Don't choose a book by its cover. From the outside it doesn't look like much. Even when walking in it's not even a warm fuzzy feeling. But the service and food were delicious. Coffee was good and staff very friendly. That southern charm. Prices are reasonably and I really liked how the silverware was in plastic wrap. Give it a try. Yummy grits!!

I fell in love with this place but they have let me down too many times...squash and hushpuppies were black...fish was clearly refried...so hard it snapped like a cracker...manager immediately told me that i would have to contact DD and apologized..I got my money back but wanted her to know that her employees actually served this crap to a customer...I love their green beans but threw them away too...this place has so much potential...their vegetables are so good but they need to do better...the cornbread is normally missing...as it was yesterday...I'm sad to say that after many bad meals I will never order from them again...I really didn't want to put them on blast but yesterdays meal was just so unbelievable...sad part is I was so hungry I still tried to eat some of it but it was just too bad/burned...I had to order another meal...

This is what was in my box! Is this a joke?

How does a restaurant sell home fries that look like baby home fries? Horrible shame. Eggs and bacon good. But don't waste your money there. The Cook doesn't know that you don't serve crumbs of home fries.

My turkey and dressing lunch with squash casserole and macaroni salad. Yes I like pepper. My boyfriend's pancakes included.

Nice little dive in Mt. Holly! Great breakfast and lunches. We usually visit at least once a week. Quick service and friendly people too.

Newly remodeled. Great service Food came out hot and delicious. Will be coming here again soon.

BBQ sandwich, shrimp plate, kids chicken tenders in the back.

Very friendly staff. Food about what you'd expect in small town grill. A good place to meet friends.

We arrived about an hour before close and had amazing service and great food. Everyone at our table got to enjoy the salad bar. Though it's basic it hits all of the necessary parts. The salad dressings are homemade and there two different coleslaw's and Mac salad. My niece and mom feel in love with both of them. The ranch was so delicious that I dipped my popcorn shrimp, yes my calabash shrimp into the ranch and truthfully I should've asked for a cup of ranch to go to eat my leftover shrimp with. I will definitely come back even though I'm not a big seafood connoisseur. I really enjoyed the simple salad bar and the variety on the menu. My dad also wants to try the all you can eat, but since we arrive late, it was not a good choice for us during this visit. There was no wait when we arrived, and we were immediately greeted by the sweetest hostess, Camila . Her warm smile and kind energy honestly set the tone for the night. Never underestimate how much a genuinely nice welcome can uplift your mood! Our server, Sherry, was just as lovely -- super attentive and quick to take our drink orders . She brought out a basket of hush puppies and OMG -- I am absolutely in love. These were hands down the best hush puppies I've had in the area -- crispy outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. I could've eaten a whole tray! Once I asked for a drink recommendation, Sherry didn't hesitate to help. My husband noticed they had lobster tails on the menu, and you know I had to go for it. I ordered the lobster tail meal with a baked sweet potato on the side. My husband chose the Amberjack cheeseburger with a side of mac & cheese . While we waited for our entrées, I hit up the salad bar , which was fresh and well-kept. The veggies looked bright and crisp -- no wilted greens here! When our food came out, I was truly excited -- my lobster tail was beautifully plated with thoughtful garnishes, but the real magic started the second I took a bite . The flavor was chef's kiss -- perfectly seasoned, with just the right hint of lemon and a buttery finish. I didn't even have to reach for extra butter -- it was already that good. Later, when I spoke to the owner, I found out the secret was something called Jimmy's seasoning, and trust me, it works! My husband really enjoyed his burger -- cooked perfectly and full of flavor. He even let me try his mac & cheese, and let me tell you... creamy, cheesy, and straight-up comfort food heaven. My only minor critique: the antipasta salad from the salad bar wasn't quite up to par. The pasta was a bit overcooked and lacked the zesty vinaigrette flavor I usually look for. But hey, if that's the only thing I could point out, you know the rest of the experience was top-tier! Before we left, I asked Camila if I could speak with the owner, and she kindly introduced me to Corona (that's what the regulars call him). This man is clearly passionate about what he does. We chatted about the food, and I even mentioned how I regretted not coming in sooner -- this place had been sitting on my "Want to go" list for way too long! Corona was genuinely open to feedback, even apologizing for the salad bar issue and thanking me for pointing it out. His love for the restaurant shines through, and it makes a world of difference knowing that the owner personally cooks the lobster tails to ensure perfection. All in all, this spot is perfect whether you're grabbing a meal with the family or looking for a sweet date night. The décor is welcoming, and the ambiance matches the menu beautifully. Oh, and one last thing... I brought home some extra hush puppies and reheated them the next morning. They paired so well with my coffee that I'm honestly dreaming about going back for more. Highly recommend!

Came to celebrate my husband's birthday, and chose Old Stone because it had a kid's menu and we want a "family friendly fancy" environment. Our server was just, eh. In a way he seemed bothered to have a table. Chalked it up as maybe a bad night, but it didn't enhance our experience. We ordered the pork belly appetizer, and the pork belly itself was burnt and the peaches were mushy - almost baby food texture. A miss for us. The steaks, again, amazing, perfectly cooked - even my daughter's steak tips. The sides however, another miss. The kids fries were mushy, and tasted like they had been sitting out a while. My husband's mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant/from a box and lacked the bright white color or fluffy texture. My wedge salad was drenched in dressing, and the dressing itself was runny. It certainly wasn't what I anticipated for a steakhouse wedge. It seemed like a rushed after thought. The other part that was a letdown - every single plate we were handed was broken. Every single one. When you're paying steakhouse prices, I'd like to see presentable plates. One, sure I could see it slipped by, but every one? That's just laziness on replacing them in my opinion. I'll say it a third time, steaks were delicious...but the rest, well it was just lacking, and not sure the steaks hold their own to justify another trip.
