Let's just save everybody time and money. Basically all of these cars are from an auction and they triple the payment on what the car is actually worth just so that they can make a profit now they use a system called acima to have you do payment plans. DONT DO IT! They jack up the price !!! and make sure you're checking for odometer because they roll them back and change things to make the car look and drivable for at least two months then you'll really start seeing damages and just remember if anything is coming up with a code when you take it to your mechanic there is something called lemon law. If you don't know what it is look it up you're able to take the vehicle back without anything hindering you. I traded in my 08 Civic, which there was nothing wrong with it. I am warning everyone about my experience with Mount Eden Motors Inc. (28 W. Mount Eden Ave, Bronx, NY 10452). What happened to me was not a mistake -- it was outright fraud. I purchased a 2013 Toyota Highlander that was represented as having approximately 85,000 miles. After further investigation and documentation review, the vehicle actually has over 233,000 miles. That is not a small discrepancy. That is odometer fraud. Because of this false mileage representation, the vehicle was sold and financed at a grossly inflated value. Based on its true mileage and condition, the fair market value would have been around $7,500 -- not what I was charged and financed for. Here's what this dealership cost me: $4,000 down payment $5,925 in monthly payments so far Ongoing full-coverage insurance costs A loan with questionable interest terms that may exceed New York's legal limits This wasn't a clerical error. I would give 0 stars if I could as well the day I was getting the car 2 people screamed out their car window this place is horrible and I should have listened. I came desperately to get a car because I lived out of state. They told me the car had not been checked and I said well if anything is wrong with the car I'll just bring it back and trusting the scammer dealer I was not able to bring it back and get it fixed that easily. I just got this car less than 2 months ago and The transmission was already messed up. Someone realized the transmission was slipping and I didn't pay much mind because I thought the car was good until it happened the following week. I called the dealership and the only worry they had was about a payment that had already been paid prior to calling about the problem. The owner is in and out of the office, out of town and cannot get to the phone when there is a problem with a client. I went with money I did not have and they left me with a fucked up transmission and said they cannot do anything after I did everything on my end that they asked. When I financed the car i explained that I needed the car to make money and they said don't worry we will take care of you. This is the worst establishment ever and no one should ever be scammed again. They have dogs that pee in every car at night on the wheels and I bet if you ask them to clean it they will even make that a problem. Horrible management. So I intentionally waited 6 months to place a review to increase accuracy. I am financing a 2004 BMW and after a week, i had to return to fix the locks of the car. The button for the window didn't work and they had to get back to us with a new piece. 4 months after, the check engine light was on and luckily, an uncle of mine is a mechanic who detected that the muzzle on the car was loose.Conveniently, a day after my warranty expired, the transmission slipped. I called Mount Eden Motors and they said there was nothing they can do. My car just got towed, my mechanic said it's about 5,000 to fix and this problem was most likely from before I bought it. I've spent more time and money investing in a car that I thought I would enjoy. There are a thousand and one used car dealerships in the Bronx and this one shouldn't be one for being thieves and liars read more

I wish I had the option of giving 1/4 star. My experience with this car dealership was terrible. Seems these people put their vehicles on the sales floor even though the vehicles are not drivable. Luckily I never even got to touch the keys of the vehicle I chose, although I did hand over the cash. The car was taken to get the DMV inspection on a Monday -- It failed inspection. I remained patient. The car was taken to get the DMV inspection on the following day, Tuesday -- It failed inspection. I ran as fast as I can to go get my full refund. BUYER-BEWARE! Btw: The reviewer that gave the 5 stars Haidar D. isn't a customer as you'd guess by his review, he's the same salesman that tried to sell me the undrivable car. So I will keep reposting my experience here at Mount Eden Motors to serve as some kind of help to other buyers. Bought BMW 2003 325i for $6300 Worst place to buy your car. Please ignore the those "good reviews" posted by "Haidar" and "Ray". Ray is the owner!!! and Haidar is the sales man!!!!......These people are the worst. Haidar promised to have his mechanic fix some problems I experienced with the car before purchase and each time I called he would say they are busy. I even went in on a day he asked to me come in because I still had the option to pay for the warranty and he said "come in pay the warranty and in the mean time get the car checked" BULLSHIT!! All he wanted was for me to pay the warranty. He gave me an excuse after I said I would get the warranty once they check the car. I eventually gave up and took the car to my own mechanic and dished out over 2000 dollars in repairs. The entire cooling system was messed up, the motor mounts were done the secondary air pump was missing, the O2 sensors were burnt out thank god the catalytic was still working. I guess its my fault for trusting them not to give me a car that was barely even driveable. On top of that three weeks after purchase the water pump blew and I was stuck on the highway waiting for triple A. They are very nice and make you feel comfortable. Bunch of snakes! Seriusly do not go here!!! And if you do try and take the car to your own mechanic and see how many excuses they will give you. I still say I should have know better but serves me right for being a first time car buyer. I gave one star because it would not let me choose ZERO. Update: So something else broke in the car I purchased it 01/18/2014. The driver side seat belt latch broke and now the power steering pump needs replacing $520.00 in BMW plus labor hmph. I also bought a new battery. Not to mention the rattling noise coming from my left side rear tire. I am taking the car to BMW for a diagnostic test and I will post my experience there. As for the other customer who just recently commented here on yelp. Ray and Haidar did the same thing to me. They said I would need New Jersey license plates because it was too late in the day to request one from NYC. As a new car owner I did not know what to expect or it this was true. The only reason I give these guys 1 star (I wish I could give 0 stars) is because they made it easy for me to receive financing for a vehicle but be prepared to pay the $75 fee for the process. I wish I would have checked the reviews on these guys before I purchased my vehicle because the negative feedback is true. I bought my vehicle April 5th of this year (2016). I'll start by saying that I should have known better than to purchase the vehicle after a couple of red flags. First, they wouldn't give me the VIN number so I can do a carfax claiming that the vehicle has never been in an accident (when I checked afterwards, it's been in 2!). Second, they wouldn't let me test drive it unless I put down a $1000 down payment which is the first time I've ever heard of that. They promise a 6 month warranty but after 2 days of driving my van, the check engine light came on and I noticed that the A/C didn't work. When I called, supposedly Haidar wasn't there and never called me back. I had to go there in person and "surprisingly" Haidar was in the office. He told me that I had to go through the warranty even though it was only 2 days ago that I had purchased the vehicle. The warranty has a $500 deductible for EACH problem. Meaning I would have had to pay $1000 for them to fix the problems even though I only had the car for 2 days!! I had no choice but to agree to use the warranty because he wouldn't help me. I had to wait a week, only to get my van back and the engine light came back on 3 days later and the A/C still didn't work after paying the $1000. Took it to Autozone and it's an o2 sensor. When I went back to complain that the issue were still there, he said that I would have to go through the warranty again because I shouldn't expect to get a perfect car when it's used!!! These guys are scam artist and ripoffs!!! I only post this to warn people...PLEASE PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR IT!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY OR GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR DEALER! I purchased a Used 2005 BMW 3 Series from this dealership and it had about 99 problems. Within the first month the car overheated and left me stranded in Manhattan. I called them and they told me to take it to New Jersey. If the car wont move how am I supposed to take it to New Jersey? About two weeks after I got the issue fixed, I drove to Queens going towards Long Island, and for the second time the car broke down. The specialist is stating it is a transmission issue. So now I'm going to have to spend more money fixing the piece of shit. I know honestly that the dealership knows these issues are occurring and do not give car fax or whatever. However being a good law student that I am. I am going to find a way to sue them or return the car and get my money back. Stay away from this place. read more

They sell you a broken down car in the Bronx, after they get your money tell you to lie to the police and authorities because they give you tags from the state of New Jersey.
