My family and I were at Universal Studios Hollywood and were hungry so we decided to go to Three Broomsticks. We actually went there on two occasions on different days. Day 1 We were in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the Wizarding village of Hogsmeade and saw Three Broomsticks. We walked in and the restaurant is so cool. It has the Exterior and Interior decor from the films. I enjoyed the atmosphere. It was very crowded in there so we had to search for a place to sit. Luckily we found a place that seated the four of us. My husband placed our order through the app and then was notified when the food was ready. It took awhile but we eventually got our food after about a 20 minute wait. Three of us ordered the rib meal. Which came with ribs, corn on the cob, and potatoes. The ribs were delicious. They were tender and fell of of the bone. The corn was semi sweet and the potatoes were flavored well. It was very filling and a very good meal for it being at a theme park. My sons both ordered Frozen Butterbeers and they enjoyed drinking them. I tried the Butterbeer but it was a little too sweet for me. Unfortunately on this specific day we were told that they ran out of the fish and chips so my other son grabbed something else and ate with us. Day 2 This day the restaurant wasn't as crowded and we easily found a place to sit. We went through the same process. My husband ordered the food on the app and was notified when it was ready. My son finally got his fish and chips and was very happy. He enjoyed his meal and said that the fish was pretty good. This time around he chose to get a Butterbeer Popsicle with his meal and he enjoyed it. Overall Three Broomsticks is in a really cool part of Universal Studios. I liked the atmosphere inside and outside of the restaurant as it felt immersive. The restaurant was a good size but it could be crowded with limited seating depending on the day and time that you go. The ordering process through the app was easy, the service picking up the food was friendly, and the food was really good. read more

Three Broomsticks is a decent low key pick for a Universal Studios Hollywood meal, since the competition isn't too great. They mainly serve British cuisine, and I duck in here to check the line whenever the outside butterbeer vendors are too packed. The theming is reminiscent of its Harry Potter counterpart - a bit dingy, dark, and pub-like. Because of the less kid-friendly theme and nondescript exterior, it's more relaxing and chill in here. After lining up, you're directed to an order terminal, and then you pick up your order when ready at the pick-up windows near the ordering counters. You can also purchase souvenir mugs (steins) here. If you come as a family, the great feast is a solid idea to get. Otherwise, the individual meals are generally a meat with some form of potato. There's also a decent selection of sweet treats, and especially butterbeer options! Personally, I prefer cold butterbeer because it's fizzy. It tastes like very fancy cream soda with a whipped foam on top. I don't like sweet things, but I enjoy having a butterbeer in Hogsmeade. We tried the mead here, which I thought was just okay and generic. The seasonal butterbeer cream puff was surprisingly flavorful with sweet caramel notes and a good cracked cream puff texture topped with airy whipped cream and crunchy white chocolate balls. If you have to eat at Universal Studios, Three Broomsticks is one of the top choices if you want something satisfying. If you value theme, though, I suppose you'd go elsewhere. read more

This place was a lot better than I expected it to be. First off, I am not an expert on Universal Studios restaurants in anyway, shape or form. While I've been to damn near every food spot in Disneyland, Three Broomsticks was the only place we ate at within the Universal park on our visit. I assumed it would just be more about the location and ambience, an extension of Harry Potter world where people could relive their favorite scenes from the movies. And yet, the food was actually pretty good. My wife and I split a plate of their Bangers and Mash. The sausages were well seasoned, cooked well with a nice crisp to the casings. The mashed potatoes tasted and felt fresh, as opposed to something that came from a boxed or bagged mix. And the veggies were delicious, from the light char on the tomatoes, to the sweetness of the grilled onions, to the fresh crispness to the peas. All topped off with a nice, thick, and salty gravy. The real star of our visit here, however, was the warm-served Butterbeer. Sweet, salty, and frothy, it was a pretty extreme treat on multiple levels. It was kind of like drinking a cup of butterscotch pudding before it has had a chance to cool and set. More than anything else we had, I come back to wanting this closer to home. Then there's the decor. The servers and cooks are all in costume, though most don't really try to stay in or even have a character. But, the restaurant itself is decked out in thick wooden beams, wrought iron railing, stone framework, wispy lighting meant to mimic candlelight, and various bits of farming tools and hunting trophies to complete the imagery of how the Three Broomsticks is described in books. And to give it that true Potter-verse feel, there are hanging gangways and stairs that seem to lead nowhere to give that extra level of whimsy and ... well, magic. And it really does work. If and when we ever come back to Universal, this is definitely a place we'd be happy to eat at again. read more

Stopped in about a half hour before the park closed and ordered through mobile. It didn't seem clear at first, but a worker directed us to the pick up area where we waited about 10 minutes to get our order. The place was pretty empty, so we had our choice of where to sit. We were pleasantly surprised with how much we liked everything. The only other place we have had a scotch egg from was the Ren Fair, and this was better, not to mention cheaper. We don't know what the wait is like during the day, but definitely suggest heading there at the end of the night, before the park closes. read more

I've been here more than enough times but never actually wrote a review before. Let's just say I'm a repeat offender...I love this place! Honestly one of the best food places at the park. From the breakfast meals to their lunch offerings, there really has not been anything that I did not enjoy. The workers are all super friendly and just to be in the same atmosphere in the Wizarding World.....what's not to love about this place. I would love it if they created a Great Hall in the future but I think they would need a ton more space. Try and go to their Butter Beer season! So many goodies to try. read more

It was an amazing and authentically immersive experience; I literally felt like I was in a pub in Hogsmeade and all of the other guests dressed in their wizarding attire definitely contributed to the magic. Orders are taken at the register and I felt the service was great! Crystal was extremely patient with us as we tried to decide what to eat, and even recommended the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert. After a little wait, our order was ready at one of several pickup windows, and we were off to find a seat. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so I imagine even on their busiest day there are plenty of options open. The Bangers & Mash was absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed the savoriness of the gravy. Mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy and it was a very satisfying meal. The Herb Roast Chicken Platter also had a great portion. Surprisingly, my favorite part of this meal was the corn on the cob! Super buttery and sweet. There were two pieces of chicken, one of which was juicy and still tender. The other was a little on the drier side, but it still had great flavor. For dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding and it was truly the best bite of the afternoon. It was similar to a cinnamon roll with a nice gooey center and the cream on top was a great complement to the sweetness of the pastry. If you go during the holidays, the holiday meal with turkey, veggies, and cranberry sauce is as good as it gets. It has sausage, mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes, sautéed onions and cabbage, peas and gravy. It definitely fills you up for the long day at the park. My wife ordered the Herb Roast Chicken Platter which is served with corn on the cob and roasted potatoes. She loved it! It too is her favorite food at the park. As for the Sticky Toffee Pudding, ours looked off seeing other posts of it. Looks like ours was the bun and a dollop of a cream topping while others on Yelp was showing caramel and toffee bits. Dining at the Three Broomsticks really makes you feel like you've stepped into the world of Harry Potter. The interior is dimly lit with soft music playing in the background. Everyone working there is dressed in themed costumes. The menu is on theme too. There is so much detail and everything was completely on theme. The atmosphere was cozy and immersive. I tried the cold butterbeer, the English holiday dinner, and sticky toffee pudding. The butterbeer was a creamy soda with a rich butterscotch flavor. It was so good and refreshing. The holiday dinner was better than I expected for theme park food. It came with roasted turkey, gravy, bacon-wrapped sausage, stuffing, Brussels sprouts, carrots and cranberry sauce. It was hearty and satisfying. The sticky toffee pudding was warm and delicious. Even during peak hours, the experience was smooth. A staff member assigns tables to each party, so you don't have to worry about fighting over getting a table. It was such a fun, immersive experience and the food was actually good too. For a theme park restaurant, Three Brooksticks is my favorite! I went when there was no line, the cashier was friendly. Food came out fairly quickly and it was fresh. Ordered the Great Feast(great price), which feeds 4 people and it was delicious! The ribs and chicken were both flavorful and juicy. Ribs were fall off the bone. The veggies, potatoes, and corn were also cooked nicely and nutritionally is great overall compared to other dining options you typically get at a theme park. What a wonderful way to immerse yourself into Harry Potter the food was great and the ambulance was so enchanted as my family and I sat inside the three broomsticks. What you notice first is how organized all the staff and the decor of the whole environment. My choice was the fish and chips and my wife got herb chicken both were very good for an amusement park. The portions were large enough, but the flavoring of the chicken was rich enough that it didn't need extra salt. The fish and chips was cooked with crunchiness on the outside and softness of the fish inside and great touch giving the side of tartar sauce. My kids got the chicken tenders like every other kid. They thought it was pretty standard, but what I loved as it came with a side of fruit. You really can't go wrong with the butter beer and apple cider. They were both very delicious and even though for one cup at nine dollars I could see how they charge that and it's fair because you're in Harry Potter land drinking butter beer in a labeled Harry Potter cup. The Foods that were ordered in this photo: the great feast (corn on cob, roast chicken, carrots, broccoli, roast potatoes, barbecue ribs), vegetables plate (asparagus, steamed mashed potatoes, minted peas, and cabbage) gilly water bottles, and an ice cold butter beer. Make sure when you order you specify on whether you want the corn to have butter or not because all the corn on the cobs in the feast option was drenched absorbed of butter which made the texture not so pleasant nor taste. Kind of felt like we were just eating sticks of butter at that point. The ribs were slathered with the barbecue sauce and mixed in with the roasted potatoes (if you don't like your food touching...I highly recommend just ordering everything separately. However keeping in mind this portion comes in 8 corns, 4 ribs and 4 chicken. No complaints on the butter beer drink! It was refreshing and delicious Service was busy. The server was able to help carry one of our tray to our table because it was heavy. Which was actually really a mindful gesture. The deco really feels like a scene from the movies and books. First off, the girl calling our food, was pretty unfriendly and impatient with us. Spare Ribs Platter - Not bad, but not great either. It felt they baked the ribs and then coded them with a thick layer of barbecue sauce. I did like the side of potatoes that they had and the texture of the corn was great. Side of Sausage - One of the worst sausages I have ever had. It was strangely aromatic without being salty. It tasted pretty disgusting and even with ketchup and mustard (the only condiments available), still disgusting. Do not get this. I was curious if they are able to win me over with their food and let's just say the three broomsticks just set the tone for me and my fiancée getting our universal passes !!! The vibe of this place takes you to the Harry Potter themed world and is just beautiful In the theme and architecture. There is plenty of seating and it's very open and the vaulted ceilings make It breathable. Service was fantastic even for first timers our host and order taker was great in suggesting what was good and patient with us as I know they deal With so many people all day. Honestly everyone was amazing. It was my birthday and my now fiancée wanted to take me since I've been wanting to go and as a teacher it's hard to make time soooo summer gave us some of that time. We love how animated this restaurant is it is just like you stepped into diagon alley and went to the actual 3 broomsticks pub in Harry Potter! Had an awesome day at Universal Studios with the family. Came here around 7ish and was amazed that the "normal long lines" were non existent. As we have been here many times before with no issues. We proceeded to order food for the family, chicken strips for the kids, wife had a chicken meal and a "spare ribs platter" for myself. Later that evening upon arriving home, extreme stomach upset diarrhea and in the morning same issues mixed with nausea/vomiting. For sure, it was the spare ribs as I was the only one who ate the meal. I fasted the entire day - just to eat this meal for dinner time and the cooks "wizardry" took me out! :(‍ I'm not sure what to say, as we have been here before for meals. But it's not a good thing to have guests be exposed "from what I assume is undercooked food." I won't be coming back here anymore. Packing my own food for now on! read more

I came with my parents on a Wednesday at around 11:45am to not have to deal with the lunch hour rush. Service was mediocre: the cashier seemed to be in a massive rush to get rid of us even though it wasn't even lunch time and there was no one else ordering, lol. That aside, the ambiance is excellent; you do feel like you're immersed in a British tavern about to eat some good food. The food itself is also stellar, I think this is, bar none, the best food you can find while inside the park (that's not really saying much: Universal Studios Hollywood isn't precisely known for their many fine dining choices). My dad and I got two orders of Fish & Chips, my mom went with the Spare Ribs, and although the Fish & Chips were great in their own right, a side of me do wishes I would have gone with the Spare Ribs too, it was that good. The corn on the cob that comes as a side in the Spare Ribs is particularly sweet, juicy, easy to chew on and just overall delicious. The ribs themselves come off the bone so easily, they're tender and cooked to perfection. The Fish & Chips were like 3 pieces of battered, deep fried fish, alongside some french fries, they definitely were good too. Had lunch here earlier. The place was extremely crowded and felt very dim because of the low lighting and flickering effects. Finding a seat was also frustrating since it was so packed. The food itself was good. I ordered the herb roast chicken platter which came with corn on the cob and roasted potatoes on the side, and I enjoyed it. The service experience wasn't great.
