    Adorable coffee cart
    Rachel B.

I had a delicious oat milk latte at this adorable coffee cart at the Castro Valley Farmers Market. Super nice folks and a fun menu, even though I got a more boring drink. Lots of cold foam options like a pumpkin spice that looks tasty. Defiantly stop by if you see them!

Seriously delicious coffee, lovely people, great flavors! Cardamon cold brew, dirty chai, matcha lavender latte- so good, thank you.

After frequenting Mountain Bound Coffee at the Temescal Farmers Market on Sunday mornings, we asked if they would come out and provide their amazing coffee and service for our on-site guests at our camp wedding in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Sarina and Adam enthusiastically agreed, and were amazing to work with! They were so easy to communicate with when organising the set up. They were prompt in any questions we needed answering and so proactive when it came to providing help. They even went above and beyond gave such a unique experience and service to our guests with an attention to detail that just made everything feel special. For example, we provided them with a personalised design and they created a stamp to put on the coffee/tea cups, as well as a little flower and heart shaped clip. The guests & even our venue couldn't stop raving about them, and Mountain Bound became one of the highlights of our whole wedding weekend. The coffee & tea is lovely. Lots of unique flavours that are just done really really well. The French Toast latte is currently our favourite. If you're looking to add something a little extra or special to an event you're hosting, we highly recommend!!

Stopped by this place at the Castro Valley Farmers market and have to say it's a 10/10! The service was great and quick. They have a variety of drinks but I recommend getting the Orange Blossom Latte while it's here! Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! My "hi test" cappuccino was spectacular, smooth and perfect! Honestly, It took me back to Roma where we had aour honeymoon 22 years ago! Bella! If you find yourself on Berkeley's Fourth Street and looking for a perfect roasted coffee make sure to hop into Artis Coffee and I know you will love it too!

Artis Coffee was okay…read more I had an Ube Latte, 12 oz, iced, with matcha and oat milk ($8.50 plus $2 tip) and it was good. Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.

Don't make the same mistake because it's definitely worth stopping in. The atmosphere was my favorite part. They had chill lo-fi music playing, people working on their laptops, and others relaxing on the floor cushion seating just enjoying their drinks and conversations. It felt cozy, welcoming, and like a place you could spend a couple of hours without feeling rushed. I ordered the Earl Grey Matcha, which was smooth and flavorful without being overly sweet. My daughter ordered the Banana Pudding Latte, one of their fan favorites, and she absolutely loved it. They also had a nice selection of seasonal drinks, so there's plenty to choose from if you're looking to try something new. If you're looking for a coffee shop with a laid-back vibe that's perfect for catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply slowing down for a bit, Mind Coffee is definitely worth checking out. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

The star of the lineup is definitely the Orange Blossom Latte or so I've heard, (it's their OG!)…read moreThe coffee is light with a subtle hint of orange on the finish, so neither flavor overpowers the other. Instead, they complement each other really well, creating a balanced and delicious drink. As for the Whipped Honey Crème Latte, I didn't really taste much hojicha. It was mostly bitter and watered down, even though they just made it. Never had a Cortado before, but it was my first time trying it. It was verry bitter. That's all I have to say. I do have to say that the shop was a little hard to find. I was following Google Maps, but the hair salon next door blocks the storefront quite a bit, so I didn't really notice the sign.

Baristas explained that they are up for trying different and sometimes unusual combinations for their customers. I wasn't adventurous this time, but it made me want to explore in the future. I came here to work, hoping for a relatively warm and cozy spot that wasn't too sleepy. I was not disappointed. The wifi was good, music was fun and unobtrusive. Decorations and layout gave a friendly, welcoming environment. Not only were the benches and padded chairs comfy, the ambiance was kept even in the bathroom. Spacious, warm lighting, cute bathroom with a great mirror and cool sink. I don't ever ding places for hospital-looking bathrooms (you know, fluorescent lights, questionable floors, sand paper toilet paper...) but this was one of the few where I was impressed. Good to know: Jaffa cakes are only available on the weekend Parking: Some of the streets nearby are resident-only parking so make sure to double check!

The latte was sweet but still delicious. I'd probably order it hot next time. It's a large space with merchandise, beans, and accessories for sale. They've also got a good sized menu for coffee and tea drinkers alike.

I like how they have outdoor seating - perfect for a summer day to enjoy a coffee and sit around (has few umbrellas to cover the sun). Inside there are only a small number of seats. Ordering is easy and you can also watch them pour your coffee, which is nice. They have a lot of Chinese beans that I wouldn't have tried otherwise or known about. They sell beans and coffee accessories there too. We ordered a pour over and they had at least 7 beans to choose from, and even had Geishas (this may have been special beans on rotation). On the pricier side but that's expected. We also tried the Shiro miso latte, which was a tad disappointing. Perhaps we aren't actually the biggest fan of miso in a coffee drink but the flavor profile wasn't our taste. I'd return for the specialty beans + pour over if I was ever in the area!
