The first time our dog had a mass on his face. He was extremely wary and skittish coming here, even pooped on the floor from anxiety, but the staff was super calm and patient with him. They assessed him and gave us our options. When they removed the mass, they gave us detailed instructions on aftercare and encouraged us to call if we had any follow up questions. Unfortunately, the last time we went was when our dog passed. They assessed him and gave us the news, giving us ample time to grieve. Some of the staff even remembered him for the first visit. They gave us our options and sent us a card signed by the staff which we certainly didn't expect. I'm super thankful for VEG ER and the people who work there. You can tell they genuinely care about animals, and that care extends to humans too. Know you will be in good hands if you have to come here. Parking: There is a free parking lot. It's relatively small, but we never had an issue finding a spot when we came.

I asked how long she had, and they said they didn't know, but a very short amount of time. I left in tears and mourned for three days (by mourning, I mean crying non-stop). On the third day, the swelling had gone down, so I made an appointment with the regular vet. They got a blood sample from her leg, and under 10 minutes later, told me the sample was cancer-free. Her leg simply had an infection of some kind. The leg healed. Our dog is fine. When I think about how close I came to putting our sweet pup down at the advice of the careless "vets" at VEG, it absolutely breaks my heart. Oh, and I paid over $2000 for that appointment. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE.

I also didn't like the lack of privacy. there are no exam rooms, you are consulted right out in the open and it is very off-putting.

She couldnt get comfortable lying down. Classic signs of congestive heart failure. My normal vet did not have any openings for a week. I found this place during a google search. They got her in right away. They provided me a number of option and reccommendations. I decided to pay for the expensive stuff EKG, Ultrasound etc. They found exactly what I thought and immediatly gave her a lasix treatment to reduce the fluid retention. within hours she was breathing 100% better. The test showed Enlarged Heart, Glitchy Mitral valve and Congestive heart failure. The meds prescribed have worked great so far. She is on the schedule to see there cardiac specialist on 8/10. Yes it wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. This place is open 24/7. Of course the overhead is high. They have all the specialist and equipment you could ask for. I did have to wait longer than initially told. However, they are an emergency clinic! They prioritise the most sick or injured. Which I appreciate. If my waiting two hours longer than expected allows someone else's babies to survive than so be it.

Clearly, if you don't look carefully, those bad reviews are easily buried. The nurses were incredibly rude. I asked them to return my dog to me, but they kept lying, telling me to wait ten minutes, five minutes, then two minutes. It was ridiculous. They deceived me and made me wait in the room for over an hour, yet they still refused to return my dog. Finally, I told them that if they didn't give my dog back, I would call the police immediately. Only then did they return my dog to me. What's absurd is that when they handed my dog back, they cursed and said my dog would definitely die. The nurse thought I couldn't understand English and was shockingly brazen. I guess they were angry because they didn't make enough money off of me. When I told them I wouldn't pay their exorbitant fees, they immediately suggested euthanizing my dog. It was unbelievably cruel. In the end, I went to another hospital where my dog received excellent care.

There was no sympathy, no urgency, no sense of responsibility for my dog's safety. Misty weighs 52 pounds -- in the middle of this seizure I could barely even lift her. I had to drag her limp, thrashing body just to get her onto her bed so she would stop slamming her head on the hardwood floor. No owner should ever have to go through that alone. I even have video proof of this nightmare that I will attach with my review. As her owner, what was I supposed to do in that moment? I trusted these people to keep her safe, to care for her, and instead I was left completely unprepared and traumatized. The lack of compassion and communication at this hospital is inexcusable. I will never bring Misty back here again. Pet owners deserve a hospital that takes the time to properly monitor, educate, and support us through situations like this -- not one that treats our beloved pets like just another number.

Crestview is kind to my babies, and they understand that my dogs are extremely bonded, so they do everything they can to keep them together. Lola was clearly in distress and wasn't breathing well. After the vet saw her X-rays it was determined that Lola had fluid in her lungs due to tumors in and around her lung. Every single person we encounter at North GA was professional and kind. We decided that it was best for Lola to put her to sleep. When the time came we held Lola while the vet gave her the shots. I wish I could remember the vets name as she was so patient and sweet to us and Lola. I would highly recommend North GA Veterinary Specialist.
