We decided to go in to look at their flowers and buy one ourselves. Their flowers are gorgeous! I just love their selection. They also have paper flowers made by this local artist and also candles and earrings. The Valentine's bouquets were almost twice as expensive as their regular ones but the flowers last awhile.

I was here to grab a succulent (zebra haworthia), but of course I want to look around! I was greeted quickly when I walked in and noticed some air plants right away. I have a little pup that currently lives in a shot glass, so I was hoping to get the little guy a new home. Alas, they sell some air plants, but they don't really have holders for them. I opted to get a container for my new succulent while I was here as well. Basically all of the pots they have are technically too big, but I was able to find one that was close enough and matched the aesthetics of my Thanksgiving cactus's home. My new little friend isn't quite ready to replant, but with a little creativity I can at least hide the plastic pot. The shop also does some really nice candles and beautiful flower arrangements - pots and all included! Great local business that's worth popping your head in if you're in the area!

Once we figured…read moreout a general direction to go, we contacted all of the local bambo outfits including one in Portland. After gathering way too much info and comparing, we called Cascade Gardens. George Gearhart was easy to talk to, answered a miriad of questions, then gave us a great deal on two 15 gallon Fargesia Robustas that were already 10-12' tall. There may be bigger outfits in the area but no one knew as much or had as beautiful bamboo specimins as George at Cascade. As the real estate broker, SeattleViewHomes.com I collect A+ vendors, subcontractors, tradesmen and techs. George is the latest top of the list of vendor I will refer my clients to.

I am so grateful to have gotten good advice from a knowledgeable resource. George even suggested methods which didn't involve Cascade Gardens' services until later in the process, which was refreshing...I was getting good advice instead of just marketing. Thanks George! I will absolutely use Cascade Gardens and recommend them to anyone looking to remove their bamboo!
