Absolutely beautiful grounds and view! I did the wine tasting and ended up loving (and purchasing) the blanc en blanc. However I would classify our service as terrible. There were four other occupied tables near us and one pretty young girl we could see on the grassy area, and all of them has carafes of chilled water on their tables. Not us. We were pretty much ignored by our server, who was constantly at the table of older folks next to us. Even when we asked for our bill and to purchase two bottles of wine, the wait time was ridiculous. I wish I'd had the courage to leave a smaller tip. That being said, the venture was beautiful and would be lovely for a wedding. read more

Great spot for okay wine and wonderful views. I advise young people not to visit without people who look older. My fiance and I visited for my birthday and we weren't spoken to much at all; the tasting menu was dropped off and once we chose our flights, the presentation was second-rate. After that, we weren't spoken to until we were ready to leave. The experience was frustrating because we made sure to mention we had never visited the winery and showed interest in learning more about the way they made wine and more about the property. In comparison, the older people sitting on the second-story patio were being schmoozed and were offered a tour by the same guy who wouldn't speak to us. I assume the lack of kindness, attentiveness, and politeness was because we are young and they assumed we wouldn't be purchasing any bottles of wine- we purchased two. read more

What a wonderful vistor area they have created in a beautiful setting. There are 4 seperate buildings where tastings, parties and other events can be held. Some are perfect for summer and several can be closed up for fall and winter. Wonderful staff is attentive and full of knowledge about their wines and wine maker. They produce a great selection of wine and we really enjoyed the Cabernnay. The area is an upscale market and the wines are priced fairly for it. Do stop in for a tasting, we highly recommend it. read more

Mountain Brook is a very nice winery run by Dennis who is a very excited and happy to be here. I could tell by the way he talked to us about the process and at the tasting room when he explained all the wines. The tasting room is upstairs in a quaint room that seats about 8 at the bar. There were 4 tastes on the menu starting with a chardonnay which is aged in a oak barrel for 10 months. this was by far the favorite wine of the group. Next was a rose' that is traditional European style rose'. It is not sweet like the American rose'. They have a merlot which is aged in oak for about 2 years and has a very smoky flavor. last was a blend wine made from 1/3 cabernet sauvignon, 1/3 merlot, 1/3 petit verdot. This was very robust, awesome flavor. The wines have won some awards in 2013. read more

Beautiful location lots of improvements by new owners. Space and buildings for events and weddings, wine tastings . Lovely new landscaping and rock walls and shaded pergolas with seating . Views especially from second story deck. Plans for music events and outdoor cinema. They are releasing a Riesling and Pino Grigio this Friday. We will be back for a tasting. WARNING! I AM NOT A AVID WINE DRINKER! Two words that describe this place: Super welcoming! We stopped in for a wine tasting and were shocked how busy they were. It took a little bit to get started and then a little longer to get a seat but the wait was WORTH IT!!! They owners are extremely inviting and love to talk about there vineyard and what makes them different. I enjoyed taking the tour and learning about the wine process and the different barrels. I am a craft beer person, but when in rome.... I enjoyed all the wines surprisingly. The tastes were good and not to overpowering. I also enjoyed that they cut up some cheese and passed it around to everyone during there wine tasting. This place also lets you keep the glass you sample wines from. FREE SOUVENIR!!!! Mountain Brook Vineyards is a pretty nice winery. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. We got a tour and an explanation about the wine-making process while we were here. This winery has a small selection of wine (around 3 to 4), but the ones they do have are good. The chardonnay is darn amazing. The bottles run about $20 a piece, but they are very good wines for that price. Two downsides - the parking is weird and the lot is small. Also, the wine-tasting room is upstairs, so it is not easily accessible. However, it is a nice spot to stop if you are visiting other wineries in the area. read more

I was in the local area for a quick weekend trip with my fiancé. While he participated in the Spartan Race, I decided to try out a nearby winery. My Air BnB host highly recommended Mountain Brook Vineyards. I was the first person there at the start of the business day and was able to walk around the lower outdoor level for a few minutes. It was a little chilly to sit outside, but they do offer a covered patio area with comfy couches and a warm fire going. I walked upstairs to the main tasting room and was able to capture such a gorgeous view of the valley from the balcony. I was greeted by a very nice employee named Jason. He provided a ton of various tasting options. I opted to go for a standard tasting of their local wine offerings. He was very knowledgeable and provided plenty of information about the winery itself, as well as the varietals they grow on site. I will definitely be back in the future! read more

We had a great visit to Mountain Brook Vineyards. They have very good wines, a nice tasting room and very friendly staff. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a glass or two of wine. Second time visiting Mountain Brook. Great winery to sit back, soak in the scenery and enjoy some great wine. Visited on Saturday and 4/6/19 and lucked out as this was the first day they started offering sandwiches and other goodies. The sandwiches were overflowing with meat and cheeses and made on homemade artisan bread. The food was delicious. It's nice to get something to eat while drinking. The staff really know their wines and will help make recommendations. If I had to pick only one winery in the area to visit it would be Mountain Brook. read more

After visiting a few other vineyards in the state and coming back to Mountain Brook, we now realize how truly good they are. We've been going to MountainBrook for over 3 years. We've watched as they have grown and now they've moved their tasting room and there is more space to relax and enjoy the fantastic wine! They've been adding more and more food to snack on plus local cheeses and chocolates to purchase! We can't say enough good things about Dennis and Mir, you definitely will meet them! I always have a problem deciding which wine to have/take home as I really like them all for different reasons! We joined their wine club which as numerous dinners and things like barrel tastings! We've learned so much about their wine and winery as they patiently answer any question. If you need to really really unwind with a glass of wine....this is the place! read more

Best vineyard experience I've had in a while! I am a wine lover and frequent vineyards around the area almost every weekend, and Mountain Brook is easily the most enjoyable atmosphere around. Great service, an amazing ambiance, and the wines are PHENOMENAL! The staff at the vineyard is very welcoming and friendly and they make the experience so enjoyable. Will be returning with some of my girlfriends in a few weeks for a bachelorette weekend and could not be more excited! Absolutely wonderful venue, my favorite by far! read more

Visited Mountain View for the second time in 6 months...first time was great...you paid ;for your tastings and were treated to artisan cheeses and bread, cheese and crackers. wonderful experience..went for the second time this weekend and was surprised that the venue had changed drastically. The cheese was now an added expense as were the bread and crackers. that would have been OK except for the bread was an oversized loaf for $6 and more than a day or two old. the cheese was that of store bought for $6 more than two people could snack on the crackers for $5.50 looked like toll house for a sleeve on no more than 15 to 20 . This was a great disappointment. will try other vineyards in the coming weeks. read more

Love love loved the overall experience we had here. Our first time. This is a small vineyard on only several acres. Wine selection is limited. However, the owners invite you into their tasting room as if it is their own home. It was a personal, friendly, laid back experience! This was my husbands first time at any winery and Mountain Brook set the bar high for him! My husband enjoyed the wines more than I did, however I would be more than happy to come back and enjoy a glass of wine with these wonderful people! I think wines can be a matter of very personal preference so I feel I can not judge on that note. So five stars it is for overall experience! read more
