I never realized that this was a restaurant at Universal Studios and one way to dine here would be to pay for the VIP Tour which we did to try it at Universal. At around 1pm our tour guide took us into the Moulin Rouge to have our all you can eat buffet style lunch for one hour. We were seated with our party only so that was nice. They have a good variety of foods for adults and kids. Their highlight would be the mushroom ravioli and salad bar which was fresh and looked/tasted great. The outdoor portion of the restaurant which is still covered overlooks the lower lot and the San Fernando Valley mountains which was stunning. Food itself wasn't bad for a buffet at a theme park. Service was really nice and they have a crepe station as well.

***ONLY AVAILABLE VIA VIP TOUR*** When booking a trip at Universal Studios Hollywood, there is an option to purchase a VIP Tour Experience ticket from $379/day. A separate review on the tour itself, but via that tour is the only way you can dine at Moulin Rouge. By far over the four day weekend this was our favorite meal at both the park and surrounding areas/Hilton hotel. This is listed as "a gourmet meal" and I concur that it was definitely a more upscale buffet style meal. The highlights of the food that I enjoyed were: Rosemary & Thyme Roasted Potato Garlic Potato Purée Mac & Cheese Roasted Carrots Meyer Lemon Ravioli I tend to stick to meat free meals, but my dad loved the carvery portion and my mom liked the fish options as well. We were all impressed, and quite frankly, I could easily do the VIP Tour again since this made for an amazing lunch to top off the day. Lastly, they do have some "character dining" where Dracula or perhaps other characters stop by. I thought that would be a nice touch for kids and even as adults we enjoyed the banter. If you are on the fence about a VIP Tour experience, let this dining experience be the deciding factor as I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing! There's characters walking around, you can eat as much as you want, and everything tastes fantastic! You can only eat here if you have the VIP pass and you can only eat here for one meal, but it's definitely delicious. The seafood was pretty much amazing and if I ever end up here again I'll just load up on that. The street corn was way too salty so I didn't enjoy that. Definitely save room for dessert here- they have a nice variety and I loved almost everything. Loved: - Chicken: Teriyaki - Dessert: Chocolate cake - Dessert: Chocolate Crepes - Dessert: Creme Brûlée - Salmon - Salmon: Slices - Shrimp with Cucumber

It's my first time to try Universal Studios Hollywood VIP Experience for my birthday, and it's definitely freaking Worth it! The food was really delightful, it's super delicious. It's a buffet style private dine in. Service and ambiance of the place was good as well. Not too overcrowded which is really nice.

I've been here 3 times in the past two decades. Excellent foods and services. It's included into the Hollywood Universal Studios VIP Experience package and this is where they always take you during mid tour for the 1-hour lunch break. All tour guides stop here for lunch too. Absolutely loved everything about it. Every guest had the badge, so perhaps they only open to VIP Experience folks. Greeters are very inviting and friendly. Excellent customer service, entertaining staff members, delicious foods, beautiful decorations, indoor and outdoor dining available, plus the ambience was just amazing. Entertainers, such as Lucy from I Love Lucy, Dracula, and others will come walk around, ask you how you are doing, where you are from, and then spark other conversations with you while you are enjoying your foods. Wonderful experience with great times. Plenty of foods and drinks to choose from. Prosciutto wrapped around cantelope was yummy. Salmon, poke fish meat, and shrimps were all very fresh and tasty. Salads are lightly tossed. Choose your cheese and appetizers. Entrees and meats are different each time. They even had mini crepes here. Chocolate chip cookies are very soft and warm, fresh baked. Fresh fruits. Desserts are the best: cakes, tarts, pudding, mousse desserts, etc. Lots of potatoes and pizza slices. They have mainly small bites here, but that is plenty of delicious selections to enjoy and much better than foods sold outside or all around the amusement park. Comfortable seats and spacious. Restrooms are in-house or you can walk outside to use the public restrooms at a walking distance. What a perfect place inside the center of the Paris strip that stands out. Each time we come here, it's a very different and unique experience. Perfect lighting. Tables are romantic with the small vase of flowers. Very clean and organized. Highly recommended. Very cute and cozy place.

This came with the VIP experience. Great food. And unlimited plates and drinks. This alone is worth the VIP package. Nice view for lunch and private restrooms. Staff is very friendly and you get to see some characters while you're there.

There was a 20 min wait for a party of 5. We sat outside on the patio. We were immediately greeted by our waitress Karla. She was great! Brought us water immediately, very knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and very sweet. As for the food, I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Artisan Pretzel. It was absolutely delicious. Perfectly salted and buttered. It was really fresh and perfect sharing size. We also ordered the signature patty melt. It was also really good. The burger patty was very well seasoned. Just the right amount of cheese. It comes with white bread rather than the usual rye bread, which I didn't mind. The fries are not that spectacular but the rest of the food made up for it. We also got the cup of chili. Again, delicious. The chili is thick and very flavorful. Probably my favorite chili. Lastly, we got the kids mac-n-cheese and chicken tenders. Both, although fresh, were quite average. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back. I suspect they get quite busy on game nights and weekends. Parking here sorta sucks because it's expensive. Cheapest place to park is at the subway station but be prepared to walk uphill and/or take tram. Alternatively, you can pay $30 for general parking, which is good if you're parking for the entire day. If you're only going for several hours, you're better off doing valet parking for $25. If you go to a sit down restaurant (not fast food), and this restaurant qualifies as a sit down, valet parking is reduced to $10 for 2.5 hours or $15 for 3.5 hours.

While I've been to damn near every food spot in Disneyland, Three Broomsticks was the only place we ate at within the Universal park on our visit. I assumed it would just be more about the location and ambience, an extension of Harry Potter world where people could relive their favorite scenes from the movies. And yet, the food was actually pretty good. My wife and I split a plate of their Bangers and Mash. The sausages were well seasoned, cooked well with a nice crisp to the casings. The mashed potatoes tasted and felt fresh, as opposed to something that came from a boxed or bagged mix. And the veggies were delicious, from the light char on the tomatoes, to the sweetness of the grilled onions, to the fresh crispness to the peas. All topped off with a nice, thick, and salty gravy. The real star of our visit here, however, was the warm-served Butterbeer. Sweet, salty, and frothy, it was a pretty extreme treat on multiple levels. It was kind of like drinking a cup of butterscotch pudding before it has had a chance to cool and set. More than anything else we had, I come back to wanting this closer to home. Then there's the decor. The servers and cooks are all in costume, though most don't really try to stay in or even have a character. But, the restaurant itself is decked out in thick wooden beams, wrought iron railing, stone framework, wispy lighting meant to mimic candlelight, and various bits of farming tools and hunting trophies to complete the imagery of how the Three Broomsticks is described in books. And to give it that true Potter-verse feel, there are hanging gangways and stairs that seem to lead nowhere to give that extra level of whimsy and ... well, magic. And it really does work. If and when we ever come back to Universal, this is definitely a place we'd be happy to eat at again.

We had to wait until my gluten-free wife had other plans for the evening as they don't offer a gluten-free bun (and though I see some reviews indicating you can lettuce wrap, there is no way to actually order this on their website, app, or 3rd party delivery service menus.) It's an interesting concept, the creator clearly parlaying his success has a social media person into getting his troves of fans to purchase his brand of burgers. I mean you can get a burger anywhere which is just as good, but if you're a fan, it must be MrBeast. First off, 1 star down to any restaurant that either doesn't allow special instructions when you order from their website, or the third party delivery services, AND doesn't allow for sufficient customization. I mean take The Beast Style, for example. It comes with American Cheese, Pickles, Diced White Onion, Mayo, Ketchup, and brown mustard. They offer options to modify, and I can remove cheese and onions (if I wanted) but I can't remove ketchup, mustard, or Mayo. On the Chandler style which comes without these items, I can add them all or remove cheese. So if I wanted a Beast without Mayo I' need to order a Chandler and add all the things back and it ends up costing a few dollars more. That's weird. Why can I remove cheese and onions, but I can't remove the sauces? Again, 1 star off for not allowing special instructions or all the options customizable. Big kudos for offering Impossible Burgers. I'm a vegetarian so I fully appreciate being able to eat here at all because of this offering. I did get a Beast Style Impossible Burger, and then had to call the restaurant to ask them to not put mayonnaise on it. That was a bit of spy-work as there's not phone number and they're actually located within another restaurant (That's their virtual concept) so a lot of weird "Is this Mr. Beast Burger" when another restaurant answers. They were willing to remove the mayonnaise. Praise God. The burger was good. the flavor profile reminded me of what a basic McDonald's Hamburger tasted like...I mean it had the same ingredients so that was to be expected. It only came with 1 patty though...their menu says "Two Smashed crispy Impossible Patties..." Not sure if they were 2 super-thin patties that were just "smashed" together to make it seem like one...but it sure seemed like 1 patty and not like the picture. The fries arrived soggy...we get food delivery a lot and some restaurants know how to properly package items like fries so they arrive still warm and not soggy...others don't. Looks like MrBeast Burger might have some work to do on this, especially since they're a delivery only restaurant. There are many places, even here in the Santa Clarita Valley, where I can get a vegetarian burger, so if I'm going to break own to my teen's influencee preference and order from here again, I hope they start to allow more modifications, allow ordering of gluten-free options (ideally a bun) and figure out how to make french fries arrive at my house still crispy. Last question, MrBeast Burger...Is there a MrsBeast Burger??

We had a disability access pass which takes planning to set up but is doable. Unlike Disney, the access pass is still a piece of cardstock you need to carry around (Knotts is similar) which can be a learning curve when the world (and Disney...) have all figured out the digital app experience way better. Our first ride at 9:45 was the Harry Potter castle and it only had a 5 min wait. My ongoing pet peeve with Universal is their locker system which is a time waster and added expense. We have figured out that using rider switch at some rides can help drop the irritating need for a locker but for this first ride we hadn't caught on to this notion yet. The ride is cool but the 3D swinging made all the adults a little nauseous (we should have had a more substantial breakfast but also aging can take a well balanced seasoned rider down a notch in parenthood). This ride does a great job of decor and entertainment in line but please turn the lights up; I'm not that old yet but coming into the dark from the sun is hard to adjust too and it's a trip hazard waiting to happen. We went on the Hippogryph (sp?) ride next and that was our first use of access pass so we did wand shopping while we waited. The ride is over before it begins. For a park with so few outdoor coasters I am sad to see how short this was. I imagine this park has just simply limited space to build rides so this one was built small (and as a quick ride) by comparison to its FL counterparts. We all walked away miffed that we had barely rode it before we were getting off! In brief: Mummy was a great ride; Transformers was cool; character sightings were cute; the water ride was a SOAKER and our front row people had a foot of water over their shoes effectively creating a dismal afternoon to slog through (and even one person had a poncho but pants and shoes were still watered through). Mario land was cute though the ride was confusing and unclear as a first go. Minions was cute. Lots of indoor 3D/4D (sensory) rides. Food is limited and meh. Park and spaces were clean. There's not quite enough seating, shade or water bottle fill stations. Staff were good: kind and helpful. Waterworld was missed because they don't run enough. Parking was a minimum $40 and then a walk. And Studio Tour was great: this is the belle of the Ball at this theme park! It's about an hour but it's worth it and a great way to sit and mellow out while learning about different movies and shows from history to present! And it has some cute surprise experiences! The park is kind of boring overall. Which is sad to say. I think the silver lining of that though is not feeling like you have to rush everywhere; it can be a more chill experience. But then we had a lot of down time waiting and there was not enough entertainment or distraction for the kids. We are curious to see how the new Fast and Furious ride pans out though as it was going through test runs while we were there and it is quite a deviation from their current experience offering!
