible! No AC, over 100 deg outside, and pretty near that inside. Place is run down and shabby. Doesn't matter what you pay for seats, they are all just 4 seat basic tables no more than 29 feet from the stage. They don't start the show until after 7.30pm ( there is a guy who talks, comedian they say, for 15mins). We stayed to hear the first act - really poor. I don't want to bad- mouth the artists, but really... $70 per person. Not worth any where near that. I asked for the manager, she said "you live in Vegas and think this is hot". We're in your "theater" and it was not comfortable, but they did not care. She would not give me the contact info for the owners. Go somewhere else, this is truly disappointing. read more

"Gimme 75 bucks, and I'll do Motown fer yuh!!" -Moe's Town That should be the slogan. Our driver couldn't have locked their doors fast enough. Our doors reluctantly closed shut, as our eyes settled on, "We have Motown at home." My partner, and I walked in expecting a real Vegas Motown experience featuring production, live music, or something close to a Prince, or MJ tribute. What we actually walked into was more akin to a unraveling roadside attraction dealing in shady shams that accidentally leased the dingiest spot in Las Vegas birthing a series of off-kilter disaster after disaster that never ends years, and years later. The Titanic sank because of a series of disasters, but Motown Extreme didnt let that stop them. The venue is 20-minutes away from the strip lumped between the armpit of an abandoned strip mall. We reluctantly stayed optimistic. What happens in Vegas, happens in Vegas. The space was uncomfortably intimate. We were sitting INSIDE the act. We got there early, as patrons were moved into a seperate room. We stayed behind. When the food finally showed up it was too late. The "Caesar salad" was just iceberg lettuce drowned in ranch with old vegetables. My partner ordered salmon confirming with staff she had food allergies. It arrived topped with a giant serving of shrimp. You cannot write this stuff. To their credit, the owner came out, and apologized saying it broke her heart that we were forgotten. They offered chicken wings, or wraps as compensation, which somehow made the entire experience even funnier. The show starts. No live instruments. No real choreography. Just distorted .mp3 tracks blasted louder than the sound system could handle infront of a blinding screen. Heavy lip syncing. One singer couldn't even get through the first sentence before the track carried on without her. The performers are also the bartenders and staff, which completes the low-budget circus feel. At a certain point it stopped being disappointing, and crossed into so bad it's funny. Like watching a train full of clowns derail in real-time. Bob Odenkirk, David Cross, and Richard Pryor couldn't write this. Saul Goodman would be proud. The MC opens with, "Who remembers when music... was MUSIC?!" Huge applause. Every time. That line always works. Especially on nostalgia starved crowds. What's even better are the 1 star reviews. Same story over, and over. People say they were misled. Food is overpriced, and inedible. Drinks are comically tiny, mostly ice, aggressively monetized. Service is slow, or nonexistent. Expectations don't match reality. When the owner responds it's never "we messed up." It's "we're sorry you didn't read correctly." The audience is consistently wrong. For years. There's a reason for their strict no photos, or recording policy. The MC explicitly tells you not to record. Which is funny, because the glowing reviews online describe what seems like a completely different performance. Almost like some nights are the real thing... but most nights are Motown at home. Classic bait, and switch. I respect the hustle. We all have a reality to return to. But even hustles usually have a code. Even thieves. Even the mob. They're past the point of cutting corners. Dave Chappelle talks about this when he references Pimp: The Story of My Life by Iceberg Slim: The coldest capitalist concepts. Promise the dream. Control the narrative. Never let people document the reality. And when they complain, tell them they misunderstood the deal. Even the Elvis impersonator that performed as we showed up fit the more depressed, overweight-era Elvis than Vegas legend. So I'll give them that. At least that part was accurate. As Rocco Botte says, "It's worth a dollar if it makes you laugh." He's right. I'll never forget our experience here, as it's given everyone material to punch up. We had been wanting to see this show for a while and finally got the opportunity to see it. This show was very entertaining and energetic with a group of talented singers and dancers. Parking is free and the showroom was packed. We really love this show because they encourage you to get up and dance and sing like concerts and show use to be like (old school). The theater is nice and roomy with good stage view, lights and sound. They also have a diner that you can order food and drinks while you are waiting to be seated in the showroom (your food and drink you order in the diner can also be taken into the showroom). We had the chicken wings and Mac n Cheese that came out fast and hot, and were delicious (wish we would tried the BBQ chicken). They have a menu available to look on on their website, and they have servers in the diner but if they are really busy you can order on at the bar. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no video or pictures during show, but they do have a period at end toward end of show they allow you to take photos and videos. And of course at the end they have a photo opportunity with performers. In addition to the Motown Extreme show they also have an The King in Concert show (Elvis - Tim Welch). Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend this showroom, diner and Motown Extreme show (make sure you get up and dance and sing, it is the best therapy for your mind and soul)! read more

Summary: Incredible voices and talent, exceptional playlist. Danced my feet off, sung my face off and clapped my hands until they hurt. The most fun I've had at a show in a long time. Worth the ticket price. The details: Check-in gal was super sweet. Show started nearly an hour late, but the waiting area served drinks and food and played a nice mix of 80s-90s music so it went by fast. Bartender was very friendly. Showroom was great but if you're short-bodied like me try to get a table up front. I just slid my chair over, however, and got a great view. I wish the vocals had been bumped a little higher as they were sometimes swallowed by the backing track (tbh talent like this truly deserves a live band), but the quality of voices was off the charts, better than the original recording artists in so many instances. The flyer didn't reflect the acts that performed, which was a little disappointing, but the variety of songs and the performers who sang them made up for it. As a KRTH-101 baby and huge Motown/Soul fan I knew every word of every song and every cell in my body was electrified. I was buzzing for hours after the show ended and we couldn't stop talking about it. My boyfriend knew nearly none of the songs but he loved absolutely every song and this show made him a Motown fan for real. Photos and videos were not allowed (I loved not having bright screens waved in my face!) but the meet and greet photo op afterwards was so much fun and worth staying for. I used to work in the same theatre as these folks when they were located downtown and always wanted to see the show but couldn't because it was at the same time as my show. (I only got to hear the first few minutes from the wings). I was disappointed when they left but I am so glad they found a new home and I FINALLY got to see them...their performances exceeded all expectations. A beautiful tribute to the foundation of modern music and the community who created it. Check in was a strangely long process and the waiting area outside of the lounge (requiring food/drink purchase) was not comfortable, a little awkward. What I loved about this is it's a small business of performers that used to perform on the strip. Now they have made a show their own and get to profit from it. A very small venue, with two groups (one young, one older) of men performing Motown classics. The kids didn't do it for me. Fake Afros and costumes that didn't really fit. They said no lip synching, but I wasn't convinced with them. The more seasoned professionals put on a good show. Wouldn't go twice, but it did provide entertainment for the evening. read more

So talented. singers, backdrops, lighting, sound all very professional. The guys sure do dance well. Had a drink and bite beforehand so you can dine there. Big surprise. If your ever in the Vegas Area. Please I highly recommend everyone to go see this show. This was definitely a show to see with some talented performers. I was told this is a family of entertainers who have performed many shows. I truly enjoyed this show and so glad we got a chance to see it. The sound was clear and easy to hear. Great costumes, wigs, energy, singing and dancing. Our table was right up in the front, so we had a good view. I like how they engaged along with the audience. Great selections of some good ole back in the day music. It made me reminisce about the good times, when we had fun and didn't have to worry about the things going on in this world today. We also received dinner with our tickets. My only complaint was the food and the process of signing in to be seated. This show is now in a dead strip mall near the South Point casino, as of April 2023. (Don't try to walk, it's 5.1 miles / 8.2 kilometers from this place to Mandalay Bay.) Yesterday my husband and I walked in and were hit in the face by an overwhelming scent of fish and floral Febreeze. I thought that maybe it was the people in front of us in line or maybe someone hadn't taken out the trash, but once we went to the showroom, there was a few trays of hot food out that you could purchase, and apparently they included fish. Show room is just cocktail tables with chairs and a stage. According to the host, they're apparently getting a liquor license and are going to be putting in a restaurant. I don't like the location for this place so I'm not sure how that's going to work. Show started about 20 minutes late. Show has a little screen behind them that plays a backstory / scene setting animation of the Motown Museum that's supposedly haunted and we're being transported to Motown's past but have to leave before midnight? There are strobe light effects. If that bothers you or you have a condition, be aware of this and plan accordingly. There is an older group and a younger group that do songs from Jackson Five, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight and the Pips. A few of the performers looked familiar - I think a few of them may be performers in other Michael Jackson tribute shows here in Vegas. No photos or videos are allowed until the end when you're told to bring out your phones. My phone was dead so I didn't get any videos or photos of the performance. If you're looking for Cirque level production value, this isn't it. It's on par with sets at The Duomo at The Rio. Singing is fine. Costumes are fine. (Also, one of the women singing had really beautiful sparkly eyeshadow and lipstick.) I enjoyed the set list. I just could not stand the food smell during the show. At the end, one of the singers tries to do a bit introducing people and talking to the audience, asking if anyone was celebrating any birthdays and anniversaries. They should start the show with that if they're dead set on talking to the audience (they should scrap it) rather than at the end, because I was ready to go but felt rude getting up to leave. If you're in Las Vegas and you're NOT hitting up the Motown Extreme Show, I'm just going to assume you hate joy, soul, and spontaneous dance battles with strangers. From the second the lights dimmed and the music started, I was transported straight into a time machine -- and not one of those janky ones you see on TikTok. I'm talking full-fledged, sequin-bedazzled, microphone-twirling Motown magic. One minute you're calmly sitting in your chair sipping your drink, and the next thing you know you're standing up, singing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." The performers aren't just talented -- they're scary good. Like did Berry Gordy secretly clone all the Motown legends and hide them in Vegas? kind of good. Every high note, every dance move, every smooth as butter transition had the whole room acting like we were at a family reunion we actually wanted to be at. By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt from smiling, my voice was gone from yelling "SING IT, BABY!" at strangers, and my hips were filing a complaint with HR because they haven't moved that much since 2006. read more

Every seat is a good seat, and the show was energetic and full of talented singers/performers. The male headliner was incredible and his son also performs. Arrived early and got checked in by a very lovey and kind law student. We were sat in the waiting area and we ordered nachos and a soft drink. The nachos were delicious cost $14. They need to update the pictures online because the food in person looked 10 times better. We went into the show and they seated us. The show started and we had a great time start to finish. It was a high energy show with performers who had great voices. The performers engaged the audience and we sang, clapped, and danced. Highly recommend the show. read more

We had a great experience at Motown Extreme! Such a high energy show with amazing performers. This is the 2nd week at their new location which is a small and intimate setting. Everyone was so welcoming and excited for every person to step in and view the show. The food option was nice - at the moment there was no alcohol just soft drinks and water. $25 combos. We had already eaten, but brought our 7 and 19 year olds...so of course they wanted mac and cheese and alfredo pasta, they enjoyed it. We got the peach cobbler and that was delicious! My cheeks hurt the entire night from smiling so hard!!! This was such an absolute blast and a great experience! Everyone is close knit and there is very much a family feel and atmosphere here. The show has a lot of energy and excitement! I wish the crowd had participated a little more but that doesn't stop the performers at all. They bring their A+ game no matter what! My only suggestion and the downside was they offer a delicious and hearty pre-show dinner meal but it was cold :( For $25 you get bbq chicken , mac n cheese, veggies, a dinner roll and dessert !!! I didn't know about the dinner so I arrived about 10-15 minutes before the show and maybe that's why my food was cold, but that would be my suggestion to them. Conveniently located near the Southpoint casino in a shady looking strip mall. they've been at this venue about a year, but still have a large tacked on banner instead of a permanent sign for Motown theater. The staff is very friendly, and we received wristbands when we checked in with our table number on it. We had to wait in the bar area area with everyone else before the show began and it was due to start at 7 PM, but started at 7:45 PM. You are free to order food and drinks ( a big part of their revenue), and the servers would actually bring it to you at your table while the show is ongoing, this can be a distraction. This place is reminiscent of a 1970s lounge type area and could do with a lot of redecorating especially wall decor. The show was very very lively, but the main attraction Jackson 5, they are amateur. The older adult singers were all amazingly talented, loved them, and all the old songs. No lip syncing! The stage is not very high, so if you have seats anywhere except upfront, you will not be able to see the performance without somebody's head or body blocking your view. They do not allow photos during the show but allow photos to be taken near the end of the show. Would like to come back again to enjoy this great music and the memories and it brings back, might even buy a plate of food. read more
